Beautifully situated on a spacious garden property in the heart of the Fredericksburg National Historic District, this pioneer cabin is just one block from Main Street and Marktplatz, the frequent site of festivals and the seasonal farmers market. This single-level home provides both serenity and convenience, making it an ideal destination for cozy romantic getaways and weekend explorations of the Texas Hill Country.

The interior living space is full of rustic charm, thanks to original log walls, a wood-burning fireplace, and classic leather and wood furnishings. After a day spent hiking, rock climbing, or birding in the Enchanted Rock State Natural Area just 17 miles north, return home to relax on the leather sofa and watch your favorite film on the cable TV and DVD player.

Thanks to the leisurely lunches at one of the cafes nearby and the delectable dinners you're sure to enjoy at Vaudeville just five blocks away, guests at Caroline's Cabin on the Creek will have few incentives to cook. But if you do, the kitchenette offers a microwave, a coffee maker, and a small refrigerator for storing your produce from the nearby farmers market.

And guests need only step outside to enjoy one of the loveliest settings in all of Fredericksburg. Read a novel on the front porch as you relax in a rocking chair, set up a picnic on the shaded grassy lawn, or open a bottle of Texas wine to enjoy with a view of Town Creek.

With one bedroom and one full bathroom, this snug little cabin can accommodate as many as two guests. The bedroom features hardwood floors and a grand queen-size bed, while the adjoining bathroom offers a stall shower.

As one of the most exciting wine destinations in all of Texas, Fredericksburg boasts a variety of tasting rooms both in town and within an easy drive. Stroll a few blocks down Main Street to discover the ever-popular Grape Creek Vineyards tasting room, or hop in the car and drive 11 miles east to reach the vineyard itself.

You'll also be within walking distance of wonderful live music, restaurants, and more than 80 sites of historic interest in Fredericksburg alone.

Great location…short walk to all the action. Crossroads restaurant and bar is a must see!

If you come in understanding your staying at a log cabin home still standing since the late 1800's and you have a knack for history you wont be disappointed! If you think this is ultra-modern plush luxury stay you might re-look at the pics! Wife and I stayed here for our 6th year anniversary. We both loved how quant, cozy, yet historic decor. My wifes isn't exactly a history buff looking to stay in an 1800's log cabin, but she had no problem here, and keeps an open mind. Its hard to tell but the unit does have floor vents for AC and HEAT, so even though it was March, we stayed comfortable, this was my main concern for my wife. Front of the cabin by entrance is straight up pioneer. The inside walls are the outside walls lol and you can see right up to the roof top. The back towards the bedroom was likely added on or renovated, nothing new, wood slat walls, basic small bathroom and shower ( I admit the shower could use renovation). Bed is a queen and VERY soft, we sank in it. Amenities are few, but there is a small coffee maker (needs updated, as the basket for the coffee caused it to spill over so use filters), a electric tea pot, some tea bags, mini fridge and microwave. They provided coffee and small cereal, but no milk, bowls or silverware (that we noticed). We didnt care, though, as if you're like us will be out and about on main st. anyway and not eating cereal. WHICH BTW is really just one block over. Which is awesome. You feel slightly secluded on the property yet close to walking distance. Really private. Really enjoyed morning coffee on the front porch. We will be back. Really a treat to be able to stay in something so solid and preserved, little piece of history if you have an open mind.

Mixed joy on our stay. The cabin is very lovely. The view from the front porch is very relaxing. We loved the soft comfortable bed. Now the bad parts. There was only a small coffee pot and no cream of any kind. My wife and I are coffee drinkers and would have loved a coffee while sitting on the front porch. A kurig or other type of pod would have been a very welcome addition. The front door does not lock unless you dead bolt it and the bathroom door does not unlatch unless you giggle the handle. The TV only has a few channels very basic service. The bed part of B&B was wonderful but the breakfast was definitely lacking. For example, they had cereal and oatmilk, no milk. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it could have been better with small changes.

Caroline’s cabin is a wonderful little place to relax after a day of good wine and shopping.

My husband and I stay in cabins like this every year we stay in Fredericksburg. This place was not a disappointment! We enjoyed how close to town it was and the size of the cabin. We host Thanksgiving every year in our Cabins for friends that join us that stay in an RV park and hotel. The 6 of us enjoyed our dinners, game nights and the fireplace each of the three nights there. Just bring you Firewood and relax; nice place to kick your shoes off and Enjoy! The customer service is great and will respond right away if you have any issues.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Towncreek Cabin. It is just 2 blocks away from main street so location is fantastic! Everything was very clean and well kept. Check-in/out was seamless and wifi strong. My favorite thing had to be the bed - so, so soft!

Pros:
-cool location
-great water pressure in the shower
- log cabin living, but with modern amenities like A/C and ceiling fans
Cons:
-Bed softer than a marshmallow; My husband and I kept rolling into each other all night.
-Waking up to an overactive nail gun at 7am thanks to the neighboring construction site.

We loved that we can walk to the shops, Hondos, and other local restaurants!

It was cute and cozy. Very warm inside the cabin even at night, though.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Cary. We are glad you enjoyed this cabin and we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. We will look into adding more fans, and we hope to host you again in the near future!

Loved our stay!

This cabin was so sweet. It felt private even though it's close to Main Street. You could hear traffic, but the view of the backyard and creek were amazing. I definitely recommend and would stay there again. Vacasa was a life saver as well as I needed a place at the last minute, and loved it. Pastries were provided as a nice touch!
KEITH B. Mar 2019
This is such a cool place to stay it is like going back in history 1800’s but with all the amenities of 2019. Love it and we will be back.
Harvey T. Mar 2019
A rustic log cabin is hard to beat! And this is one! Located on a nice small creek with privacy! Nice fireplace and comfy front porch!

Not really any issues except no instructions on which TV remote to use and Not to use.
Also it would be nice to have a BBQ grill.

There are many great places to stay in Fredericksburg but if you want a place to yourself this is the spot!
Glenn K. Mar 2019
We recently spent a long weekend in the Town Creek Cabin celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and other than the freezing temperatures outside...the stay was perfect! We have rented the cabin on 2-3 prior occasions, and it has become our favorite place to stay in Fredericksburg. Walking distance to Hondo's and Main St, we find it is the perfect location. The only thing that could have made our stay even better was if there had been firewood available for the fireplace (there was a firewood rack behind the cabin, but it was empty), as the front living area of the cabin remains pretty cold while the bedroom heats up nicely. Other than that minor detail, greatly enjoyed the stay and highly recommend!

If you are looking for a different experience, then I can’t recommend this cabin enough. It is a combination of Texas Hill Country rustic with all the modern conveniences. We definitely plan on coming back!

This little log cabin had the look and feel of being out in the country without having to drive there.
Marilee M. Nov 2018
As advertised, large lot, private, cozy. Very relaxing as we just wanted some quiet time. Continental breakfast and daily housekeeping. Soft mattress with a dip in the middle.

We were so impressed booking the unit with ease and the follow up of the owner who made sure we had everything we needed. This is truly a treat for everyone who enjoys a authentic cabin stay. The unit was comfortable, quiet and private. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in town in a beautiful rustic setting!

We loved our little cabin! Quaint accommadations and everything so close. We especially loved the grounds on which it sits. We even had a four point buck walk down the street early one morning while we had coffee on the porch! We will be back

The Town Creek Log Cabin is a cute, private little place to stay in Fredericksburg. It is in the perfect location, with a short walk to Main Street shopping and food. The Cabin has everything you need for a short stay! I loved the super soft bed, the antique decorations, and the snacks and drinks to get us going in the morning. Definitely a place to stay again on our next trip!
Dale B. Jul 2018
Unique little cabin - full of history. Porch looks out over town creek.
Robin A. Jul 2018
We loved the log Cabin and how close it was to everything
Laura D. May 2018
This is an authentic cabin folks.. no reproduction here! If you are observant there are many tiny things you notice that make you go hmmm.. and wonder about the original inhabitants! Very comfortable, cool and quiet all night long in spite of being steps away from Main Street! The scrumptious cinnamon breakfast cake left for us was sooo yummy! We will definitely return!
Dick C. May 2018
Great location, walking distance to most of Fredericksburg

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is great for walking distance to central Fredericksburg. The cabin is very rustic but very comfortable. It is a log cabin! Nice front porch in a private setting.
Joe V. Sep 2017
This A great little house on some private property luck you have room to sit out side and talk or play guitar. The only problem with this is that the bed is so soft you sync them into it. We like a firm mattress and this is basically the absolute softest sinking mattress you could imagine plus it had a pillow extra. we love this place but unfortunately cannot stay again because of this .
Mary G. May 2017
Nice spacious location. Bed is very soft. Cabin is very quaint. We enjoyed our stay, had no problems.
Deborah M. May 2017
This charming little cabin is just the right retreat for me. First, it's located two blocks from Main Street. You can walk everywhere! From parking by a stone wall, going through a rusty iron gate on to the perfect porch which faces away from the street - well, it's lovely. It's rustic. It's peaceful. It's relaxing. I even had four guests one evening who enjoyed the green grass and new spring leaves. My guests were deer. It was wonderful. If this little cabin had a stove I'd try to buy it. As it is I'll be content to rent it a third time and a fourth and well, you get the idea.
Carolyn C. Mar 2017
The cabin is lovely and private. Very convenient to downtown. Will return here next time.
Lara H. Mar 2017
We enjoyed our stay. The staff at Vacasa responded quickly when we needed assistance. The cabin is very close to Main Street and the proximity allowed us to walk to shops and restaurants.

Angela L. Oct 2016
My husband and I spent our 15th wedding anniversary here and it was perfect. The location was great, the cabin was cozy and private. Just a short walk to downtown. The pastry that was provided on both mornings was delicious!
Kira E. Sep 2016
I was so impressed with our stay at the Town Creek Log Cabin! It was so much nicer and more fun than staying at a hotel. We arrived late at night and check in was super easy - plus staff had turned on some lamps for us which was so nice since we were arriving in the dark. There was fresh OJ, milk, and cream for coffee, as well as a yummy cinnamon roll/coffee cake type bread for breakfast in the cabin. The location had good privacy from neighbors but was so close to everything in Fredericksburg. I would absolutely stay here again!
James M. Sep 2016
We loved the location and feel of the property. It felt as if you were alone in a cabin by the creek in the woods but we walked 2 blocks to Main Street to shop and eat. We would definitely return. Thanks to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable.
Michael M. Aug 2016
If you are looking for a quiet, private place to get away...I highly recommend this cabin.

A wonderful little cabin with privacy and a great location. The unit was well stocked for two and parking was a breeze. Very cozy and tastefully decorated. The bedding and pillows were super comfy. Beautiful views outside the unit - great places to sit in the evenings and enjoy a book or refreshments.
Adam S. Aug 2016
It was very pleasant to be within walking distance of the center of town while feeling like we were in our own world. Being able to sit on the porch in a rocking chair without seeing lights and noises of others was a real treat.
