BOTTOM LINE: We loved this property and would highly recommend it. PROS: This was a great house for us. It’s a beautiful 4 BR – 3 on the 1st floor & the master on the 2nd floor. There are doors from the kitchen & living room going out to back patio & pool. There was a TV, table & chairs, grill, & small refrigerator, so it was a great setup! CONS: Back Patio - There were 3 owls living on the back patio, so there was a lot of owl droppings & we did not feel comfortable using that area. My husband called the number on the instructions & they asked for pictures, which he sent. Then another guy reached out to us. He said he was at the property the day before & he originally seemed reluctant to send someone to clean the patio, stating that owls are protected down there. We were fine with that, but still wanted it cleaned up so we could use the patio. The next day, someone did come to power wash the area & did a great job. Once that happened, we stayed back there every day. The gentleman did really work with us to get everything straightened out, and we appreciated everything he did to make our stay a great one. Pool - There were piles of dirt (not debris) laying on the bottom of the pool. The instructions said not to call about pool debris as this is an open pool & that is to be expected. There was a pool net & we were absolutely fine with cleaning out debris from the trees, but the dirt was still on the bottom. We have a pool at home & would have cleaned it if the equipment was there, although I understand why they would not want renters using their equipment. They did send someone the 2nd day to clean it, & again, we were very happy with that and used it every day. Pool Heat – the listing states “heated pool” and “hot tub (private)”. Quote from listing: “Or stay closer to home and soak up the sun by your private heated pool”. I asked about getting the heat turned on & I was told that the hot tub is a “spa”, not a hot tub, and that heat is extra. I read the listing again and it still shows heated pool & hot tub. I knew nothing about the extra cost for heat. SUGGESTIONS: Check in is 4:00 pm. Could someone possibly visit the property that morning or afternoon to make sure everything is clean inside & out before the new renters arrive? Also, update the listing to clarify the extra cost for heating the pool.

My partner and I stayed in this home for more than a week and had an incredible time! The home is spacious, yet cozy. It was incredibly convenient for the kitchen to be fully stocked with table settings and cookware, a stove and dishwasher. The pool is where we spent most of our time because it was refreshing, clean, and there were a bunch of floaties/toys available to us! The house being right on the canal is so beautiful - you think it can’t get any better when you see it in the daytime, but then you’re down there at night and it’s a whole different vibe. I can’t wait to stay at this home again!!
