My new husband and I loved this little house! It was super cozy and comfortable for our week in Vermont. We love the open concept and loved cooking in the kitchen together. The bed was super comfortable also. It was in a great location close to a lot of different attractions. We were sad to leave but we had a great trip at this house. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

The home itself was beautiful. Everything was modern and there was plenty of space for the two of us. Also, it was only 1.8 miles from downtown Stowe, so great for a short jaunt to town. With that being said, there were only a few things that I would change if I were the innkeepers. First, the main bedroom had no curtain over the bed. I would guess they were going for an open and bright look. However, on vacation all we wanted to do was sleep in. That was impossible to do with the light coming in at 7am each morning. It was so frustrating that the last two nights there my husband and I went and slept in the room with the twin beds and curtains just so we could get a good night’s sleep and sleep in past 7:00. Secondly, the heat. Watch the thermostat. Someone has set it so that it drops to 50 degrees automatically each night. I understand when the house is empty, you would want to keep the temperature down and save costs. However, as a guest, we were getting cold and having to get up in the middle of the night to adjust the temperature back up again. Thirdly, the numbers on the mailbox were impossible to read. They do have numbers on the house. However, with the privacy fence out front and being dark at 7pm when we arrived, the numbers on the mailbox were all we had to go on. It took a good 10 minutes of driving in and out of different driveways until we were able to guess the correct one. It would be really helpful is new numbers were placed on the mailbox. With that being said, we did enjoy our stay in Stowe and would recommend it to others with these few little updates.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Heidi! We are adding shades to the master bedroom windows and replacing the numbers on the mailbox. Your feedback is valuable, and we greatly appreciate you sharing it with us. We hope to see you again!

Our stay at the Cozy Stowe Cabin was amazing! Loved the kitchen, gave us an opportunity to bake a delicious New England cake! Hope to come back soon!

Loved the entire house. The only 2 issues this house has is the 2 steps on each side of the master bedroom are a hazard for an injury waiting to happen and the mustiness and/or mold issue would be a problem for someone with allergies. We had to open windows and light candles to get some of the smell out. But honestly I really LOVED the cottage that I am already considering renting it again.
Manager response:
We are so delighted you loved the home! The steps are necessary due to the height of the bed, and we do not feel they are a hazard. We inspected the home for any possible mold and did not locate any. We will air the house out to remove any unpleasant musty smells. Thank you!

This house is on a busy street but does have a fence in front to block from the main road. The front porch could use some work but the inside looks recently renovated. My biggest issue with this home was the lack of AC. They list this house as having AC which is not totally true. There is 1 window AC unit....in the kitchen. This made sleeping very uncomfortable - there were no fans our anything for the bedrooms. Another thing to note, if you have more than 1 person staying here - space out your showers. We had 4 people trying to shower to prepare for an event and the shower did not drain well forcing us to shower in standing water in the tub. Overall it was a good experience just a few things that more attention could be paid to.

My now fiancé and I had such a great little get away here! Such a perfect cozy cottage! The kitchen was fully equipped so we were able to cook meals the days we were there. Would definitely come again and my boyfriend proposed in the backyard with a fire going which was perfect! The views of the mountains are absolutely beautiful too!!!
