The condo itself was great — clean, comfortable, quiet, and in an ideal location. We were very happy with the unit and it worked well for our stay in Poipu. Unfortunately, we were not informed in advance that the kids pool and hot tub were under construction during our stay. While the main pool remained open, the constant construction re the hot tub noise made it difficult to enjoy the pool area, which was disappointing since this is one of the main amenities when booking a vacation property. We contacted the property management during our stay to ask about some type of reimbursement for the inconvenience. They replied with ‘we’ve forwarded to our local team who will reply soon’ but we never received any follow-up, which was frustrating. We also reached out on our second day because the safe in the unit would not open. Again, the same canned reply ‘we have forwarded to our local team yadda yadda yadda.’ Never heard from anyone ever. What a pathetic property management company. The condo itself is very nice, but the lack of transparency about the construction and zero response for the safe was disappointing. We will stay at Pili Mai again (this was our third time), but will absolutely not book through Vacasa! They should change their name too, Vacant, as that was the response and care we received - empty.
