Of course the views were absolutely stunning! The house is updated and beautiful. The drive up was a tad bit scary if you're not use to mountain roads, it gets steep, but any vehicle should make it up without problem. The hot tub was perfect on slightly chilly nights. We spent a lot of time around the pool table, playing music on the TV. It's close to Asheville and Hendersonville. Chimney rock village is right down the mountain (still 15 min drive). Because of how these mountain roads are, grocery stores or gas stations are all at least 20 min away so keep that in mind before you ride up. The kitchen was stocked, but you may have to make due with what's there. If you're particular about your cooking, you may want to bring a few pots and utensils yourself but they have the basics and can be worked with. The biggest issue we had was a black bear kept messing with the trash cans. When we arrived, the bear had already gotten in and had it strung down the hillside so he just kept coming back. He wasn't a danger but definitely be aware of him and make sure the lids are latched good. And the water is scalding hot so be aware of that (great for dishes, very hot on hands). We spent an amazing week here and will gladly come back.

Stay based on check in/out was 66 hours.

Within first hour reported no running water. Running water retuned, so closed ticket, but reopened when water failed again. Took 24 hours to have running water. No water also meant no use of toilets.

Nice place otherwise.

Turnkey did reimburse $75 for inconvenience, but at $500 a night seems paltry to inconvenience. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

This cabin is delightful. Very clean and well-kept. All the amenities that you will need are here. Great communication from host. Excellent in every aspect. Breathtaking views and the hot tub is a plus. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Beautiful location. But quite a ride down the mountain to get to town. Be sure you have everything you need to minimize a somewhat hairy drive down roads with hairpin turns and switchbacks, especially at night. But if you’re looking for beauty, solitude and relaxation this is your place. Ample room for large parties. This home served as an excellent home base for our adventures in Asheville, Hendersonville, and Lake Lure. The views are even more lovely than advertised, and the hot tub is truly great (newer, clean, etc). The home itself was a bit less clean than other rentals we’ve stayed in lately (a loofa left in a shower from a previous guest, spilled m&ms under the master bed and dead bugs on the floor downstairs) - all of which was easy enough for us to clean up. The management team was wonderfully proactive and communicative in advance of our stay about some appliance issues (and provided a spare fridge to replace the main kitchen fridge that was broken). There’s a big of wear and tear in the home (expected of a rental) that should eventually be addressed - broken blinds in the upstairs bedroom, a broken trim piece on the front door. None of these interferes with our stay, and we would be glad to return to this property in the future! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

A wonderful place for an overdue family vacation. Lots of room to spread out and relax. The views from the decks are so serene. Great place for morning coffee. Rental company was very responsive and courteous when needed. Would recommend both the home and the management company. Thanks for a great stay! The pictures really do not exemplify the beauty of this house and its surrounding landscape. My girlfriends and I needed a quick getaway and this mountaintop home proved to be perfect! The drive up the mountain was a bit scary so we were glad not to have planned lots of excursions. I mean, it`s the mountains so windy roads are to be expected. Just prepare yourself for the twists and turns!

The house`s amenities were very nice. As several others have noted, a shower on the main floor would be helpful but we knew that in advance and made it work by sharing the basement and second floor bathrooms. Otherwise, everything was magnificent! I definitely plan to come again. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Great location, lovely views, nice decor, nice placement of towels for guests. Enjoyed our family time, but property has issues. The millipede issue was overwhelming and needs attention. Deck needs sealing. Both hardwood and basement carpeting need deep cleaning. Seating was nice outside but if weather does not permit, no options to seat 6+ people inside. Overgrown front yard. Very nice views and secluded at top of mtn. Cleaning crew must have skipped floors and under the couch. Many small millipede bugs will be in the basement so be ready. Also a musty odor in basement. Despite the negatives, we really enjoyed the views and family time. We would stay again but ask for assistance with the bugs beforehand. Not having a shower on main level was a little difficult for my parents in their 70’s. Had to refill propane tank for grill out of my pocket and still waiting for reimbursement 3 weeks later. We had a great time at this property. It is very secluded on a windy mountain path, so if you aren’t up for driving to town for groceries when you need them, make sure to bring it with you! The views are excellent. The beds are comfy. The kitchen is well appointed but only has 6 plates. We had 8 in our party so we had to be creative. More towels would be nice as well. There were exactly 8, and 5 towels for the hot tub. We are very flexible so didn’t mind, but it’s all worth noting. This is a great spot for families or couples. This rental is clean, well cared for, spacious, and well decorated. The views from the wrap around deck are truly breathtaking! Seven friends did a weekend trip to do some area hiking. We really enjoyed our stay. There were only minor issues that we totally overlooked: 1st floor bath has no shower, hot tub had to be serviced during 3 day visit, oven took long time to heat up, location is beautiful but far from the grocery store. None of these minor issues detracted from our vacation! If we return to the Asheville area to do more hiking, we`ll be sure to get this same rental home. My family enjoyed our time in the North Carolina mountains tremendously and the rental home was wonderful. The views from the wrap around decks are inspiring. The home itself was lovely and I would highly recommend a visit. We even enjoyed the outdoor hot tub in the January evening. Excellent location, property was even better than described and everyone loved it. The views were amazing, the hot tub was great, and the fire pit was awesome. A+/5 star experience. Definitely go to Chimney Rock. They shops/experience are better than downtown Asheville IMO. Walk along the river and if you have kids...definitely do the Gemstone Mine. Well worth the $9...the kids loved it! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Had a super fun time. Comfortable beds for all. Very clean. Upscale appliances. And the view, the sunsets and being in the clouds in the morning. Clean hot tub - very fun memories were made. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

Nicole . Jul 2019
Overall the rental was good but there were a couple issues. There were two empty propane tanks there. We were not able to grill the first night like we planned when we got there. The floors were not cleaned well and the remotes and trash can had funk on them. Besides those the rental was great. The location is beautiful. We will be back to this house. It has great views with two decks- we spent all morning driving coffee and looking at the mountains. It is closer to hiking, rock climbing, and about 35 minutes to downtown Asheville. We ended up not going and doing as much as we had planned because we were enjoying the house, views and hot tub too much.
Property manager was very responsive- We had an issue where we couldn`t unlock the chairs and someone came over that day to help.

Beds were comfortable and the home was much more spacious than I thought it would be!

Kitchen had most utensils and supplies but I`d recommend bringing all oils, condiments, etc.. there were plenty of towels, including towels for the hot tub, and soaps and shower stuff was provided. It was A GREAT WEEKEND! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this absolutely gorgeous mountaintop home! The views were incredible from the wrap around deck. The steep, curving roads to access this property were fun to navigate as well! Everything in this home is of high quality - from the amazing cupboards and furnishings to the Kohler fixtures in the bathrooms. The kitchen is well-appointed - we had everything we needed. It was great to have WiFi and to be able to stream Netflix and Amazon even in this kind of remote area. The only thing that people should be aware of is that there is no shower in the main level bathroom. There is a beautiful jacuzzi tub, but the only showers were upstairs and downstairs. We had my 88 year old mother with us, and this did pose a bit of an issue, but we worked things out. I only mention it for others that may have some mobility issues. Other than that - this was a dream home for us!! Loved it, and look forward to returning! This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
