Great location, 2 minutes walk to the famous Waikiki Beach. Surfboard rental downstairs. Clean pleasant apartment. We had everything we needed. Prompt response when we had a WiFi problem. A representative came within 1 hour to the apartment and fixed the issue. Garbage disposal day is every morning at 6 am .

Before we arrived at this Ilikai unit we had several emails and text messages to keep us informed about our upcoming stay. The communication was wonderful before, during, and when we checked out. When we arrived at the condo it was super clean, fresh and clean smelling. The condo is very beautifully decorated, upgraded, and very modern. It is stacked with several amenities such as pot, pans, rice maker, dishes, utensils etc. The bed is very comfortable and is actually a King size bed which we prefer. The sunsets were spectacular from the 9th floor. I would have gave the unit a 5 star but the nice big screen tv they have has very little to watch. There is no cable tv, live news or sports like the NFL, or local channels, only wifi streaming, which is old news. However, we really enjoyed our vacation.

Right in the heart of Waikiki you are close to everything, shopping, the beach, restaurants, bus transportation. The building is very secure, and there has been some repairs to the property noted from prior feedback. The A/C in the Master looks to be fairly new and works well, although the flooring in the Master is flaking a part and should be replaced, there is prior water damage. I would suggest that Vacasa add a cookie sheet to the mix of pots and pans, speaking of which a complete set of pots and pans would be nice, at least a couple of more frying pans. There is a broom but no dust pan. The unit is on the 17th floor and has a great view, once in the building you will need a security fob to get to the room. Not a terrible place to stay, off street parking was loved and required, there is a hair dryer in the bathroom, towels and what you need to live for a few days, bring your own shampoo and person items. The in unit washer and dryer was a nice feature, both worked as they should have, hard wood flooring is easy to care for. Ignore the part about the building having a pool, there is one, but it is broken and may never be repaired, something the HOA is talking about currently. It leaks and major structural problems so not a quick fix. It may never be fixed. Knowing everything that I know now, I would rent the condo again and again, the location offsets any minor negatives this unit has. Rent it and enjoy the area, the sun and fun of Waikiki all a few steps from the building.. Enjoy

Waikiki: Honolulu's crown jewel

Waikiki is home to Honolulu's most famous beaches and popular vacation rentals. This stretch of paradise encompasses about eight individual beaches, each offering something different for the thousands of visitors who travel here each year. The legendary Duke Kahanamoku, "the father of modern surfing," honed his craft here. A section of the shore called Duke Kahanamoku Beach, as well as a statue, commemorate him.

The Waikiki Beach Walk directs visitors through the palm trees, offering glimpses of the waves and avenues to the surrounding shops. Upscale shoppers may gravitate toward the Royal Hawaiian Center, where you'll find luxury goods of all kinds. Once you've worked up an appetite, stop by Duke's Waikiki for picturesque tiki drinks and a classic taste of Hawaiian grilling.

Surfing and beyond: Things to do in Waikiki

There's no denying that Waikiki's waves are the main attraction. Surfers from all over the world journey to this beautiful beach to test their skills, and classes are readily available to teach beginners the thrill of surfing.

If surfing isn't for you, you might rent a snorkel mask and get acquainted with the local aquatic life instead. Companies like Waikiki Beach Services can furnish you with a stand-up paddleboard or take you out on a catamaran. Don't miss the opportunity to try outrigger canoe surfing with the famous Waikiki Beach Boys, who keep the tradition alive for visitors to sunny Oahu.

Visiting Waikiki is like stepping into a postcard of paradise. The gorgeous beach paired with chic urban dining, shopping, and entertainment creates a world of possibility for vacationers. Book one of our Waikiki vacation rentals and experience everything you've imagined Hawaii could be.
