Elegant downtown home w/ roof deck - walk everywhere!

Sleek, modern, and full of artful style, this beautifully decorated home offers an unbeatable location right in the heart of Provincetown. Whether you choose to spend your days whale-watching or lounging on the beach, you'll come home to an elegantly furnished living space and a rooftop deck where you can soak in the sunshine, sip cocktails, and admire the view of the neighborhood.

What's nearby:
This polished home sits in the very center of Provincetown, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, and art galleries. While you're in town, you can join a whale-watching expedition from Provincetown Harbor, charter a fishing boat for a fun-filled day on the ocean, and take in some of the exciting nightlife. The ever-popular Herring Cove Beach (two miles west) and Race Point Beach (three miles north) are close by as well.

We purchased 3 Carver Court in 2013 and named it Encore East. We named it that for our frequent visits to Vegas staying at the Encore Wynn. So, we thought it was our little five-star place located in the heart of it all. After doing some research on the property, we found that the very first owners back in 1827 were the Gifford family and the home was known as a "rooming house." The Gifford Hotel is located around the corner where you can visit the well-known Porch Bar. Many years later, two well-known artists resided in the home. Niles Spencer, who married Betty Lockehart, the owner of the property at the time, is best known for his style of cubist/modernism. One of his most well-known pieces is of the view looking out of one of the upstairs windows in the den. Another famous artist was Ernest Perry, who later married Betty Lockehart after her divorce from Mr. Spencer. The home has a great history and great positive energy to all that visit. I myself have created a number of art pieces that you can view on Facebook under "inkedwell illustrations" or look up David Dunlap's book, Building Provincetown, as we are in there as well. We both hope you enjoy and appreciate the home as much as we do.

This was the perfect vacasa for our Carnival week. Perfect location, beautiful, well decorated, spacious home with outdoor hot tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, and grill; two floors with 2 comfortable, air conditioned bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms with great fixtures, and an awesome roof deck. Wi-Fi worked great and I was even able to get some work done with a quick walk to the public library to use their scanner and printer. Did I mention the location was perfect? Easy walk to everything just one street away from the main road. Late night pizza at Spiritus right around the corner is a must, I think we got one every night, and the Local 186 has excellent burgers. Grab an arugula mojito at the Nor'East beer garden (I know it sounds weird but it's quite unique and refreshing). I think I ran out of superlatives but this is the new standard I will judge all vacation homes against. To be honest we were a little nervous as there were no reviews online when we booked it but I'm glad we took the chance. To everyone else who might be reading this, yes, it's real, and yes, it's totally worth it.
