Unbelievable view of the lake. House was well appointed. Open floor plan very bright and airy. Used to stay for a ski trip, only 30 minutes from the mountain. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay at the Cliff House. Everything we could of needed was provided. The view is STUNNING!!!

This place is incredible! We visited for a long weekend bachelorette party and had a group of 8 girls. We were blown away with the views and the size of the place from the moment we walked in - the pictures don’t do it justice. As others mentioned, steps to get down to the water are long (about 200) and very steep. Inconsistency in the build can make it a little scary going down, but just go slow. Once you’re down there, it’s all worth it. Great little private beach with some rocks but they’re the big kind you could sit on. Not all of the windows are functional (can’t be opened) which does mean it can get stuffy and hot on a warm day, but the breeze that comes in makes it tolerable during the day and nice at night! The only suggestion I would make it to overpack on necessities - toilet paper, paper towel, etc. We ran out of the supplied toilet paper (1 roll per 3 bathrooms) by the second night, and were informed that they would not be restocked during our stay. No biggie, just wish I knew the supplies would be minimal before coming to pack accordingly. Communication with host was great, everyone had somewhere to sleep (plenty of room) and check in and check out were seamless. Looking forward to staying here again one day! `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

The views are amazing. The location is perfect for day trips to the bridge and the upper peninsula. Communication from unsalted was great. We saw eagles flying about and enjoyed listening to birds in the woods. The highlight of this property is the view. The inside is pretty basic, regarding amentities. As long as you know this going in, you will be mentally prepared, which we were. The basic house cleaning type of things...bathrooms, beds, lounge furniture are clean. You can feel comfortable to relax and lounge. The beds are extremely comfortable. Note: that awesome looking black leather chair and ottoman in the pics is not in the house. The biggest issues we had were maintenance and deep cleaning issues. There are dead bugs and cobwebs all over the window sills, entry doors and some corners within the house. Opening windows at this rental is needed for airflow and it’s amazing to hear the crashing of the waves. However, it was disappointing to see all the dead bugs and cobwebs. Also, not all windows work to open and some that open don’t have screens. The living room doesn’t have any functioning windows so the space with the TV is quite stuffy. Down stairs door does not open to the large deck, you have to climb out one of the non-screened larger windows. There are other minor maintenance issues that I emailed Unsalted about that they said they would discuss with the property manager and the owners. Overall, we really liked the house. We just felt that we would have been prepared for these issues at a rental that was a fraction of this cost. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Nice amazing place with amazing views…Air conditioning would be nice addition to the property especially for summer. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Great and comfortable house with a magnificent view of Lake Michigan, definitely will re-visit again! `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
. Sep 2021
The house offers a spectacular location with stunning views and beach. The house was clean and comfortable. However, the windows were filled with bugs and dirt from the trees which made it difficult to enjoy the views from the kitchen/sitting area. I am very familiar with the amount of bugs that lake homes attract, but if you are renting and advertising a home for the views, you may want to at least wipe down the windows before new renters come in. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

This place is amazing. The stairs are quite a hike but totally worth it for the views and private water. The only downside is NO air conditioning which made it difficult to enjoy that house in awe. Regardless, there were fans provided that helped a little. I do recommend going when it`s not scorching hot outside! `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

We had a 9 people staying and there was enough room for all of us. It was nice to have access to the water. The steps are good exercise. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

We loved staying at Claudia`s Cliff House, it was better than home away from home. Beautiful view of northern part of Lake Michigan, across Beaver Island. Stunning sunsets, view of wild life (we saw a bald eagle go fishing!), close to natural preserves for easy walks, or going to the lake for more adventurous terrain during winter. Only 20 minutes from the ski area Nub`s Nob, and many quaint little towns along M-119, from Harbor Springs to Wilderness State Park. After stocking up with whole foods at the local grocery store in town, Claudia`s home had everything we needed as to kitchen utensils, to make our own food after a day`s play skiing or just enjoying the surrounding area. The open concept of the house allowed us to have a view of the lake while eating breakfast or dinner. The house is spacious, in the evening the adults could have a conversation sitting around the fireplace sipping wine for the evening, while the kiddos were on the opposite corner of the house (still in view) playing board games. The house is beautifully decorated, top to bottom windows allowing to catch a view of the lake no matter where you stood. Will definitely come back, next time in the summer or fall to enjoy the beautiful beach or fall colors. Thank you Claudia!!! We loved your home! `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Had a great time. Great setting. Easy access to great hiking. Loved the woodburing fireplace. Very clean. Only downside is that it is a little more worn than the pictures suggest. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Amazing stay, was able to see eagles and wildlife through out the stay. Besides the cleanliness of the place definitely recommend, and will be coming back. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

This property has views that cannot be matched. You can sit and watch the lake roll in for hours. It is located along M119 and the Tunnel of Trees. An amazing place to walk, jog or drive. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
. Sep 2020
The Cliff House has an outstanding location perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Michigan along the Tunnel of Trees. The house itself is `tired` but serviceable. `Tired` as in marked and gouged walls, spotty/old carpeting, windows (those that open) that are beginning to fall apart. The house is set up and styled like a Florida beach house (open, airy, lots of windows) and during the summers for multiple couples and/or kids would be a good place. There is now a microwave (as of late September/early October). The house was basically pretty well stocked for our stay (2 couples, 3 nights). `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
. Sep 2020
The views are unbelievable and the house is amazing! It’s a short drive to Harbor Springs downtown. There was an entire floor for the kids and enough space for 12 of us. There is no microwave so that was a bit inconvenient. But the house had all the other amenities, including excellent WiFi. There was even a super fast charging station for multiple phones and devices. There is a big smart tv too. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.` The steps leading to the beach are very steep (it’s about 200 steps) but the kids had a great time in the private beach. The beach is mostly rocky but if you walk a few feet, it’s sandy and we had a great time playing in the water. Overall I highly recommended this place and we will definitely come back. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
. Aug 2020
This house was amazing and worth the price!!! A few people commented on the beach being rocky, first of all, the rocks are smooth and small and if they had walked maybe 2 feet into the water they would have noticed a sand beach. My friends and I had a great time and bonded forever!! One tip: there is no microwave! `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
. Aug 2020
Lovely place but we packed comprehensively based on other reviews that amenities were sparse. It got really hot inside and out in the late afternoons (no shade or sun protection), and there is no microwave. The decor is very nice, though, and the views are great. Opening all the windows allowed for a breeze to pass through in the evenings. The beach is very rocky, so if you hope to swim, bring water shoes or be prepared to find a public beach. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Driving up to the property, it appears very modest and very traditional. The home has a stone fireplace/chimney and stone on the front.Walking through the front door is a totally different experience. It has the real WOW factor, once you see Lake Michigan and the beautiful, contemporary interior of this clean, SPOTLESS home! This place was awesome, and has plenty of room for a large group. We only had two couples, so if felt like we needed a few more people to help us enjoy this super vacation home!Eagles greeted us on two of the three days! An immature eagle and one adult. One morning we were sitting enjoying coffee and the adult flew within 10 feet of the wall of windows! Their nest was spotted as you walk down the steps to the beach (approximately 200 steps to the beach). Great exercise for those adventurous vacationers. If you like a hint of remoteness, but all the conveniences of home, this is the place for you!The beds were extremely comfortable; new Casper foam mattresses! What a treat! We`re planning to replace our bed at home and are seriously considering the exact same mattress.I`m an architect, and I look at construction detailing, final painting issues, etc. This house was a gem in terms interior painting, tile work, millwork, etc. We couldn`t find a flaw inside this home. Which is saying a lot! The windows were perfectly clean, inside and out! What a treat, especially with the wildlife and the beautiful natural site! Sunsets were out of this world, as you have a huge horizon line to capture the full view, unobstructed and about 200 feet above the shoreline. We will be scheduling a return stay, for sure!!! Loved our stay!PS Unsalted Vacations, you have really raised the bar for vacation properties! You supplied plenty of accessories, toiletries, and an ultra-spotless home! You should be congratulated on this fantastic property! THANK YOU `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

PROs: This house is in a breathtaking location, the views and the windows are better in person then they look in the pictures. Great for a larger family gathering. CONs: The house does not come stocked with ANYTHING. they don`t give you enough toilet paper to last 3 nights. When you pay a premium to stay at a luxury house, toilet paper, paper towels should be included. This was my first poor experience with hospitality when staying at an AirBnB. They allow pets in this house and upon arrival (with no pets) - the house was not clean. Dog hair everywhere; the top bunk beds were covered in hair - clearly sheets hadn`t been changed. Our bathroom trashcans hadnt been emptied - there was hair in our bathroom. The $350 cleaning fee was a joke. If you have pet allergies, do not stay in this house. The views and the sunsets are magical, however due to rising water there is very little beach and the walk down to the beach is treacherous. Very steep stairs, the railings are not installed, there poison ivy on the stairs and throughout the property. Not an ideal location with children. Harbor springs is a beautiful city but this house is quite remote, with not a lot nearby. Our family brought lots of food to cook, but the kitchen had NOTHING. No salt n pepper, no paper towels. So come prepared and bring EVERYTHING you`d need to cook a meal. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

We spent the 4th of July weekend. It was magical. The Sunset view was unforgettable. The first day was a bit hot, but once we opened the window got much better. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Absolutely spectacular house with stunning panoramic view of Lake Michigan and sunsets. We enjoyed the private beach, having fires in the fireplace and having a glass of wine while watching the sunset. The Herman Miller lounge chairs and multiple sitting areas around the house makes this a fantastic airbnb that is a rare find. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

We loved staying at the cliff house. The view is spectacular from every single room. We had a large group of people, so the big space the house offered was just great. The kitchen was missing microwave and the coffee maker didn’t work but otherwise great. We made it down to the beach and it was just beautiful view. I found out on my way back up ( 200 steps), what should be my New Year resolution. It was a lot of steps. The stairs railing is still broken, so we just had to be more careful going down because of the icy steps. We made a ski trip to Boyne Highland. It is around 30 -35 minutes away from the house. I would definitely recommend this home to everyone. Thank you to the owner for sharing their beautiful home with us. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Property located in a beautiful location. Picture tells truth. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.` House is very stylish with nice mid century furnitures. You don’t see many real Herman Miller lounge chair in a Airbnb properties. Host is also very responsive. It was the best Airbnb experience.

What an amazing property with some of the most spectacular views I`ve ever seen. We witnessed birds fishing, storm fronts roll in and out, amazing sunsets and more shades of blue on the water than we knew existed. We`d come back in a heartbeat! With much to do and explore in Harbor Springs, some of our favorites were: Obviously the Tunnel of Trees, Gnome Hunt at Pond Hill Farm, Thorne Swift Nature Preserve and Gurney`s sub sandwiches. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
. May 2019
Everythig about this home is designed to maximize western exposure and great lake/sunset views. Be aware there were some limitations- like walking 200 stairs to get to a very small, rocky beach. Wouldn`t recommend it if your goal is to cook alot as the refrigerator is closer to the bedroom than it is to the kitchen and there was no toaster or microwave. Last word of caution: TV and internet were very spotty. Tried once and never got reception. All that said, it`s a great location with LOTS of space. Would recommend- just understand what you`re signed up for! `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

We had a fantastic experience at this beautiful, secluded property over Memorial Day weekend. The views were breathtaking, the amenities lovely, and the experience peaceful and relaxed. The kids loved the large shared bedroom on the lower level, as they took over that space and made it their own, while the adults gathered on the two upper levels to chat. The wraparound views of the lake were second-to-none, and provided a blissful backdrop to our vacation. The well-stocked kitchen had everything we needed, and the attention to detail in the property`s recent renovation really showed. We`d come back in a heartbeat. Thank you! `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`

Overall we had a wonderful stay. The house is beautifully situated and was comfortable for the 6 of us. However, it did lack some basic amenities, such as salt and pepper, sufficient paper and a working fire place. `This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.`
