Megeve Chalet August 28th to 30th 2019:
At first impression the house is very cute, but issues came to light as the stay went on. The hot tub was was cool 90 degrees and locked. The upstairs bathtub only had a shower head, it was taped up where the faucet should have been. The downstairs bath tub was shocking...literally. When you put your hand under the water while it was running, you got shocked.

We had to wait until morning to call Vacasa office about these issues. They resolved the hot tub temperature issue but never received a call back concerning the electrical shock we experienced in the downstairs bathroom.

The handyman that we spoke to tried to accommodate our needs but told us he would take notes and pass them to management.

Due to the health hazards we experienced and almost a full day and night without hot tub use (which was one of the amenities we prioritize while making our reservation), I would not recommend this place to stay in the future.
Manager response:
Michele, Thank you for the feedback from your recent stay. We apologize for the inconvenience that you and your guests may have experienced during the stay with the hot tub and electrical issues. We have brought your feedback to the attention of the local staff. The tub mentioned in your review has been assessed by a Licensed Electrician and has been fixed. We hope to have an opportunity to host you in the future.

My husband and I had one night kid free to sneak away to Girdwood/anchorage from Fairbanks to relax and also handle some paperwork. We invited our close friends to come and join for a little “staycation. I originally had booked a different property with booking.com but was shortly after emailed that there was a technical issue and we would need to book a different chalet. So we decided to go ahead and book the Megeve chalet since it was the only option they offered that still included a hot tub even though it was roughy $40 more expensive than the original place we had reserved. Check in was running a little behind but a really nice gentleman named Matt called and explained they needed more time and so we decided to have dinner first. No big deal. After meeting Matt and receiving the key to our place we immediately got our suits on and headed to the tub, unfortunately after lifting the cover it was obvious it had not been cleaned. At this point due to later check in etc. the office was closed and even after calling the after hours number there was nothing that could be done. While that did put a huge damper on our one night stay, the house itself was great. It was clean the beds were comfortable the views were awesome. Had things gone more smoothly and the hot tub been cleaned I would have definitely given them 5 stars, but between the change in reservation, the late check in, and the dirty tub.. 3 stars is all I can do. I will still definitely always recommend them because Matt was so nice and he made sure to take care of the issues we had even if it was not in time for us to enjoy the hot tub.
Manager response:
We are sorry for what you experienced with the hot tub, check-in, and change in reservation. We are happy to report that our customer service team was able to resolve this with you. We want to thank you for your feedback, and look forward to hosting you again soon!

I have rented this house twice now and enjoyed it both times. Good location, in town, right between the slopes and Crow Creek... Owner allows pets and the place has been clean and easy to book, check-in and out.

The views are amazing and it had everything we needed from the outdoor hot tub to plastic wine glasses. One of our guests said this was the best we've stayed in. We'd love to stay here again!

We loved that you can walk to the slopes from this home and it has great space to dry clothes and gear when you walk in. The open kitchen and living area is wonderful and comfortable for family time but the 1970s stove and 1980s pans make cooking challenging. The awesome outdoor hot tub was much appreciated after a long day.

Not a first time we stay here. Great place with walking distance to the lift gate.

This house was great except that it is not a home you should rent if you plan to cook anything significant while there. The range is very old, was difficult to figure out how to operate, and only has one working burner.

This is a great location that's decently close to the slopes. We enjoyed having the sleeping areas on different levels to give everyone their space - which definitely helps with a toddler and dogs! The living room is a nice common area with space for everyone. You can't beat the hot tub in the winter time, and the entryway area downstairs made for an easy transition in/out from the hot tub. The only negatives were a lack of wifi and somewhat small kitchen, and we missed having a toaster! If those aren't deal-breakers for you (and they weren't for us!), this is a great place to stay!

This was a well-outfitted, roomy chalet. The house has a fireplace, laundry,
hot tub, as well as ski racks. We enjoyed the view of the mountain lights and the close proximity to skiing - no driving necessary. The multi- level floor plan allowed for some separation of people. The open loft upstairs bedroom was something I had not noticed online, so the night owls had to curtail their habits a bit. :) We were there over Christmas and would return again.

We loved the layout and openness of the rental. It was cozy, in a great location, and had all of the amenities we wanted. Would definitely stay there again.
