Recent South Fork guest reviews

The views were amazing and the sound of the river was relaxing. The home was better than the pictures showed. We had a wonderful time. The only thing that would have made it better would have been a working gas fire pit on the wonderful back porch. We even had a family of deer visit us one evening at dusk.

First, I'd like to note that this is not what I would consider "secluded". This is close to the main highway and there are several other cabins close by. We had a very uncomfortable morning one of the mornings where the person in the other cabin seemed to be watching us from their car. The river drains out the noise from the highway. I also think some of the variability in the reviews is due to the labeling of this as a luxury cabin. I'm used to primitive camping so this was very nice to have running water and electric, let alone WiFi and a hot tub! The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, utensils and pans. Nothing is of the best quality but it all works. The furniture is pretty beat up but I can imagine people are rough on it. The floors are cold this time of year so bring socks/slippers. The hot tub worked well while we were there and everything was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Please keep in mind that Vacasa does not share access information, including the complete location until less than 24 hours before your reservation. This was a little nerve wrecking for me as we were traveling and I was worried. This is also not a location I would attempt to find in the dark again, try to arrive prior to sunset as there is no light crossing the bridge to the property nor did the cabin have any exterior lights on. These cabins are also not labeled with names so I initially remembered the instructions wrong and tried to access the wrong cabin. Screenshot the access and wifi instructions as you will likely not have cell service to pull anything up.

Beautiful home in an amazing spot in South Fork. Common area is beautiful and has a ton of room for our large group. There were a couple issues with regards to the oven and some doors not closing well/handles getting stuck, but did not impact the stay in a great deal. Also, with only 3 real bedrooms, sleeping was a little tight for our large group (3 couples in a room) but there was indeed bed space for everyone. Would definitely stay here again.
