Welcome to Rocky River Retreat where the sound of the flowing Colorado River and the rustling of the trees will be your background music for as long as you choose to stay. The cabin has everything thoughtfully chosen for your comfort and enjoyment. You will find each bedroom with plush beds, comfortable furniture, and large closets.
The downstairs bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The well-equipped kitchen comes complete with extra amenities like an air fryer, toaster oven, blender, and bar stools along the island.
The upstairs office area has a desk, monitor, and office chair for working nomads, plus a comfortable sofa with windows that bring in lots of natural light. In one large bedroom, you’ll have a corner with a comfy reclining chair along with a library of books for novel enthusiasts. The other bedroom is also very roomy and has a great view of the incredible night stars out the window. The bathroom upstairs is a Hollywood bathroom, with each room having its own vanity/sink area and large walk-in closets. The cozy upstairs loft area with two beds overlooks the kitchen and dining room.
Two outdoor seating areas provide comfortable seating, a picnic table, and a gas grill within eye and ear-shot of the river. The heated garage has been converted into a playroom with windows that offer natural light to enjoy your time while playing on the foosball or ping-pong tables. Extra perks include board/card games and high-speed WiFi.
Grand Lake is the Snowmobile Capital of Colorado, providing snowmobilers with over 300 miles of trails of which 150 are groomed. Town streets are intentionally left with snowpack so riders can use their snowmobiles around town and access trails right from the cabin. Summer visitors can unwind with a round of golf at one of several award-winning golf courses.
From our large windows, the scenery is beautiful and serene, where you can see osprey, hawks, and eagles swoop down to the river or rest on one of the many treetops. And where the white pelicans make their morning flyover, circling each day during the summer, then returning to Pine Beach just across the road.
There you will find a tranquil place within a five-minute walk to Pine Beach, at the mouth of the Colorado River and the shore of Shadow Mountain Lake in the Arapaho National Recreation Area. There are wonderful views of the islands and Rocky Mountain National Park from there!
