Recent Bear Lake vacation rental reviews

Size of the house is great, was perfect for the 7 couples we had. The kids loved the bouncy house and theatre room, lots to entertain. Unfortunately, the kitchen is very sparsely stocked and cooking for a large group is difficult. We brought some of our own pans and utensils and it’s a good thing we did. We also had issues with dead batteries in remotes and connecting TVs but we got passed those issues. It’s a nice house, but I’d be prepared with things you know you need for cooking and storage of food. We got a great deal on the price so I rated 4/5 stars.

We were a little concerned with past reviews on cleanliness. When we arrived the house was clean. Towels and bedding were fresh. The kitchen is well stocked with all the comforts of home. The weather wasn’t great, but there were tons of DVDs to entertain us. There was a basket with dog dishes and bags for picking up after your pet. That was a nice touch. The only minor negative thing is the couch had an odd odor, I wished I’d had some febreeze. The place was great, we would stay there again.

The Big Blue is the he best vacation home we could have ever desired in the Bear Lake area. It's hard to figure out where to start, but the obvious would be the breathtaking views from the balcony, 180 degrees of the Caribbean of the Rockies. The deck is perfect for morning coffee and yoga, with plenty of cushy outdoor seating for all. The home is quiet, peaceful and appointed very well. Kitchen has everything you need, it all appears brand new. Not a speck of dust anywhere in the home. Spotlessly clean, plenty of fresh towels and even beach towels are provided. The bedrooms are spacious and quiet and beds are super comfortable. The home is recently built and fully furnished with everything one could desire. Two different lounge areas, and two master suites, this home was designed with two families in mind. Our kids LOVED the twin sets of huge bunk beds in the kids room. Super cozy for them. It's out of the way enough to be tranquil, yet a few minutes to a Raspberry shake and all the amenities of Bear Lake. We will absolutely return and can't say enough about this property. It's magic!!

Where is Bear Lake?

Due north and east of the Great Salt Lake, the smaller (but magnificent) Bear Lake is split in half by the border of Utah and Idaho. At about 125 miles from Salt Lake City, it’s a convenient weekend getaway for many Utahns. Since the lake’s shore extends into Idaho, our Bear Lake vacation rentals and cabins might be in either state.

Things to do in Bear Lake

If you’re here for the lake, rent a boat and put it in the water at First Point boat ramp to get the aquatic fun started. Renting a four-wheeler is another exciting way to enjoy the beautiful Bear Lake scenery. Garden City, the Utah town on the lake’s shore, boasts a lovely bike trail, fishing pond, town center, and more. The area is known for its raspberries, and if you’re lucky enough to visit during the first week of August, you’ll get to enjoy the annual Raspberry Days festival. Winter visitors can easily access the ski slopes at Beaver Mountain, just 14 miles west.

The natural beauty of Bear Lake is truly stunning, and the surrounding area offers plenty of rentals to suit every visitor’s taste. Take your pick of our Bear Lake cabin rentals, and let the adventure begin.
