Visiting San Jacinto State Park

The more adventurous outdoor enthusiasts in the group can rock climb on Tahquitz Rock or Suicide Rock, both very well-known among climbing circles.
One portion of the famous Pacific Crest Trail runs along the San Jacinto mountain range, and for a shorter trek, you can hike the trails to the peak of the range for views of the Coachella Valley, and on very clear days, the Salton Sea.
The Arts in Idyllwild, CA
Idyllwild has been the home of the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema since 2010, showing over 50 international selections every January. Though this festival is new, it is gaining in popularity, with more and more films shown every year.
The home of the Stratford Players, Idyllwild is also great for theatre enthusiasts! Showing everything from traditional Shakespeare to recent Tony award-winning productions, the Players are sure to have something for you. Their most famous production, Will in the Woods, is held every fall, and features selections from various Shakespeare plays and sonnets in their beautiful outdoor location, as they were originally performed in the Bard’s day.
