We really enjoyed our stay here, quiet, peaceful and very clean. Nice views of ocean from chairs in back of meadow. Open and sunny too. Hope to visit again in the future. Vacasa was easy to work with and they communicated all that was needed. Thanks to the owners if the cabin for all amenities and awesome decor.

Everything is done right! It's clean in and out! Loved the front lawn and the trees and flowers. We didn't use the BBQ grill but it's available.

The property was just as described. Very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our visit so much and plan to go again. Vacasa was so easy to work with and very accommodating. Will book through them again. Overall it was a great experience.

We loved the environment, the quiet, the black bear. We hated the furniture and were so let down by the condition of the couch and esp. the love seat and couldn't get comfortable!
Steven, thank you for providing your valuable feedback, as we use your comments as a means to continually improve. Please know that local staff is available to assist if there are issues with the amenities offered We hope to have a chance to host your next visit, thank you!

The home renovation and furnishings were extremely well done and made for a real cozy feeling at night. The private yard was HUGE and we'll maintained, plus the setting was very quiet and private which was perfect for hanging outdoors and feeling connected to nature. The location was a great base for trips into town or visiting the numerous parks/beaches nearby. We definitely hope to return for a longer trip in the near future.
Started off with no electricity in the area so the owner switched the cabin over to spring water so we had toilets and water to wash up. Luck was on our side and we had power by 5 p.m.The cabin was great along with all the hiking trails and things to see. We stayed 6 days and it was great to relax and unwind.
This canin is a sweet spot. It has all you need for cooking in and a beautiful yard to enjoy. Trinidad and all other sites are close by. House is quaint and clean. We locved it.
Scotty's cabin was beautiful. We really loved the yard and location. The way the cabin is decorated made you feel right at home!
Spending a few nights in the cool coastal weather of Trinidad. The house was a perfect size and the lawns were beautiful. We were very satisfied with our accommodations.
We really enjoyed staying in the cabin. It was clean and provided all the amenities we needed.
This was a perfect get away spot. A delightful cabin away from the crowds. It is just off of a freeway exit but there was no noise from the road. We felt like we were miles away from everyone. The cabin has everything that you need to cook your own meals (we cooked about half of our meals during the trip) and is close to Trinidad ( 3 miles ) if you want to pop over to the grocery store or eat out. Everything was squeaky clean and nicely laid out. Convenient to Redwoods State Park and Arcata and Eureka. This is our second stay here and we were just as happy as we were with our first stay.
Quiet, out of the way cabin. Very cute inside. Need curtains in bathroom. The ocean view is marred by the electrical lines.
I have not stayed in a rental home this nice for the price they charged ever! It literally felt like a home away from home when I walked in! It was incredibly clean - cleaner than I've ever visited in a rental cabin. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen was well appointed and the location was perfect for our adventures.
If I could pick at anything (and this is a VERY minor pick), it was the couches and TV situation. My husband and I hiked each day for 8+ hours (38 miles in 5 days!) and when we got back at night, we missed being able to watch TV shows that we were actually interested for the hour or so we relaxed. Basic channels are available (like 12 of them) so we only had options like home shopping and religious channels. That, and the couches aren't very comfy. I know the point is to unwind and enjoy nature but when you already did that and still want to take a few minutes of watching maybe HGTV or a movie on the rainy days, a better TV channel selection would be a nice touch.
Overall, this rental really did feel very comfortable and homey - probably cleaner than my own home!
This is the 3rd time I've rented thru Redwood Coast. Each of the properties was also available thru other sites, but my experience with Redwood Coast has been so good, I would always choose to book thru them.
As good as this place sounds on the descriptions and reviews it is better. Very close to the coast, good food and Great hiking in local and state parks. Are you home and property are absolutely beautiful and look to be very well-maintained. Can't wait to go back.
We loved our stay at Scotty Point. The home is wonderfully decorated and stocked with (almost) everything you need for a wonderful get away to the California coast. Just heads up for anyone else, it's a regular coffee pot, not keurig so don't take your pods like i did and expect a warm cup of coffee ;) also, it was pretty chilly at night, some heavier blankets would be nice but I'm sure those are coming as the weather just began to switch. Some beach tools such as chairs and blanket would be nice to take as well but all in all, it was a wonderful little piece of heaven, if it had a hot tub and fire pit, we may not have left the place to come home. Two BIG thumbs up.
Comfortable space near the parks, beaches, and Redwoods. Very private, but close to Trinidad with great shops and restaurants.
Perfect location on a beautiful property
Highly recommend this perfectly designed and outfitted small, cozy cabin for a peaceful retreat in the Trinidad area.
Hate to have to share this place with others... clean, modern, comfortable, roomy enough for 2. Good kitchen and great shower. Location couldn't be better for getting into Trinidad proper (grocery store, coffee shop, etc) and also for hiking further North.
Our family of three enjoyed this cozy cute clean quiet perfect little cabin. Huge private yard with adirondack chairs and a framed glimpse view of the ocean. Be prepared to BYO TP & paper towels but otherwise you'll enjoy the full size kitchen and cabin amenities including outside grill and wifi. only a 2 mile drive to the local grocery store. If you're looking for a tasty place to dine - try Larrupin Cafe a mile down the road from the cabin. You will love it!
VERY NICE GREAT CABIN
A really well appointed and set up cabin. The property was gorgeous, conveniently located to town and had breathtaking views. There were a few neccesities we couldn't find like the detergent for the dishwasher (hand washing everything got a little tedious as the check out time is on the early side) But that was the only hiccup. Everything was very very clean and we were extremely comfortable. Definitely would stay again.
Scotty Point Cabin was the best two nights of our 10 day trip. Relaxing, beautiful accommodations, amazing scenery out the front door. We could have stayed forever. ????
Fantastic location. Property was very well maintained indoors and out. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.
My husband and I stayed here for 3 days for our honeymoon & it was so perfect. Everything is so cute and very clean. The owners provide you with everything you'd need & the view was beautiful! The best part for us was how isolated it was. It was really nice to get away from people and all the noises from the city & just relax.
I took my parents (who celebrated 53 years together) on a trip to see the redwoods and we stayed in Scotty Point Cabin and it was just perfect for the three of us. The cabin was spotlessly clean, decorated beautifully and with so many thoughtful details. The beds were soft and luxurious and the bedding was cozy and comfortable. It was just right for 3 adults. We enjoyed being able to walk in the big yard and see the ocean from the far end of the property. It was a trip to remember and Scotty Point Cabin helped make it perfect! I can't say enough good things about it, the location was just what we were looking for - out to itself and private yet near the town of Trinidad, which is a tiny town but such a cute, clean, and friendly place. We were able to explore the Redwood Forest easily with the cabin as our home base to come home to and relax. We made most of our meals at the cabin and everything we needed was there. This is a perfect home away from home!
This is a lovely property; clean, comfortable, nicely equipped and well-decorated. It is small, but perfect for two adults and a teen. The cabin is very private and trees hide nearby homes. The cabin sits on a large lot with a beautiful, big yard. There is a distant ocean view from the front windows, and you can see the ocean by walking out to the end of the property. The cabin is convenient to Highway 101, but we heard no highway noise. Great location for our visit to Redwood National/State Parks, Humboldt State University, Trinidad and Arcata.
This cabin is clean, new, well designed, private, peaceful, convenient.
Very cute little cabin.
My wife and I love the Trinidad area and have stayed at the Scotty Cabin twice. We really like the location of the cabin. It is peaceful and secluded yet close to everything we want explore and enjoy.
The cabin is immaculate and very well decorated. On the down side the furniture and bed could use an upgrade. A heads up for not just older people but anyone, the bottom step is very slick when it's wet.
Simply outstanding! This is one of the best AIrbnb stays we've ever experienced. The location was amazing, the cabin was immaculate, and the communication was wonderful. We appreciated all the little touches, such as plenty of cookware and utensils to make our own meals, cute little space heaters in each room, a notebook chalk full of helpful information about the cabin and the area, air freshener in the bathroom, tissue boxes (my daughter had a cold). We played outside during the day (HIGHLY recommend Prairie Creek State Park) and then played games inside in the evenings.
We hope to come back again when the weather is a bit warmer so we can take advantage of all the outside seating. It would be a dream to sit outside around a firepit (not sure if one is available) with a glass of wine and listen to the ocean.
