This listing is made up of the Garrison Hall, a split-level room that's ideal for receptions and retreats, as well as Cottage 9 (The Eagle's Nest). Every detail has been considered in Garrison Hall, from the logistics for event-hosting to the atmospheric military folk art and watercolor mural. In the upper part of the space, find a kitchen (complete with an electric stove and oven, a refrigerator/freezer, a microwave, a 50-cup coffee maker, cookware, serveware, glassware, flatware, and a dishwasher) and a buffet space with two tables. In the lower part, there's a reception dining space, eight-foot-long or round dining tables, and 42 chairs. French doors on both levels open to a 400-square-foot deck with a view of the water. Elsewhere on the grounds, enjoy access to grills and picnic tables. Whatever the event may be, rest assured you have the space and supplies to make it as memorable as possible!

The adjoining Eagle's Nest is a simple and comfortable studio, where - as the event host - you can lay your head for the night. You'll have a kitchenette (with a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker) for storing and prepping your own drinks and snacks, a comfortable bed, a bathroom, and complimentary high-speed WiFi. There's no TV to distract you here, so you're free to immerse yourself in your serene island surroundings.

The Fort Casey Inn dates back to 1909, with its cottages once serving as quarters for non-commissioned officers at neighboring Fort Casey. Today, the adjacent Fort Casey State Park is one of the most beautiful spots on Whidbey Island, with its bunkers and batteries, a lovely lighthouse, driftwood-strewn beaches, and awe-inspiring sunset views of the Olympic Mountains across the water. You can walk to the Coupeville Ferry Dock (which connects to Port Townsend) and drive to the Ebey's Landing Bluff Trail (three miles) and picturesque downtown Coupeville (four miles) in a matter of minutes.
