There are beautiful hiking trails, snowshoe trails, and other adventures to be had in the adjacent Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, and Minocqua Winter Park is just down the road. The Minocqua area has all the fun activities a family could ask for, including miniature golf, a zoo, horseback riding, zip-lining, restaurants, a distillery, and a brewery. There is also a pay-to-play disc golf course right next door!
