Renting this home was frustrating and had many disappointments. I had lots of questions about what was provided so there were several back and forth emails because the amenities list has very few things on it especially in comparison to other rentals I’ve done. When we entered the house I discovered what I had been told was wrong. I was told there were only 2 rolls of toilet paper. 1 for each bath - wrong. There were several rolls but it was not high quality at. The paper towels were also of very low quality. I had asked about soap, shampoo and hand lotion - things I’ve had in other rentals. None provided I was told. Not true. Soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided like are provided in hotels. There was no lotion - an important item in a cold, dry climate. The house is old and does not heat evenly. The kitchen was especially cold. The largest bedroom is downstairs and the bed had no blankets, just a thin bedspread. I usually slept under it no my bathrobe. There was also no closet or dresser. We had rented the house to attend 2 special events including the ordination of a priest and had brought clothes that needed to be hung up. I always unpack when I travel so I don’t have to constantly dig through my suitcase. There are 2 upstairs bedrooms and only 1 had a closet. Upon arriving very late we found the rear parking area and sidewalks covered with snow. There was enough snow that it made opening the gates difficult. Entrance was through the front only by code but their porch light was burned out making it difficult to see how to enter the numbers. I found a snow shovel and started shoveling so we could get our suitcases in without covering them in snow. In the process I tripped and fell. The location is good and close to downtown but several blocks south of the central part of downtown where the main core of stores are. As we approached our checkout date we were offered an extended checkout day but we had to pay for it. No way! I won’t be booking a rental through an agency again. Renter beware. The front sidewalk and steps were also snow covered and the steps leading to the front porch had no handrail.
Manager response:
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your rental experience, Rebecca. We are truly sorry for the issues you encountered and would like to apologize for not providing you with the full amenities list. We will be sure to update our list in the future to ensure that it is more detailed and accurate. We are sorry that you felt the quality of the toilet paper and paper towels was not up to par as we strive to provide our guests with the best possible experience. We are sorry to hear the home did not heat evenly and we will be sure to look into this further and make any necessary improvements. We will also add more bedding and will work with the owners on adding additional storage space for our guests' clothes. Finally, we apologize for the rear parking area and sidewalks being covered with snow when you arrived. While our local teams do their best to clear driveways and home entrances, there can be new snow dumped on them. All homes are equipped with a shovel for guest use. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention and we hope that you will consider renting with us again in the future.

The house was exactly what we needed - plenty of space, close proximity to Glacier, and walking distance to downtown. The kitchen was very well-stocked, and the outdoor patio space and backyard was really nice.

It’s a cute historic looking home in a nice area. Beds were good and had everything we needed in the kitchen. Only issue we had was a few of the lights were out such as the front porch light. There seems to be a lot of cars that drive by revving engines-Must be a thing here. But it was nice to be close to town.
Manager response:
Thank you for your review, Mary, we hope you enjoyed your stay. We will have maintenance replace the light bulbs. We are so sorry to hear about the traffic noise. Please know we strive to provide every guest with a relaxing stay and often the surrounding noise is out of our control. We hope we can host you again.

The house was very clean. It was less than 10 minutes walk to Main Street. The neighborhood has many historic homes and made for a lovely walk. The house was well-appointed and very comfortable. There are fairly steep stairs to the second floor but there is a bedroom and bathroom on the first floor if someone in your party would be challenged by stairs.

The house was nice but they need to do something about the AC or improve the air circulation. Of course, we did go in the summer, but keeping the windows open with those tiny removable screens was not enough to keep the bugs out or to keep us cool. Oh, and upstairs bathroom was intolerable in the afternoon.
Manager response:
We apologize you found the home uncomfortably warm and will be sure to look into solutions. Thanks, Kevin!

We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back. The covered patio and grill were terrific on a day with spring showers. The house is very clean and functional.
