Port Royal Village Vacation Rentals | Hilton Head Island, SC

This house was very cute and a great layout for my family of four and my parents. We had a nice stay and the inside of the house was very clean upon arrival. The Golf cart was awesome and as of Sept 2024, had an updated sticker. The golf cart information on the listing is a little vague and I was relieved to see how it actually worked. When the golf cart is registered, you can drive it to Islanders Beach parking and park right up front by the board walk. I think there were 7 spaces total and you can park for free as long as one is available. We used our personal vehicle and the golf cart to travel to the beach each day just because of all our beach stuff. Parking can be purchased at the meter with quarters (.25 gets you 15 minutes). All non-metered parking is for residents only. We visited over labor day weekend and only had trouble parking the day before and day of Labor Day, so go early and grab a spot on busy weeks! Walking to the beach seemed a little cumbersome because you have to wind your way through the different parking lots back to the front entrance. However, we discovered after the second day of a little cut through the makes the trip a lot shorter, especially for walking with kids. So if you walk, don’t walk all the way to the entrance! There is a nice path that cuts through and cuts the steps in half. We had a major issue upon arrival that the Vacasa team took care of to the best of their ability. The property manager was very kind when he reached out to speak with us. Overall, we had a nice stay. We did feel like we had to figure out things for ourselves in the beginning, but once we got our bearings, we had a great time.
