Lakefront vacation rentals in Canyon Lake

Perfect time!

We loved the views, the amenities, the wildlife, among many other things! It was a perfect place to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our children and grandchildren! Thank you!

The house has a beautiful view overlooking the lake. The area is quiet and relaxing. It's a perfect getaway from the city. Property is spacious and has everything you could ask for in a rental house. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at this property.

Overall, the home was a nice place. It’s old…but well maintained overall. The air hockey table didn’t work because the electrical cord has been damaged…but the kids still had a blast with it. The kids had a great time and overall, it’s a beautiful house…old vibes to it, but good. The problem here though is that the website shows pictures of the property where you have true lake access. It looks wonderful. But when you get there, Canyon Lake is SO LOW that you do NOT have access to the lake anymore at this property. In fact, you really can’t get access to it at all….unless you are willing to climb down rocks to get to the low levels of the lake….and with young kids, this ain’t happening. There is no clear trail or steps to get down to the water to compensate for the low water levels. Perhaps if they put in a clean trail or steps to get to the lower levels of the lake, then guests would be happier? But, if you are simply looking for a getaway with amazing views of the lake and have access to a 3-story home (basement, ground floor, 2nd floor) with nice TVs and nice showers and spacious environment to just gather with friends and family and talk and just BE together, this home is perfect! If you are looking for a place to just be out on their beautiful decks and play games with friends and family and talk….or have a nice l it fire pit (which we loved doing), then this is a wonderful place for just that! It’s a cozy neighborhood, quiet, peaceful, amazing view. Just have to be sure your goals for the vacation trip are what this place can offer. Overall, thank you for this beautiful home. We know the low levels of the lake isn’t something one can control. But to the vacationer, if the lake thing is what you are wanting, be sure to do some research. If you just want to relax with a large group of people and chill out together, this is a wonderful spot for that.
