We loved the solitude this house provided. While it is roughly a 10-minute drive to Sunriver Village, with shopping & eateries, the riverfront location offers a gorgeous spot to unwind without the hustle, bustle, and car and bike traffic in the heart of Sunriver. It is 45-50 minutes to the airport, and 20+ minutes (depending on traffic to downtown Bend). The Sunriver/Bend area has so many amazing hikes, parks, river adventures, and fishing that all require driving; it is just the nature of the beast no matter where you stay.
The house has three large bedrooms each with own bath, plus an additional 3/4 bath on the main level. The nicely updated kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, and serving/prep bowls. Some vacation rentals have a fair amount of spices, oils, foil, etc., and this had the very basics, so I'd bring what you need. There are no water toys available (paddle board, kayak, etc.), so you'll need to bring your own, but note that the river current is rather swift (at least the first week of July) and you'll need a ride back home if you do venture into the water. Also, there weren't any games or puzzles, and we had a few rainy nights, so we bought and left some; I hope you enjoy them! There is a fun selection of books in the house, not current fiction, but the coffee table sort of books that are enjoyable to read and page through. We plan on renting this house again next year, so I'd say we liked it.

Our family just got back from a week at this beautiful home. Only thing I can say is I wish we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend! Try floating from big river campground to the house, about an hour.

The home was spacious, very clean, quiet area with a great view! Loved the layout of the home. If I had one negative it would be the water and the smell of sulphur taking a shower or using water from the sink. A filtration system would help that. Other than that a very nice home!
Hi John, we’re so pleased that you loved the home’s ample space and wonderful views. The owners do have a water filtration system and, with the filters changed, the odor is now gone. We hope you will come visit us again. Thank you.

The location is amazing but it’s not in Sunriver. The quiet and river frontage were welcome but we missed the walking paths and Sunriver amenities. There was a nice outdoor fire pit that we used in lieu of the indoor wood burning fireplace that was not working well.
The two major drawbacks of the house itself were the wood burning fireplace which does not draw well and twice filled the house with smoke despite us checking, rechecking and following all of the included instructions. My husband looked up the flue and could see it was filled with creosote. That and poor fireplace design led to some major disappointment for our indoor evening fires.
The second major issue was the water. It smelled and tasted of very strong sulfur. We ended up buying drinking water but we smelled of sulfur after our showers. Yuck. They need to get a water system clean out or do something with the well to minimize this strong odor.
Overall we would probably stay here again but would double check to make sure the water system had been cleaned up.

Loved this beautiful home for a quick weekend getaway with friends. The home was in great condition, clean, and appeared exactly as pictured. It is situated with the kitchen and living room facing east, looking out right over the river, which made for breathtaking sunrises. We enjoyed the hot tub, luxurious showers in each bathroom, and the escape from city noise. I have zero complaints :) would love to book again! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

This comfortable, well-appointed home sits on the banks of the Deschutes River. It is off the beaten path, and quiet. If you just need to let your hair down for a little while, this is your spot.

We had a very pleasant week here. It is right on the Deschutes River and has a lot of space. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. It isn't set up for more than six guests (just three beds). The dining room table seats 6. There are excellent views from the inside. The dock would be an excellent place to get in the water with your kayak. We brought extra camping chairs to use down by the river. The kitchen is great, well equipped. Quite a nice place, I would recommend it!

The setting is absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed watching the wildlife on this private river estate. Best house we have rented to date and the Vacasa management was excellent in taking care of our every need.
