Beautiful ocean view and great location on quieter side of Isle of Palms. The unit was well stocked (garbage bags, dishwasher soap, ziplocks, spices etc) which was much appreciated. Very satisfied - all around great place to stay and an excellent experience. Thanks

This condo was perfect- super close to the beach (5 minute walk max), lots of restaurants, shopping, and a quick drive into Charleston. Each room had their own connecting bathroom which was great! Kitchen and decks were all spacious. The only thing I wish there was was some laundry detergent and folding chairs for the beach. They do have hair dryers, plenty of dishes and cooking utensils. Clean and comfortable. We are already figuring out a return trip!

PROS: This is the fifth time we have rented this home. It has a well stocked kitchen but if you are doing a low country boil for more than about four people, you will not have a big enough pot. Last year, we had some communication issues with the local agency but this year they were on top of it. A big shout out to Kevin who assisted us with accessing local programing on the television. It's always nice to get local weather at the beach. The house easily slept our 8 in comfortable beds and there was plenty of seating at the dining room table for a round of cards, plenty of towels and starter supply of soaps, and dish liquid . It's an easy walk to both the beach and the pool. Perfectly situated. No need to leave the island unless you need a pharmacy. There are plenty of places to eat and a wonderfully convenient grocery store. CONS: For two years in a row, the door code that we were given through both email and text did not work. After a long wait on the phone, I finally talked to a real person and it was reset. Opened like a charm. (It's very frustrating after a lengthy trip and when you have groceries that need refrigeration to jump through hoops to get a working code.) The landscaping needs some attention. It appears that it is being neglected. Poison ivy and Virginia Creeper need to be cleaned out. With that being said, I still give this house five stars.

Where are our Isle of Palms vacation rentals?

The city of Isle of Palms rests on a barrier island of the same name, just 18 miles from Charleston and about 130 miles from Columbia. These long stretches of beach provide a natural habitat for sea turtles—if you’re lucky, you just may catch local licensed professionals assisting these tiny creatures in their journey to the ocean.

Things to do near our Isle of Palms beach rentals

There are a number of ways to explore the area around our Isle of Palms beach house rentals and condos. Cruise the streets on a moped, courtesy of Port City Mopeds, as you stop along the boutique shops and ice creameries. In fact, the island is very walkable, and you’ll see many pedestrians, cyclists, and even golf carts roaming the quiet streets.

When it’s time to get in the water, head to Isle of Palms County Park, where you’ll find a grassy patch with a playground, picnic tables, and parking. A short boardwalk connects you to soft sands and warm, gentle waves perfect for splashing or for kids learning to surf. Spend your days building sandcastles, bingeing your newest page turner, or enjoying a homemade picnic whipped up in your Isle of Palms vacation rental.

If you just can’t get enough of that blue ocean, a number of local companies provide fishing charters, boat rentals, and even eco-tours. Whether you’re looking for a romantic sailboat charter at sunset, or an informational family excursion exploring nearby barrier islands, there’s something for every taste.

A trip to adjacent Sullivan’s Island is a must for history buffs, where you can tour Fort Moultrie, which played a role in both the American Revolution and the Civil War. Afterwards, head to the nearby beaches or to Poe’s Tavern, a literary-themed eatery with delicious burgers and craft beers.

Be sure to stop by the seasonal Isle of Palms Farmers’ Market for local produce, baked goods, preserves, and to catch some live entertainment by local musicians. Our Isle of Palms beach rentals and condos feature fully-equipped kitchens, so you can try your hand at a new recipe with local ingredients or fresh-caught seafood.

If you want to pamper yourself you can head to Beach House Spa, located inside a cozy cottage. Treat yourself to a massage, body scrub, or facial—or all three—and feel the worries of everyday life melt away. A visit to nearby Charleston will surround you with even more luxury, from high-end dining to designer clothing stores.
