Two moms and 2 daughters on a girls weekend. Everything was great! condo was cute, clean, good wifi. We didn't spend a lot of time in the condo but when we did , it was comfortable. The only thing to note that the master bathroom had a nice walk in shower (small but adequate)but the 2nd bathroom upstairs had a large step to get into the shower. Just to keep in mind if traveling with an older person who isn't used to that. other than that, I'd recommend this condo!!

This place is an absolute oasis- amazing views with a homey feel! It is well thought out for every guest experience. Whether it be cooking, family game night or even family movie night. This place is everything you need to fill at home while on vacation. Spacious living and an abundance of sleeping quarters Allows everyone to have their own area of refuge. Still having an area for the entire Family Together, and enjoy being To Together. Not to mention Very well kept clean to the field of a platinum rated resort. Nothing is miss in this five star experience.

Beyond the obvious benefits of being in Sun Valley, what made this vacation even better was this “Fairway 12 Retreat” on Elkhorn Road. Location is important, and this large home was not only set back off a main road with hiking and biking paths, but is nestled within the trees on the 12th hole of the Elkhorn Golf Course that offers a picturesque mountainscape in the background across the fairway. The features of the house set it apart from your typical vacation home. Like heated seats and a heated steering wheel in your car, this property not only has a heated back patio deck, heated walkways, and a fully heated driveway with ample parking, but a covered semi-circle drive with room for maneuvering that leads to the entrance of the front door. I can't stress how luxurious it is to know you won't be slipping and falling even when the snow is coming down hard. Your pathway from your car to the house is always clear and safe. The heated rear patio deck is perfect for sitting and enjoying the spectacular view from the 4-place hot tub, which is accessible from the kitchen without having to trample through any snow, thus making it a frequent favorite place to relax, enjoy a book, a cocktail, a cigar, or just contemplate. Il Dolce Far Niente, the sweetness of doing nothing! As expected from a large home, this one has spacious rooms that are properly appointed with enough comfortable furniture for all to enjoy. The gourmet kitchen has new, large appliances with enough prep area and counterspace for all the self-proclaimed chefs to use at the same time. The 8-burner stovetop with griddle, high capacity oven, and enormous refrigerator freezer afforded everyone their own place for cooking needs. The kitchen looks out through a large slider, while the main living room boasts picture windows that feature the golf course and mountain scenery. Dual dishwashers that keep the counters clear, a wine fridge, a cappuccino machine, and a household tankless hot water system make for some of the small “attention to detail” items that set this home apart. The kitchen is open to the living room, featuring an 85-inch TV that makes for the perfect post-meal gathering place for all to unwind. (Not every mountain view is as open and grand!) The spaciousness between houses and other people provides complete privacy without needing to draw the drapes, all while feeling totally secure. The private dining room has a large 8-place table that can easily fit more people if needed, and the cozy wood-paneled den has a true wood-burning fireplace, perfect for conversations, small group gatherings, or just escaping away with music or a book. The dual staircases that lead to the second floor are well thought out; the back staircase allows one to sneak inside and outside of the house directly or down to the kitchen for a snack undetected. The main formal staircase provides normal traffic flow and quick access to the upstairs from the center of the house and foyer. The first-floor powder room is a nice size and tucked away for unnoticed use from the main gathering spaces. With capacious bedrooms, bathrooms, and closets, the upstairs rooms are spaced apart enough for ultimate privacy, while the full 2nd-floor laundry room makes that task convenient for all guests. Plenty of space to gather for all, and many places to hide away in privacy. This house was meticulously set up (by the management team ) for complete convenience and comfort, and with everything already there waiting for our party (of two couples) to enjoy immediately, nothing was needed the entire stay; all amenities were already fully supplied, so the “front deck” never had to be contacted. That alone makes for a wonderful vacation experience! Looking forward to returning to this same property next time in Sun Valley, no need to look any further.

Skiing in Sun Valley

In cold weather, this section of Northern Idaho turns into a winter wonderland. From your cozy ski condo, pack your skis and head to Bald Mountain for 3,400 vertical feet of slopes or the hundreds of perfectly groomed backcountry trails for nordic skiing and snowshoeing adventures. Breathe in the crisp mountain air and enjoy the laid-back nature of a Sun Valley ski vacation - uncrowded slopes, few lines, and a welcoming vibe.

Like its next door neighbor, Ketchum, Sun Valley also enjoys a close proximity to popular, sun-bathed Dollar Mountain - featuring perfect slopes for beginner to intermediate downhill skiers and snowboarders, cross-country skiing, the Sun Valley Nordic and Snowshoe Center, winter sleigh rides, and fine alpine-inspired dining at Konditorei at the lodge. You can even enjoy a freshly prepared four-course meal and then strap on your snowshoes for a moonlit walk after one of the full moon dinners at nearby Galena Lodge.

Outdoor activities in Sun Valley

Of course, summertime brings just as much activity to this part of Idaho! You can ride up the lifts at Bald Mountain and cruise down on mountain bikes or just leisurely hike down while taking in all the sights. There's even paragliding off of Mt. Baldy for the daredevils. And it's no secret that Sun Valley is surrounded by some of the most breathtaking trout streams in the world. You may just want to rent some gear and try your luck catching your own dinner! Bring your prize back to prepare for a scrumptious dinner in your vacation rental's fully equipped kitchen.

Things to do in Sun Valley

Year-round, there's live music at the Sun Valley Pavilion, a blossoming arts scene, and annual festivals. Visitors in September can attend the Sun Valley Harvest Festival - the area's signature food and fine event. Other highlights include Crosstoberfest, a mix of cyclocross bike racing and beer, the annual Nordic Festival in late January/early March, and the Sun Valley Film Festival in March.
