Arrived Wednesday to find residue left on front bench inside house, cracked coffee pot (needed to send out for coffee every day), pot appeared never cleaned, sink stuck in closed position in master bath deeming it unusable. Texted and sent pictures to Vacasa EVERY DAY and the only response was "it has been escalated" or " excuse our high demand". High demand for an October stay?? Not once did anyone call or come to house until I found a phone number for Vacasa. Then and only then (on Saturday with one day left in our stay) was a new coffee pot delivered and sink was fixed. Totally unacceptable

Cons -
- Arrived on Wednesday to find garbage and recycling bins filled and flies everywhere. This got worse as garbage continued to pile up outside of bins.
- Front porch not well maintained
- Dirt on bench in front entrance inside house
- Coffee pot cracked and left dirty
- Kitchen faucet diverter was broken not allowing for spray change
- Master bathroom sink stopper was shut and unable to open leaving rancid water in sink
- No hand towels provided
- Utensils were minimal
- No board games, beach chairs, or bikes
- TV needed in front room as opposed to kitchen.
- Heard what seemed to be some kind of animal in attic.
- Do not rely on text messaging Vacasa as it goes no where.

Logged an official complaint with Vacasa to see if I will be reimbursed in any way. Still waiting on call back.

Got there on Wednesday the 14th. Was told we couldn’t check in till 4 pm. Had a 1:03 tee time. By the time we got playing and having a bite to eat there was NO one around to talk to . Thank God I was able to reach Sandra or we would have been forced to sleep in the car. VERY CONFUSING !!!
Fortunately for Sandra we were able to pull it out. House was great. Getting into the house was too confusing for me. Very stressful !!!

My wife said this is the cleanest bayside home yet. We’ve rented at bayside for the last 13 years and if you know my wife, she’s a clean freak.

So, this statement coming from her is a big deal.

I had contacted Vacasa regarding the cleaning of the property, they said that they had taking steps to make sure the home was clean. The home had clean sheets and clean towels, nicely vacuum no trash, the only thing was that the dishwasher was full of clean dishes. As far as the checking process is very smooth, the response from vacasa is also great when you call them with questions. Problem; (the pool passes) need to make sure how many people are going you need to purchase them, vacasa requires 10 days before arrival or they have a penalty fee! I had called to ask them regarding the pool and amenities and all they said was that the welcome package was at the welcome center which wasn't true, I called them and explained what their customer service said to me and still didn't wave that fee for us. I hope they change that rule since sometimes if you have a big group some people might cancel if they get sick. Home is very spacious nicely decor and fully equipped kitchen.

The community association at the Bayside resort has designated a fee to be charged to guests who wish to use the amenities and facilities under their control. They have designated Vacasa to collect this weekly or daily fee from the guest for each person occupying the property. This is an optional fee and only required if you wish to utilize the community amenities. All the information on the fees and policies is sent after the booking is confirmed. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this and hope to have another chance to impress you.

This is a lovely house that was beautifully decorated and in excellent condition. Overflowing garbage in the garage from previous guests led to fruit flies everywhere and made use of the kitchen during thanksgiving unpleasant and challenging. Not the stay we expected!

This was our first time booking through Vacasa. I spent weeks searching for a place and finally came across this home. It was listed as “ New”. When I called to inquire, the Delaware team confirmed the property must’ve just been listed because they were not familiar with it as a rental. Given this, I believe it’s safe to say that we may be one of the first if not the only “vacation guests” thus far. The home was just like the pictures. It was a very peaceful home. Everyone in the community was very friendly which was refreshing! The amenities are a plus for the home. You can purchase a 3 day pass or a week pass etc depending on the stay. The indoor poor was a saving Grace.

The reasons we don’t rate 5/5 are as follows:

It was frustrating to find the trash filled with so many gnats in the garage. We arrived on a Thursday and was told trash is on a Monday. There were several cases of beer and trash that made the first floor smell through the garage door. Since we pay a cleaning fee, I would not have expected that upon arrival! Fortunately, the Delaware team acted quickly on this. We were told there weren’t any other renters so maybe the owners left the mess but again, the smell was frustrating and gnats simply annoying.

On the brighter side, we did not park in the garage and was glad we didn’t because gnats were everywhere.

Compared to our other rentals in the past, I’d say this home was not “stocked” the way I would have preferred. The wash cloths were limited to say the least. We didn’t have enough. We only had 6 adults and two children(this was well under the amount of guests allowed because they don’t count the kiddos based on their age) there were plenty of sheets and towels but only ONE washcloth per bathroom.

There are plenty of appliances/dishes but the toilet paper etc was scarce. It would be nice to provide basic trash bags, soap, etc This may be a Vacasa thing.

The soaking tub in the room on the first floor seemed unstable. Average weight adult and still seemed unstable. Not really a deal breaker but I’d keep that in mind if you are planning to utilize it.

Check out is at 10. It was never mentioned that a text message will be sent on check out day for you to click a link to verify you are checking out. Some logistics could’ve been done better.

Not major things but should be adjusted for future stays. Otherwise, the home itself was spacious, cozy and peaceful! Loved the screened deck!
