Recent Fort Myers vacation rental reviews

Plenty of space for our family to relax. Kitchen had all of the needed cooking and dining supplies but new prep knives are needed. There was no BBQ grill provided. Access to park in the garage was helpful since there is no street parking and also to get the car out of the heat. Master bathroom is shared with another bedroom but not functional with two couples or multiple adults because there is no door from the master bedroom.

Very well equipped Condo, with everything you need for a relaxed and longer vacation. Everything newly furnished, new beds, laminate flooring, electronic devices, towles, etc. We found enough beach utensils, such as umbrellas, sun loungers, bath towels, cooler bags for nice trips to the beach in the apartment. The facility is being renovated after Hurricane Ian, the pool is already filled with fresh water and everyone is working flat out to bring everthing back to its original condition. But the work doesn't interfere with spending an nice holiday. Other amenities are that a Publix is 2 minutes away for daily shopping and also the beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Island are a 10 minures drive away. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony in tje evening with a flas of Wine, looking at the pond and enjoying the evenings. We will come back.

Things to do in Fort Myers

Fort Myers is a mid-size city on the Caloosahatchee River that boasts year-round tropical weather and beautiful white sand beaches nearby. Come during any season to experience its tranquil beaches and warm Gulf waters.

Sunbathe on Fort Myers Beach or Bonita Beach while your kids play in the aquamarine ocean and collect seashells deposited by the surf. Or take a romantic stroll with your spouse down the boardwalk and over tidal pools at Lovers Key State Park. If you can't imagine leaving your furry friend behind, we offer many pet-friendly Fort Myers vacation rentals that welcome both you and your dog.

When the sun sets, head downtown to the River District where there's great dining, shopping, and bar-hopping to keep you entertained throughout the night. If you're in the mood to dance, nightclubs like Celsius and Club 1527 often feature deejays that spin a variety of records and keep the dance floor going into the early hours of the morning.

Our vacation rentals will also give you quick access to the city's wonderful museums including the Southwest Florida Museum of History. Bring the whole family or a group of friends here to learn about the area's rich history through interactive exhibits showcasing the Paleo and Seminole Indians, Spanish explorers, early settlers, and more.

Beaches near Fort Myers

If you've come seeking fun in the sand and surf, you'll find just that on the beaches of Sanibel Island, a 24-mile drive southwest. Soft white sand, numerous colorful shells brought in by the tides, and abundant sea life will greet you on beaches like Lighthouse Beach, Tarpon Bay Beach, Bowman’s Beach, and others.

Sanibel Island is known for some of the best shelling in the world, thanks to the multitude of shells that wash up on its shores daily. Kids will love collecting these shells and might even end up on the front page of the local newspaper if they find the prized Junonia, which is a rare polka-dot shell known to wash up on the island’s beaches.

Day trips from Fort Myers

Fort Myers also boasts many other activities to get up close to the area's aquatic wildlife, including bird-watching on the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail, spotting alligators in the water, and taking a leisurely stroll along a boardwalk at Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, which is just nine miles south of town.

Take a drive about 10 miles northeast to the Lee County Manatee Park, where you'll have a chance to kayak and spot resident manatees that call this park home in the cooler winter months. There's a reason to come any time of year, though, between the extensive butterfly garden, beautiful landscape, picnic and playground area, and fishing off the pier.

Whether it's relaxation or action you’re seeking in your Southwest Florida getaway, rest assured our Fort Myers vacation rentals will give you access to it all.
