Situated on North Grape Creek and only 15 miles from downtown Fredericksburg, you'll have the best of both worlds. (Please note that due to this home's somewhat remote location, cell phone service can be spotty.) When you want to stick close to home, enjoy the quiet life and do some biking, birding, or fishing. Explore the surrounding wine country, visit Wildflowers Seed Farm, and take in the area's parks: Enchanted Rock, LBJ, Old Tunnel, and National Monument.
Take a day trip to Fredericksburg for shopping and dining, as well as a visit to Nimitz Museum and Hamilton Pool. Lady Bird Johnson, Pedernales Falls, and Blanco River State Parks are excellent ways to witness the natural beauty of Fredericksburg. Other possibilities for day-long excursions include Kerrville (40 miles), Marble Falls (44 miles), Austin (74 miles), and San Antonio (85 miles).
There's an obvious warmth to this home's interior with its tile floors, rustic limestone walls, and olive-green accents throughout. Beat the Texas heat in the summer with the central AC, and easily manage your group's laundry with the in-house washer/dryer.
When it's time to relax, soak in the private hot tub, play some horse shoes or board games from the selection for both kids and adults, use the free WiFi to check for directions to nearby attractions, or watch a movie on the flatscreen TV, equipped with a DVD player and Netflix streaming. Make delicious meals on the gas grill out on the patio, and relax together as the sun sets and the shimmering Milky Way becomes visible on clear nights. We loved everything about this house! It was so comfortable & we loved the hot tub! We can’t wait to visit again!
We all had a wonderful time . Had the country feel but loved that downtown was a short drive away . We had everything we needed in the home.
Over a 30 year period, this is my 4th time to visit this delightful home. This is my first time since the remodel and since Vacasa took over the management of the property. This home has always been charming, secluded, peaceful and full of a sense of warmth, love, family. I was worried that somehow it might lose that in the transition. My fears were totally baseless. If anything, it is more charming and full of charm than ever! The sense of love and of family events and character shines through! It is so relaxing and comfortable that the 6 of us who met up there, never felt the need to go into town. Not that Fredericksburg is not a lovely town with lots of great things to do. It just that we so much enjoyed sitting by the fire pit, biking, hiking, photographing, cooking and just generally communing with each other that we did not want to leave. All of us were in need of some relaxing, restorative time away from the hustle and bustle of the city and our 3 days together at LoVeta's Inn more than delivered. Vacasa did a wonderful job of cleaning the place for our arrival and making sure that all the amenities are there from thick towels, shampoo, conditioners, etc in bath, to pots, pans, utensils, staples in the kitchen to fresh water in hot tub and a fresh tank of propane for the fire pit that allowed us to enjoy cocktails and each other under the beautiful Hill Country stars. We absolutely love this place and will be back for repeat visits as we establish our own new traditions.
We loved our time at this home. It is quiet and peaceful, and though it is very rustic, it was charming, clean, and comfortable. Close enough to town to enjoy some shopping or pick up a few items and far enough away to feel as though you’ve truly gotten away from it all. We enjoyed the many yard games, Firepit, and hot tub. Wish we could have stayed longer. There are many stairs throughout the house, so depending on age of kids you might want to keep that in mind.
This was the perfect house for our a slice of rural Fredericksburg.
Loved it! The old german country charm, the cozy beds, abundance of stars, shopping and dining in Fredericksburg. Couldn't have asked for a better get away. Thank you so much for sharing your home.
This was such a wonderful place, we didn't want to leave. We loved the house and all the antiques inside. Such a beautiful and historical house. Very roomy and the grounds were fantastic too. We would love to plan a return visit at some time.
Loved the solitude of the property as well as the historic home.
We really enjoyed out stay at Loveta’s Inn... it’s a beautiful, peaceful place. Next time we visit Fredericksburg we will definitely stay there again! Thank you!
The whole package! Will defenitly rent again
I was here for a 40th birthday party and there were 10 of us. At first, we thought it was for sure haunted with the pick up truck on the side and the barn falling apart, but then we went inside and found the most adorable home I've ever seen! The barn and pickup truck (and creepy outhouse) added the perfect touches to a really fun girls weekend. I definitely want to go back!
Great location! LoVeta’s is centrally located to Fredericksburg and wineries in the surrounding cities. The house and property provided ample room for the group both in and outdoors.
We had a great time during our stay at LoVeta’s this weekend. The home was well appointed and comfortable. There were seven ladies who thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is well-kept and we were lucky to see deer while drinking our morning coffee.
Size if the bedrooms and then the licatiin and the wildlife we so. Even saw an albino shunk and saw a deer havw hwr baby.
Traveled with some friends to Fredericksburg for a weekend touring wineries and we all thouroughly enjoyed the house and the surrounding property. The pictures do not do the house justice- it is so nicely furnished and the beds are incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and the outdoor seating and swings, and the kitchen was well stocked and perfect for cooking a meal together. We would definitely stay here again.
Came to town with a group of 10 girls - the house was PERFECT!! None of us wanted to leave. So serene and peaceful! Already looking for another excuse to book it!!
Wonderful old farmhouse in a very rural setting that is perfect for groups with kids who love the outdoors. The days were spent exploring the areas parks, museums and shops and the evenings were equally busy with croquet, horseshoes and board games. I subtracted a star for the lack of satellite TV - March madness. We had a wonderful stay.
We loved our weekend here. We were two families with 5 kids, 4 adults and a dog - everyone LOVED the house and the outdoor areas. The house is very spacious so loads of room for everyone. Bed rooms super are comfortable and house overall very charming. Kids spent most of the time outside and adults loved the outside BBQ in the evening.
Make sure to go early to the Enchanted Rock as the park gets full VERY early or go later in the afternoon.
Everything was so great and we decided we will be staying there when our family meets again.
If smell is fixed is a perfect family retreat
We had 12 people stay in this lovely home! The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. It was a great place for a large crowd!
A beautiful place that has been renovated to very high standards. It had everything we needed and loads of games for the kids to play with, although they didn’t need much as they spent most of their time playing in the vast yard. Loved everything about the place. It’s full of charms and was perfectly sized for our party (6 adults and 4 kids).
Can't wait to go back, felt like I spent the weekend in a little piece of history!!! Indescribable property!!
The location is remote and not a place for girls alone. The cell phone service and internet does not work. The house was built back in the 1800 and this true because there is no handicap accessible with narrow dark stairs to upstairs bedrooms. The house is for 12 people, but the living room only has one comfortable couch. The one good thing I can say about place it has really linens and good beds.
We are sorry to see any of these things came as a surprise to this guest. The home is not advertised as being handicapped or elderly accessible. We do note in the home's description that the home sits on five acres, and the pictures of the exterior show the home does not have any near neighbors. It's a beautiful view with plenty of space and privacy. We also note that cell service is spotty due to the remote location, but it's an easy drive to Fredericksburg. The pictures also show there are several chairs along with the couch for seating in the living room. We are very sorry to see this guest was dissatisfied as this is such a unique experience.
Loveta Inn is the perfect getaway! It has the feel that you are miles away from everything but in fact is only minutes away to Fredericksburg. The beds were amazingly comfortable and the sitting area outback was perfect to sit back and relax and truly take in the beautiful Milky Way! We will definitely be back!
