Everything about the house was great. It had everything from out door grill, fishing pole, boogie board and sand toys for the kids. The house was clean and only couple minute walking distance to the beach with outside shower. Only downside was there was 10 dollar fee per person to use the pool which was not disclosed and when I sent questions few times, i never received any response.
Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, Seungho! We're delighted to know that you enjoyed all the amenities available at this stunning ocean and lagoon view home. We apologize if you were not properly informed of costs for additional amenities at the Pointe West Beach Club. Please note, wristbands for the beach club are $10 per person for everyone four years old and up, and last throughout your entire stay. We look forward to hosting you again!

My family and I had the best Labor Day weekend! The house was beautiful and super close to the beach(1minute) walk.

Very large and well-equipped house with plenty of room for several families. This is a 3 1/2 bath (see below). We were happy to see that the house was clean and stocked very well with plenty of towels (including Vacasa beach towels), kitchen items, and beach toys and chairs. I had emailed prior to the trip to ask what beach items were there for borrowing and was told there were no items but discovered a huge storage area full of items that renters can borrow. The propane tank was empty so we bought more. The beds were very comfortable and that is a big plus. FYI on a few things: the 5th bedroom is the highest upstairs floor and is like a loft but very private. The room was sweltering hot when we arrived at 4 pm and the standing fan in the room was very weak. We found another standing fan in a bedroom but it didn’t work. The dehumidifier in that room was full of water so didn’t work until we checked it and emptied the reservoir. After a few hours, we realized that the central a/c vents were on the walls near the floor and furniture was pushed up against the two vents and both vents were completely closed. It took several hours for the room to cool and we were glad we didn’t end up having to go get some blow up mattresses to put people in the cooler areas of the house.
The front outdoor stairs have caution tape on the broken railings and wood is also rotting on the steps. We felt the steps were too dangerous to use. I reported all of this to Vacasa who said they’d relay to the local property manager. Re. bathrooms: On one floor, the King and Queen bedroom share a bathroom and the bunk bed room has its own bathroom inside the room. On floor where master BR is, master bathroom is en suite and there’s also a half bath by kitchen so the house is a 3 1/2 bath and not a 4.
We are happy that you enjoyed your stay! Thank you so much for this detailed feedback, it really helps us improve for our future guests. We apologize that the furniture was moved against the AC vents. It was moved around while the home was being cleaned, and should have been moved back before you checked in. We have discussed the issue with our local staff about the outdoor stairs, and they have ensured us that they are safe. There is also a door to get into the home on the ground level if guests did not feel comfortable with the stairs, however, they are safe.

I have had the best luck in the past renting through VRBO type services, this is the first review I have ever written warning people of a rental. We booked this Sunkissed house because it looked amazing in the images and it accommodated our large party of 12 adults. We felt ok spending more than usual ($6300 for 6 nights) because we wanted a higher end beach house. We were very disappointed with it. The main stairs at the entry had caution tape and were detached from the base (looking bad and making it unsafe). The light fixtures were uncovered on the patio (maybe we rented mid paint-job?). The screens were busted on the screened in porch. The rooms that had cable tv had cable and a tv, but were not attached and would not attach because they did not fit. The loft room at the top of the house had no ac. There were no vents in the room so completely impossible to have ac in this room. We had 3 adults sleeping in here so it was uncomfortable. The free wifi was spotty, it would work sometimes and then it would stop. Finally, the management company forgot to register the house as rented so we had to jump through hoops to get our wrist bands to go to the pool. These complaints may seem like first world problems, but my real problem was twofold -1. the price we paid was too high for this particular house, and 2. the property managements "guest satisfaction team" handling of our issues was sub-par. This house is big and has lots of beds, but not worth the price. I tried working with the property management company on our issues but they did not believe me even though I sent them pictures.
Thank you for your review, Kathrine. We apologize for the issues you experienced during your stay, or if our service standard was not met. We are happy to report that updates to this home have been completed to include the stairs, light fixtures, screen repair, the wifi, and cable are working properly, and a portable a/c has been added to the loft room. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Six adults and six kids spread out easily. Kitchen, washer-dryer, all amenities worked fine. In the middle of some porch step replacements which knocks out a parking spot.

Some of the wonderful things we did included beach walks, boogie boards, swimming, crafts, miniature golf, the lazy river and sand castles. We discovered hermit crabs, new games, fish jumping out of the ocean and enjoyed many family moments. Thanks for sharing your home and another great week in Galveston. This is our third year...must be a tradition! We LOVE FAMILY!!!
