Upon our arrival, we had to head straight to the local market to buy cleaning supplies to clean the cabin: candles and Lysol to get rid of the odor (old vacant home). Bed Headboards were dusty, kitchen is falling apart. Stiff - Dirty dish towels found in one of the drawers. Huge spiders, furniture dusty with animal hair. It has potential but very disappointed! We were given a working vacuum the following day and was informed a new one had been ordered. We were given 3 clean dish towels and 3 detergent pods. Ghost in the house? That’s what the guest book said. Quite a bit of demon and angel books? Unfortunately, this has been the worst experience during our 15 years of renting vacation homes. I rent to relax not to arrive and clean the place I will be renting. Unfortunate! Very disappointed. Again it has potential- not sure about the attic with 4 beds.

Our family enjoyed the well equipped cabin. It was like being in two areas. Front of cabin faces quaint town of Shaver Lake and the back porch looked out to wilderness. All the grandchildren fit around the table and they enjoyed the third floor with all th3 beds. Great cabin.

Lots of beds for everyone

This house is AMAZING! The only thing I would say to people with small children is to keep them from going to the very top floor. It is a VERY dangerous place for little ones. Overall though, it was clean, well stocked, HUGE and we loved the spacious deck and easy access to the little town there.

Closest place to all the restaurants yet isolated enough for no complaints from neighbors.
A little hot in the summer with no a/c, so you should bring a box or window fan.

Stores are close by and lovely setting and space

The location of the property was best. Near to lake and near to small market place. Very comfortable and cozy property. No Wifi makes vacation gadgets free , thats the best part.

It is very close to many things in Shaver and not that far from Huntington.

I would like to say that the cabin is in a great location. I think housekeeping needs to do a better job at cleaning. There was a slow toilet leak in both bathrooms before we arrived. The outdoor grill had piles of grease on it. It would be a great can in if it was maintained better.
Manager response:
We are sorry our guest did not seem to have a better experience with us and their accommodations. We have followed-up with housekeeping, the toilets have received new flappers, and we have ensured the grills are clean. Thank you!

Close to town.

Location was great. But the cabin had a very strong smell of propane coming from the laundry room, I was told propane would be provided for the grill but it wasn’t. And to finish off, when we arrived we found a pair of men underwear laying on the floor of one of the rooms!!
Manager response:
We are sorry to see there were a few disappointments with this stay. We did reimburse this guest for their purchase of the propane, and we apologize that step was even necessary. We have followed-up with housekeeping about checking all closets for guest belongings. Thank you!

We rented this amazing cabin for 4 couples and 2 men and had a great time. We were playing int the Shaver Lake Water Polo tournament Friday, Sat and Sunday. One night we went to the Pub and Grub for beers and dinner and Saturday night we stayed in and ordered Pizza. The rooms were very clean, spacious and accommodating. Great living room, dining room, kitchen, patio and scenic area. I would highly recommend using this cabin for your next vacation.

Our whole family was there for thanksgiving holiday. Everyone had a great time! We had a nature scavenger hunt for the kids and a gingerbread decorating contest. Nice way to kick off the holidays. Just make sure you take everything you need the little liquor store was pricey.

It was the first time we took a family trip and we chose the right place. We had enough space and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The lake was close by; we chose to drive to the lake where we rented kayaks and a boat. The only negative part was a power outage down the entire street and a few of us ended up leaving a day early, but overall the place was great! The youngest was 5 years old and the oldest member of our family was 77.
