You will be greeted by sunny, direct oceanfront views, lush landscape, and both covered and uncovered upper balcony porches that offer the best sunrise spot in all of St. Augustine. This vacation gem offers you a chance to get away from the crowds and experience St. Augustine in a way few people ever will, your own piece of paradise. The house is charming and gives you the old Florida feeling that is both comfortable and practical in a beach house.

The house offers a private apartment downstairs with a studio-style bedroom, a couch that doubles as twin beds, a kitchenette, and a private bath giving you your own space away from your upstairs guests. It includes a spacious open floor plan, with three bedrooms upstairs. The primary room has a king-size bed, one guest room has a queen and a private bath, and the kids' room has a bunk bed and a trundle bed, plus a TV. There are two huge porches on the main floor directly on the ocean. One has a covered roof and one is open to allow sitting in the sun and enjoying the waves and the ocean breeze. A private washer and dryer are provided, along with free WiFi, and all bedrooms have smart TVs. There is a huge two-car garage and plenty of parking in the driveway. The kitchen has everything the group chef will need, including a panini press. The layout with the separate apartment and the huge open floor plan makes this the perfect house for two families to vacation together.

Pelican Paradise is the perfect place to enjoy all the area has to offer. You have some of the best surfing and surf-fishing in St. Augustine and from your balcony, you can see dolphins, whales, and even sea turtles laying their eggs during nesting season. You can walk to Matanzas Inlet and even take a state park boat ride to the smaller St. Augustine Fort that was used as a lookout for the main fort in downtown Historical St. Augustine. You will be close to so many parks and can even swim with dolphins at nearby Marineland or rent Kayaks and explore the miles of Intercoastal back county. There is so much to explore in this part of St. Augustine and this makes Pelican Paradise a nature lover's dream vacation house. You will see things few tourists ever get to see so leave some time in your schedule just to explore the many natural gems in this area.

Our family has rented Pelican Paradise 3Xs. We appreciate that it has a well stocked kitchen so we can make family meals. With the fire pit gone lots more room!! Also like the bunk room. Lots of great amenities. Location is the best for the activities we enjoy doing. Highly recommend!!

House was clean and how it was described. Comfy beds. Lots of room. Well equipped kitchen. One issue though .. I think recent storm Nicole has impacted the whole area and although the house itself was not affected the access to the beach seems to have been washed away. For young kids or older folks it’s a bit of a scramble over difficult rocks and debris. The beach itself is lovely though once you get there. We had weirdly bad weather so didn’t spend a whole lot of time on the sand and none in the water but I can imagine on nice days it would be perfect. The area is interesting.

The home is very spacious and has a beautiful view of the ocean from the large balcony! If you want to sit and relax with your family and watch the waves it's perfect. The beach is not crowded bc it's mostly residential so it makes a great vacation spot.

I’ll start this review off by stating that this home is great, we had 12 people in our party and the home was able to house them all. The beach was located approximately 50 yards from the front door, which was fantastic. Bathrooms were small, but sufficient. One note I would take on this is that the master bathroom is connected to the common bathroom via the shower, and the has glass doors on both sides covered by shower curtains on the exterior, which may not be great for those vacationing with people outside their immediate family.

As indicated by the title, I think this place would be deserving of 5 stars if it was managed better. One red flag that we had ignored was the transfer of the property from VRBO to Vacasa between placing the reservation and our vacation occurring. We can only speculate that this was done in attempt to change the listing or reviews. Upon checking the Vacasa listing just before our vacation, we noticed that there was an added line about not being able to reduce air conditioner temperature to below 73 degrees or we would be liable for damages.

Some issues that were at this home stemming from management were:
1. Air Conditioner would not maintain temperature- AC was set at 73 for duration of trip, but the interior temp often reached 78+ degrees, even without doors opening. This was brought to management attention within 24 hours, no action was taken.
2. About 6 Lightbulbs were burnt out throughout the property (2 directly over the kitchen table). We replaced these ourselves.
3. Downstairs “en-suite” was pictured to have a TV in the bedroom and a Microwave in the Kitchenette. Upon arrival, the TV and microwave did not work. Replacement items were brought the next morning, but one of the guests in our party needed to install them.
4. The bathroom attached to the bathroom adjacent to the kitchen had the shower head literally attached by duct tape.
5. The living room TV comcast remote was missing. This was reported within the first 24 hours but never addressed by the management company.
6. Rocking chair on the front porch was broken, with nails sticking out.
7. Washer and dryer as pictured in the listing are not functional. Separate washer and dryer were available for use in the basement. ‘
8. Multiple sections of siding have been melted (most likely from the grill) This was just aesthetics, so wasn’t a huge deal.

This house was very cool, and in a great location for beach goers. We would love to stay there again if these simple issues were addressed.
Manager response:
Bradley, thank you for reviewing your stay, we are pleased that you thought that our home was great and that it was a good fit for your party. It's good to know that you enjoyed the location and the wonderful beach access as well. That being said, we apologize for any misunderstanding or confusion when you received information from Vacasa. We understand that when a unit is booked on a 3rd party website it may be surprising to have to reach out to our management company. We go to great efforts to make sure that our guests are aware that they can contact us via our 24-hour customer service line via phone call, text, and email. In efforts to provide fast and effective communications, we have a whole team to assist as needed. Additionally, we are sorry that there were some areas that needed some TLC and our local manager has assured us that they have all been addressed. We enjoyed having you as our guest and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again.

House is ok… heavy pesticide was used before we checked in… i think they used a bomb so we washed all dishes and cooking utsnsils, bedding etc… we had a pregnant person there that opted to get a hotel room down the street. The propane tanks were empty and I reached out on the first day regarding that but never heard back obviously we went and got our own propane.

If it wasn’t for the location I would be very upset probably to the point where I’d be asking for a refund but the location of the house is amazing and without the pesticide issue I’d likey rent it again…
Manager response:
Troy, we are pleased that you loved the location but are disheartened that there were issues that detracted from your stay. Our homes are treated quarterly for pests, and we apologize if there was any odor that might have lingered from a recent treatment. We are also sorry that propane was not on hand and unfortunately, our notes don't indicate a request was made for this item. and we are sorry for the inconvenience. We hope that you will give us another chance to better impress you in the future.

This property offered an amazing opportunity to travel comfortably with pets. The views were incredible, offering stunning sunrises from the deck (covered and uncovered portions to enjoy the sun or cool off in the shade). There’s lots of opportunity for water activities (surfing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc.). Highly recommend!

Our Family of 3 have stayed here twice. It’s an excellent location if you want to be Beach Front. We always enjoy our stay. I appreciate the fact that every one is laid back. No one bothers you including if or when the neighbors are around. Feels like your own little paradise. This review was submitted while the home was managed by a different property management company.
