Clean, flawless check in, conveniently located. My advice would be that it would be nice if there was a small table. A table would be nice for eating a meal, playing games, etc..

Loved the place! Very cute. We met Andrew, the manager, and
Gabriel, maintenance. They were both very nice and helpful!

Loved the hotel, spacious and comfortable.

The bed was soft, the ceiling fan and a sea breeze kept us cool and the bathroom was clean and bright. A great room to relax in with a decent little market across the road.

The parking was easy and the Clipper Inn is well within walking distance of a lovely beach (day discover pass needed, $10) and cafe/bars further up the hill. Short drives can get you to Seabrook and other towns, and we used the room as a base to go north and explore the Quinault rainforest for the day.

The Captains quarters is wonderfully clean and well payed out. Just the right amount of amenities. Close to the beach and the camp grounds made for a great family vacation

Captain’s Quarters is a great home base to use if you’re out and about during the day. For the price point it works. The floors are sandy and honestly it was expected reading the other reviews. The duvet cover and pillow case had yellow, green and blue stains. By some chance on the day of check I noticed that there was a make up applicator under the bathroom vanity from the last visitor I guess. Cleanliness isn’t the top priority but it’s not all that bad. I brought it up to the attention of the property managers during my visit and they were prompt to bring it up with the on-site people. It is 5 minutes from Seabrook and the area is very quiet. I would recommend that they add a two seater table, so guests have some where to sit and eat or enjoy their morning coffee.

Had a great time. Not much negative I can say. Bed was a little soft for me but that’s a personal preference. It was clean and well kept. Location was prime for visiting seabrook. Short drive to Ocean
Shores. Some of the surrounding buildings and the lot next door were a little bit of an eyesore but that did not take away from our stay. It was a little small if you plan to lounge around but staying in was not our intended purpose. All in all is was a nice cozy place to stay and would stay there again.

We loved the look, location and feel of this room, (and fabulous shower!) but the bed didn't have much support. We ended up rolling together while trying to sleep, and as a result, didn't sleep well. Otherwise I would have given this a 5-star rating.

Convenient. Clean and Comfortable. The queen size bed was comfortable and the decor was relaxing.

I’ll start with the good stuff: it’s reasonably priced and literally seconds from the convenience store and the little coffee shop and parking was easy. Staff was friendly when the lockbox was stuck and they helped us get into the room. The towels and bathroom were clean and so was the kitchenette area. TV was basic cable but we weren’t there to watch TV anyway, so it was fine.

Here are the reasons for the 3 stars though:

- The bed linens were COVERED in little black hairs. They didn’t look obscene, more like someone had shed head hairs or pet hair all over them. But being stark white bedding, it was obvious and it was gross. We bring our own blankets and pillows to most rentals for just this reason and thank goodness this time because I would NOT have slipped between those sheets.

- The room also smelled very heavily of perfume. It was choking in the air and the bed linens had the same strong smell. Reason number two not to sleep in the linens: it smelled like someone else’s perfume. I suspect it was the cleaning crew, but maybe a note could be made about wearing a more neutral scent. It was a lovely scent, but not exactly what we’d like to be greeted with in a “clean” room… We opened the windows and left for almost two hours and it was much more bearable at that time, but whew!

The chair provided had god knows what kind of buildup between the back cushion and the back frame of the chair so that was avoided. The pillow also sorely needs to be washed replaced.

- And bring your own broom and dustpan! The room has been renovated to look very cute, but there was no way to get the sand off the vinyl plank and walking around on sandy, vinyl floors is not a nice feeling. No rugs, no doormat to wipe off before coming in, nothing. So our room and everything in it was very well covered in sand after our brief, two night, 1.5 day stay; I couldn’t imagine what it’d be like for longer than that. It was so bad that we thought about using a towel as a mat, but of course they’re white too and I couldn’t bring myself to dirty a towel that wasn’t ours that badly. So bring a mini broom/dustpan so you can clean the floors and not have to yell at whoever is staying with you (or yourself!) about a gross, sand-filled bed, lol

- and a note about safety: on the electrical outlet behind the chair, it looks like someone ripped an old plug out of the wall and got a metal prong stuck in the outlet. I wasn’t about to find out what happens when anyone or any object touches it, but it seems a little risky to just leave there like that. So either no one has noticed (in which case, someone needs to clean behind stuff, it’s pretty obvious!) or they haven’t taken the time to turn off the electricity to remove the prong (which concerns me about what else is getting skipped over.) Either way, seems like a big risk waiting for a curious toddler or dog nose to be sniffing around :(

I hate leaving less-than-5-star reviews for places, but in this case, I was grossed out enough that it was warranted. This was a mother-daughter trip for myself and my kiddo and it was our first trip sleeping away from home/camping since the pandemic started so I understand I may be more picky about cleanliness than I might’ve in the old times, but this place just wasn’t up to it. It was a very cute place, though, and I’m sure someone less finicky than me would be fine. The room also has lots of natural light but with both blinds and curtains, great for sleeping in! The hairs all over the bed, though. That was the breaker for me, unfortunately.
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us, Meghan. We are sorry to hear your stay at our home was less than stellar and we sincerely apologize for the oversights you found. We have forwarded your review to our property manager to address and work on improving the home for our next renters. Please know linens are always switched out with a new set after every guest. This is our highest priority for cleanliness. The outlet has been fixed so that is not an issue for future guests. We apologize for any missteps, as it is never our intention to disappoint. We hope to have the opportunity to better impress you in the future.
