Incredible four-level home close to lake and skiing - great for families!

This incredible Big Bear Lake vacation rental is just waiting for your family or friends mountain getaway. Beautiful inside and out, this home has space for up to 11 guests among the three spacious bedrooms, and is in the perfect location to take advantage of downhill skiing in the winter or waterskiing in the summer.

The ski lifts are visible from both balconies, and the marina on Big Bear Lake is less than a mile away! Meadows Park is just a quarter mile away, so grab a picnic lunch and head over for some play time on the tennis or volleyball courts, and the playground in the warming sun while you enjoy the lake view. Just three miles up the mountain is the fantastic Bear Mountain Resort where you'll find incredible ski and snowboarding runs.

This home's four-level, split-level floor plan gives it a unique flare. With just six steps in between each level, this home is much bigger than the exterior gives it credit for. Rustic mountain decor, brick accents, and tall beamed ceilings complete this homey abode.

Through the front door and into the middle level of this home is a nicely furnished bedroom, with two sets of bunk beds (one full-over-full and one twin-over-twin), a leather futon, and a flatscreen cable TV. A full bathroom with a tub/shower combination is also available on this floor for guests sleeping in this bedroom.

Walk across the entryway and down a short set of stairs to find a second bedroom with a plush queen-size bed and a TV (with DVD player), plus a laundry room complete with a foosball table. Play a fun game of foosball to see who has to fold the next fresh load of clothes from the dryer!

Back up to the entry level and up the other set of stairs is the main living area complete with a well stocked kitchen, two dining room tables, and a comfortable living room. Settle in to one of the two sofas while watching a movie on the large TV, or grab your cue and start a friendly game of eight-ball over at the pool table. After a day on the slopes, warm your toes by the brick fireplace while you play a game on the provided Wii. Cable, a DVD player, WiFi, movies, and Wii games are also included to keep everyone happy during your getaway.

There's plenty of space for everyone to take a seat for a board game or sit-down meal between the solid wood table for six and the diner-style booth seating at the adjacent table. Take advantage of beautiful weather by sitting out on either of the two balconies located just off the living room. Throw some hamburgers on the grill to end a perfect day of playing.

The chef of the group will adore only having to bring their apron and ingredients to have home-cooked meals on vacation! This classic kitchen has everything you'll need and more. Along with all the major appliances, a microwave, dishwasher, blender, and toaster are all provided. Dinners can be thrown into the included crock-pot so you have a hot meal waiting when you get back home from exploring the lake.

A half bath is available for your convenience on this level and another full bathroom is found up the last set of stairs. The master bedroom makes up the top floor and is pulled away from the rest of the home, giving guests who stay here a quiet retreat within their getaway. Furnished with a full bed, a twin bed, and a cozy leather recliner, this bedroom is great for a small family or to let the youngest child sleep with their parents.

With a queen-size bed, three double beds, three twins, and a futon, this home easily sleeps all 11 guests permitted here.

Between the marina for boat, jet ski, and paddleboard rentals in the summer, and skiing and snowboarding in the winter, you may stay happily occupied during your stay. Big Bear offers plenty of other fun attractions, so feel free to explore! The Village at Big Bear has numerous tasty eateries, unique and local shops, and more.

The Alpine Zoo is close by the resort, so don't miss out on seeing the black bears that inspired the name for this quaint city. Magic Mountain is less than two miles away and houses an incredible alpine slide, water slide, snow tubing, and mini-golf, or visit Big Bear Funplex for laser tag and arcade games. You really can't go wrong with whatever activity you choose!

No matter what time of year you decide to visit, this spectacular Big Bear vacation rental is the perfect home base for your fun-filled getaway.

I wish some things would have work from the beginning. Since we need it to use the microwave and sadly it was not working . Also I believe that if you know it’s a mayor Holyday they should stock with toilet paper trash bags and enough paper towels . We had a big group and did lots of cooking for thanksgiving and we could it use more supplies. But the house is great couches need to be change for sure old and broken and some shade for master bedroom window . .. also pillows smell like sweat and we had to wash them on our 1 st night .. . There is always room for improvement and if they work on this things all will be perfect .. also no laundry soap 😊

We loved this property, we had everything we needed for 2 families, kids were very happy with the provided games, the property was very clean and well maintained, the only problem we faced was, the bathroom door lock on the first floor was broken, other than that we did not have any issues here. Will surely come back in winter.
Manager response:
The bathroom lock has been fixed. We look forward to hosting this guest again!

I LIKE THE PLACE

The house had plenty of room and was full equipped with everything you would need, just need to buy groceries.
It does need some TLC and some updating but nothing that will impact your stay.

We did not feel this property was worth the money we paid for two nights. It was disappointing to arrive thinking the house would be in better shape for what we were charged. The average on the site was $205 per night and we were charged over $400. I would expect a much nicer accommodation for that cost.
Manager response:
We are disappointed to read this review as we feel the home is in fine condition. The owner does have plans to replace the carpet after the winter season which should help the overall appearance. Thank you!

Will return in the summer to enjoy the lake.
Thanks Vacasa

Took my 3 year olds and they had a blast! Would come again.

It was a relaxing stay but there are a few things that need to be fixed and updated. We had 6 young kids with us and it wasn’t exactly kid friendly. Pool table was extremely wobbly and missing screws, same with the coffee table. If those things get worked on then we would definitely go back but until then we will look elsewhere for our next family vacation.
Manager response:
The pool table and coffee table have both been fixed. Thanks!

This cabin is conveniently located and close to many Big Bear attractions. We had a full house (4 adults and 6 kids) and fit very comfortably. The bunk room was perfect for the kids and we loved that it was separate from the living area, so the adults could stay up once the kids were sleeping. We would recommend this place!

We absolutely LOVED it. It was AMAZING. There were board games, playing cards the wii game, my kids enjoyed it So much. Would DEFINITELY be staying here again, there's a park walking distance and restaurants. The only 1 thing I did not like is we have to drive about a mile to go throw our own trash, were already paying like $150 cleaning fee and we left the house spotless that was an inconvenience for us since each day we had to gather all our trash, put it in our car and go dump it, rather than having a trash can outside????

We were here for two weeks and didn't want to leave! So close to Meadow Park which our kids loved. This was our first time renting a house for vacation and our first time in Big Bear, and the experience was off-the-charts awesome.

This was our first experience as a family going on a trip to Big Bear. This was also our first time using Vacasa and renting out a house.

I must say, EVERYONE was pleased with this place! It had everything we needed, it was close to the stores, and we felt that we were in the center of most things. This location was so convenient that it would be our first choice to stay here if it's available next time.

I seriously could go onnnn and onnnn and onnnnn about this place. My family didn't want to go home after coming here. Not only was the location of the Eagle's Nest a great one, but it had lots of entertainment (games, pool table, wii, DVD player). It was perfect for all ages. The range of ages that were in our group were from 2 years old to 75 years old. My grandpa stayed in the bottom room, which was perfect and quiet enough for him, my parents and the grandkids stayed in the room upstairs, and me and my siblings stayed in the middle room.

This couldn't have been any better for us. The trip was amazing and everyone had a blast. The weather was perfect, relaxing, and it was good change of setting for us since we live in San Diego. My family doesn't really do the outdoorsy setting, but we can't wait to start planning our yearly trips back here. Hopefully the Eagle's Nest is available :)

Thanks Vacasa!!

The house was very nice for a large family with children. We loved the pool table. The house has three floors, but they are really separated by a half-flight of stairs each. The house is really the height of a normal two-story house. The house was definitely "cozy" - comfortable and clean with a little wear and tear. Nice location just a short walk from a nice park and the lake in a quiet neighborhood. The water level of the lake was depressingly low.

Great layout. Dishwasher didn't work, carpet was really old and dirty. Love the location and most everything else.
Manager response:
The dishwasher has now been replaced, and the carpets will be cleaned by the end of September. Thank you!

Would rent the place again. Loved the house, enjoyed the 3 levels of the house. Really close to the lake a 5 minute walk. A park right across from the house for kids or just to have fun playing volleyball and basketball.

Great place. Close to everything. Comfortable.

Great location and wonderful space
Blessie B. Feb 2016
The house was at a good location - convenient and close to the village and one of the ski resorts. There was ample parking for 3 cars. The inside is very cozy with enough space for 9 people. Beds were comfortable. Having a 3rd bathroom also came in handy.

This place was awesome and thought of everything. The wii, pool table, fuse table and cable kept the kids happy and busy at all times. More than enough space and during the winter snow fall, the back yard was great for sledding and snow fights. We will be back next winter. Thank you for the memories Eagle's Nest.

We showed up with summer clothes, but that day was a little cold and rainy. So nice to open the foyer closet and find jackets, boots, scarves, hats, gloves. Owners thought of everything! Kitchen was great! WE cooked all week and had everything we needed. Kids loved the Wii, rockband, pool table, board games. I am SOOO pleased with everything. Thank you for sharing your home!
Monica C. Jul 2015
Loved it so much I had to stay an extra day
Theresa G. Jul 2015
Eight of us stayed at Eagle's Nest for four days and three nights, and we couldn't have been happier. The home was extremely clean and had everything you could possibly need and want. The kids loved having the two sets of bunks in the same room and enjoyed the pool table in the family room.
We look forward to staying there again in the future. Thanks Tim for making our rental experience a smooth and stress free one.
