We had a great experience staying at this chalet. It is equipped with all the necessities, and very warm with the wood pellet fireplace. Both beds are comfortable and it is in pristine condition and cleanliness. The neighborhood is very quiet and there are tons of hiking opportunities around the property and in the area. We saw many wild animals in the Cle Elum area and the forests and trails are gorgeous. Highly recommended ++++

My wife and I went to Big Creek Chalet for a two-night retreat from the noise. We were looking for a place that felt far away but had all the modern amenities and fun things to do during the day. This place was minutes off I-90, but by the time we got back to the cabin the road noise completely disappeared and we hardly saw another building from the porch. We really felt tucked away.

Inside the cabin is small, nicely decorated and super cozy. It felt old-timey but updated - it definitely had a modern touch but kept the little cabin feel my wife and I were looking for.

The first night it snowed maybe 5 inches, but the driveway off Nelson-Siding Road is flat so no issues there. That night we stayed in, grilled, played board games and read by the pellet stove. The next morning we took a short drive over to Suncadia for breakfast and coffee and walked around the golf course. Then we went over to Cle Elum Lake and walked around the snowy beach before heading back and relaxing. That night we went out to Roslyn (awesome little town) and had drinks at The Brick (highly recommend) and got take-out at Village Pizza (also highly recommend). We ate at the cabin and watched the snow fall from the window before turning in.

The property, while tucked away in the woods, felt safe and easy to get to. The place had all the amenities we needed - nice, updated bathroom; big, comfy bed in a loft; a grill, stove, sink, microwave, big fridge, etc.; comfy couch and chairs with a kitchen table; TV; plenty of kitchen supplies and board games; tons of comfy blankets. It also had a new heater/AC but we mostly used the pellet stove and kept as warm as we wanted to be.

The only critique was my wife needed a hair dryer...

All in all, this is exactly what we wanted and we're looking forward to getting back. I think our next trip we'll stay a long weekend and hit the slopes at the Summit of Snoqualmie.
