It was perfect for our young family! Twinkly lights, baby gates, a playground, dog friendly! The best.

Everything about this house is great! It’s located in a great location, not too close to neighbors. It came fully stocked with everything we needed. The bbq was clean and even had backup propane. The yard was huge! The hot tub being screened in was perfect for keeping bugs out. The bed was so comfortable in the master. And the house itself was spotless. There’s also a really cute bar a couple miles away, as well as a convenient store. Overall 10/10. I will definitely be back!

We really enjoyed this bright and airy home in the mountain.
Loads of windows to look out, a play structure for the littles, and a hot tub to soak in the evenings. Kitchen well stocked for whatever you want to cook, and plenty of room to put your food away out of sight! Recommend this for 4-6 people. Nice neighbors too!

Excellent access to the Sandy River in a secluded setting. This was our third stay in the home, and we'll be back again.

We loved the hot tub while the pup loved doing laps in the yard, the fireplace was a great way to wind down while watching Netflix at night. We will be back!

Very pleasant stay in a rustic forest setting but with all the amenities and comforts. Spacious living area, well equipped kitchen, and great views of the surrounding forest. Especially enjoyed the covered hot tub in the rain after a day cross country skiing on Mt. Hood. Close to the Skyway for good food, drinks, and live music.

The cabin was spacious and fit our party of 8 well! We were even able to bring our furry friend along! Loved the hot tub, open living room and kitchen, and location. Close to hiking and about 30 minute drive to Mt Hood skiing areas. Also provided just about anything you could need in the kitchen: it was fully stocked with cooking pots/pans. Would visit again!

The house was large and beautiful. I loved the jacuzzi area (although I was shocked that it is not in closed off in glass since it was misleading in the photos )
The house has not been deep cleaned in a long time. We found spider webs in corners and all of our bedding we had to wash due to so much pet hair. Floors had stains.
The bathroom upstairs is way to loud for any person sleeping in the bedroom downstairs.

The house is large and beautiful otherwise and we had a nice time.

Loved the space - felt cozy, but with enough room for all of us to have space. The screened-in porch was the best! And the fire-pit and big yard were such a nice bonus. Amazing!

This was truly an amazing property. Looks exactly how it’s pictured was extremely clean and came with additional unexpected amenities like firewood, games, Netflix and more! The beds were perfect for our two families and they even provided pet blankets for our dog! The kitchen had everything you needed to cook full meals and there was a covered parking spot. Even better was the covered porch and hot tub. The house was a short walk to hiking trails and the sandy river. Also the customer service thru Vacasa was impeccable, when I called to add my dog they were so helpful and accommodating. Check in & out directions were easy to follow! We will definitely be back and will definitely use Vacasa directly to book this and other homes in the future.

First of all, there is NO air conditioning here !!!
It was in the 90's when we arrived and everyone was dripping with sweat. 2 fans in the entire home. Whew. It would have been amazing in the winter months.
NEXT , some of the roads here are gravel and it was very strange driving to a home down dusty gravel roads. We thought we were lost. We aren't from Oregon.
The home is big & nice but not what you see in the photos on the vacation website. Yard is nearly as big as it looks and it
wasn't taken care of. Hot tub area was very dirty and worn. Maybe because of those roads ?
There are child gates at the top & bottom of the stairs. Nice idea.
I would stay again but not at the price we paid. Overall, we had a great family visit.
Manager response:

Loved the location. The Sandy River was a short walk away and the hot tub was a wonderful way to unwind after a day of exploring.

This is our 3rd year of renting a home from Vacasa in the Welches/Brightwood/Rhododendron area. It was definitely the best! Very spacious great room with soaring ceilings and windows all around for beautiful woodsy views. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans, glasses, mugs, flatware - we had more of everything we needed for our week long stay. The hot tub (which we cooled down to 90 due to the very hot weather) was a big hit. One of my comments, when we first walked in, was how accurate all the photos on the website were - what you see there is what you get, and that is not always the case. We definitely hope to stay here again next summer when my family comes to the area to visit.

We loved the quietness of the cabin and the decor was nice , a few things needed fixed or cleaned which weren't addressed before our stay but overall was a nice place to get away

Chateau D'Dodendron was a great base camp for all the fun activity the Mt.Hood Region has to offer. The kitchen, hot tub, fire pit, and grill made our stay! House was super clean and stocked with all the amenities we needed for the 4 days we were there.
Paul and Jennifer M. May 2018
Well ready for our week long honeymoon . Had every touch we could ask for. Remote enough to not hear any cars pass but close enough to go to the movies in town.

This cabin was beautiful, it was very family and pet friendly and the owner has great style. If I could buy this house I would. We can’t wait to rent this place again!!

Beautiful home with nice hot tub. Our family will definitely return.
