1776 Bayshore Road, Lopez Island, WA 98261

Tranquil bayfront home with a covered deck & large lawn, close to the beach!

Quiet and private, this spacious three bedroom with room for eight is poised - like an island on an island - on a tiny peninsula jutting out from peaceful Lopez Island. Just 10 minutes from the shops, cafes and galleries in Lopez Village, this lovely home on scenic and tranquil Fisherman Bay is your ticket to a total Lopez Island experience!

Stylish, roomy, and comfortable, this bi-level, chalet-style home sits on a sea of green right next to the bay. After cycling up to the village or exploring the nearby beach, park the bikes and unwind in the spacious living area under a wood-lined, vaulted ceiling.

Have a seat on the plush couch or kick off your shoes and put your feet up on the ottoman. You could catch a cable show on the flat-screen TV, watch a movie on DVD, or bring up the laptop and check on local events and sites... but chances are, the view of the bay through the window-studded wall will distract you. Why resist? Slip out onto the huge, covered deck and sip your drink as you watch the activity out on the bay.

If you're traveling with a larger group, you'll find the home has plenty of cozy spots for everyone to slip off and enjoy a little peace and quiet. While everyone else is catching up in the living room by the fireplace, there's a relaxing den with pull-out sofa and another TV, perfect for an afternoon nap.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with a full bed, and a third bedroom with a queen bed downstairs. Along with the sofabed, up to eight guests can comfortably share the space. The home also has two full bathrooms and a washer and dryer, so you can pack light!

Though there are some pretty nice places to eat about 10 minutes away in the village, you may want to prepare some meals yourself. No problem! You'll have everything you'll need to fix a great meal - morning, noon, or night - in this fully equipped kitchen with a big refrigerator, microwave, and plenty of cabinet space to hold the supplies you brought. And remember, you're in seafood country, so how about some surf and turf? Just click on the gas grill and enjoy a barbecue out in the beautiful outdoors.

And speaking of the outdoors... this special waterfront property sits right on Fisherman Bay, with a wide grassy lawn leading to a low-bank rocky beach. This is a great place for kayakers. If you decide to venture beyond your own front yard, you'll find that Lopez Island is 15 miles long, eight miles wide, and is mostly rolling hills and flat pastureland. This makes it a perfect environment for cyclists who can test their mettle (without battling hills) on the 30-mile loop around the island that will take you through Spencer Spit Park, Odlin Park, and MacKaye Harbor.

Or, lace up the hiking boots and take on one of the parks with trails to explore in Shark Reef Sanctuary that will take you through old growth woods and along scenic coastal vistas. For your taste of tourism, head up to Lopez Village where you can purchase souvenirs in the shops and galleries, have a great meal in one of six eateries, or just have a picnic among the beautiful island environment.

Whether you choose to just hang out at this beautiful home or go out and explore the rugged coastal beauty of Lopez Island, you'll come away with lots of memories and, very likely, an urge to return soon!

We spend a lovely weekend on Lopez Island. The house was clean, well equipped, spacious, and had great views. Lopez island in general is gorgeous, especially when the weather is nice.

The space in general was great, the view and outside space excellent. Loved the location in relation to the marina which we were using. The beds were very comfortable but the couch and chair in the living room were broken down, truly time to replace!
The glass surfaces (windows, mirrors, table) were not clean and the bed on the lower level had not been made completely. The kitchen and bathroom floors were not cleaned properly.
I may seem a little picky but having owned a cleaning service I know what I would expect if I were paying someone!
You might want to know that even though there are TV's in all around you can only watch a DVD. Also bring their own lighter for the grill because the one there did not work and to bring your own spices.
Plenty of plates and cups, and utensils but not a one wine glass which would have been nice.

Great location! It;s right on the water and we biked lots of places from this house which was great.

This was a great home base for a weekend on Lopez. The location was perfect- very quiet with easy walks to the water and a quick drive to town. House was comfortable, cozy, and clean. It was stocked with everything we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again.
Jennifer H. Aug 2018
Great location, big yard, quiet, waterfront.
Michelle P. Aug 2018
Great house and views. Beds were comfortable, deer and bunnies in the yard every morning, fun to watch sea planes and boats in the bay. Lawnchairs are lacking and no propane for the BBQ. House sleeps 8 but only has enough plates and bowls for 4-6. Also no serving bowls but that's about the only negatives. Lopez people are warm and welcoming.
Manager response:
We appreciate this guest providing feedback about their stay at Fisherman Bay Beach House. We are so happy to hear they had a great stay with us. The owner has agreed to add plates, bowls and replace the outside chairs. The BBQ was still being set up, which is why there was no propane. We apologize for the disappointment.

Loved the view and the house! Great space and yard with a private beach!

Lots of space. Perfectly located near the village and on the water.

Secluded location, on nice property. House is not stocked with any complimentary items such as coffee, tea, etc... So makesure to bring your own. Cooking dishes are slim in choice, but you should be able to get by. Wood stove heats upstairs extremely well.

Deer abound the grounds

Great location but overall home is dirty and not very homey. It's clear that no one lives here. Poor quality dishes and kitchen utensils, dirty smelly carpet, stained table, very little decoration and artwork, no attention to detail. Like a college frat house apartment. Very hard to walk down to the beach as severe erosion has washed out path.
Manager response:
We want to thank this guest for taking the time to post this review. We would like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience they may have experienced. Please be assured that we have followed up with an inspection to address the reports of dirty carpets, the quality of dishes and utensils, as well as looking into doing some improvements to art and addressing the table. New knives, glasses and frying pan have been placed in the home.

We loved the place and property. The only notice - it's lacking dishwasher and mattress was not comfortable.
Jennifer H. Sep 2017
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin on Lopez. The view is beautiful with a large open yard. Great for small kids to run around. The house is conveniently located not too far from the Lopez village.
David F. Sep 2017
Five of us stayed here on Labor Day. Our two kids loved the back yard. Grandma loved reading on the deck. We loved the view and the peace and quiet. Very close to the Islander and Lopez Village. Views all around are amazing as is the walk out to Fisherman's Bay Spit. A few minor complaints about the lack of proper pans for cooking (one very small and the other only 8" both having non-stick in very poor condition) so if a large group, cooking breakfast would have been a challenge. The deck surface could use a coat of paint, but other than that we really enjoyed the spot. Internet worked and we appreciated that. Cell coverage was not good but that is pretty much all of Lopez if you are on ATT. A few attentions to detail will make a great spot even more perfect.

The house is situated in an ideal location in Fisherman's bay.

Beautiful home, quiet street and amazing water view
Shelley S. Apr 2017
Lee was quick to make our stay as relaxing and positive as can be. We would stay again.
Lenore W. Dec 2016
Enjoyed our stay. The home is on a quiet, dead end road with little traffic. It was very peaceful. My only complaint is that the home was very cold upon arrival and it took hours to get it to a comfortable temperature. A local contact should have turned up the heat at 4pm when check in is permissible. Plus, this place is advertised as having a wood burning stove, but no wood is provided.
Other than that, we had a very nice e stay here.
Rina S. Sep 2016
The house is really nice and comfortable. Nice living room and big deck that extends from the living room.
Both beds are small and creaky. Not what you would imagine as a comfortable sleep during vacation.
Kitchenware are old. very old and full of grease and stains. The all saw better days.
Bradley C. Aug 2016
We loved the location of this house, with its view of and access to the water, and it's quiet but still just a quick drive into "town".
Our toddler loved seeing the boats and calling out the float planes as they came in and out of the bay.
The access to the water was great and made it so we could tie up our little inflatable dinghy for daily crabbing excursions. The one drawback is that the path between the yard and beach is treacherous and made access to the water and getting the boat out at the end of our stay a long and nerve-wracking process. The beach is great for water access, but not a "beach" in the sun-tanning and play-in-the-sand sense of the word :) Not that that impacted our enjoyment, since the spacious yard and deck were perfect for sunning and playing.
Brian P. Aug 2016
Great house with a good view with 4 separate sleeping rooms. The downstairs bedrooms do get a bit of noise from anyone moving around the living room, but it's tolerable.
Jeff P. Jul 2016
Nice place! Would stay here again.
Morgan M. Jul 2016
Very nice stay. Beautiful location
Charles C. Jul 2016
This was a very pleasant rental, with lots of space around it, adding to the tranquility around it. It could accommodate 4, or even 6 people very comfortably. The house and grounds were very well maintained. The view over Fisherman's Bay was very peaceful. We will probably try to return.
Nadine W. Jun 2016
We really enjoyed staying at the house. The convenience of kayaking right to it from the bay and biking from the village worked well. It was kid friendly, quiet, and has a lovely view. We mostly just grabbed breakfast and came back at night to sleep, but it was comfortable and well situated for all four adults and three kids. We would rent again.
Julian T. May 2016
This was very relaxing get away. Loves the house and would definitely return!
Bogdan R. Nov 2015
Good location, close to Lopez village. Needs more attention to details. Lock did not work in two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Eight people stayed there.
Caralyn V. Sep 2015
I loved the house! It is right on the beach, and there is a cute little swing in the back that my little boy loved. Everything was clean and well-kept. I love that I could rent an entire house for the same price as a small hotel room. This is a great house located in a quiet neighborhood on the beach. It is about 15 minutes from the ferry, and it's a beautiful drive.
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing your review! We cant wait for you and your family to come back.
Ben M. Aug 2015
Good house for two families or couples that want a little privacy/separation. Great yard for kids. Very close to great beaches/wildlife sanctuary. Could use a little attention for cleaning and minor maintenance issues, but overall a good place.
Minerva B. Jul 2015
This property has a beautiful location, flat/giant yard and is updated nicely. Minor issues were handled super quickly by the management company. The yard is so fabulous, but the property could use more outdoor activities/games so guests can take advantage. Beautiful views of Fisherman's Bay. Very quiet.
Shala G. May 2015
Our stay didn't start out great due to lots of issues with this home. If you are planning on staying here, call and check that these things have been fixed: Mold in basement, hide a bed broken, gas grill didn't work, not enough towels or blankets, kitchen ill equipped with broken/chipped dishes, TV in den didn't work, unsafe path to beach, no napkins, fabric softener, or extra paper towels.
If they have, the only real complaint is that the kitchen is about the size of a postage stamp. If that's not a concern to you, this is an absolutely gorgeous home with a beautiful view. Very serene setting.
Vacasa listened to all of my concerns and fixed as many of them as they could and comped me one day of my vacation in return for the things that couldn't be fixed during our stay. I would definitely use their company again!
Manager response:
Thank you for sharing this helpful feedback with us after your stay. This is certainly such a lovely home that boasts a fantastic view; we certainly couldn't agree more! We are terribly sorry that your trip got off to a rocky start, however, please rest assured that the property manager is aware of the issues you presented and is currently working on solutions. We thank you for bringing these items to our attention and we are so glad to hear that, despite the issues, Vacasa's customer service treated you well and we have the opportunity to see you again!

This home had everything you need
Terry F. Apr 2015
The island is a great small-town. The kind of town where everyone waves at you as you drive by and the mailman drives a modified station wagon. It's very peaceful with lots of farming and beautiful water views.

That said, there's nothing open except the village grocery store during the off-season. Don't expect to be able to grab an easy lunch when you get off the ferry. We found one restaurant that was open called "The islander" which I would give 1 star and a terrible review on yelp. Forced gratuity for a party of 6, over an hour wait for the wrong food, terrible quality food/drink, etc.

Everything was great. We did have to find the breaker box and turn on the power when we arrived, that was a little unexpected. The extra space downstairs was perfect for having a larger group with kids. The yard was freshly mowed and very green. Everything was very clean and worked great. Access to the beach is not easy for small children or the elderly.
Manager response:
Thank you for this review! We are happy that you loved the home and the great downstairs room for the kids. We can't wait for you to visit Vacasa again.
Jennifer A. Oct 2014
Nice house... Didn't feel junky or dirty. It was clean and comfortable. The beach it is on is kind of a mucky beach... Not really one you would want to hang out on much. But there is a public beach close by... On the road between fisherman bay and the ocean. We enjoyed our time there and were happy to find a place for 8 people at a decent price.
Scott D. Sep 2014
An enjoyable stay with a decent and relaxing view of Fisherman Bay. House has been nicely updated and was well-cleaned prior to arrival. Was great to have a washer-dryer, multiple bedrooms, good WiFi, and satellite TV, but cellular service is spotty in the area. Overall, a pleasant experience and value and would stay again.
