Very roomy, clean and comfortable

Beautiful views, amazing antiques and everything we needed is included at Laughing Loon Lodge. The beds were especially comfortable for a good night’s sleep. During this COVID-19 time, it was helpful that the kitchen was fully stocked with kitchen utensils so we didn’t have to run to the grocery store. One note: the steps down to the water are quite steep. We are at an age where our knees are beginning to hurt, and this was a bit of a challenge for us. But it was worth it as this is a beautiful lake, great for fishing, swimming and boating.

This house, circa early 20th century, is charming. It is roomy, well equipped and well maintained, The water in Crawling Stone Lake provides wonderful swimming. Fishing for pan fish gave us delicious meals. We had a wonderful time there and hope to return next summer

Location is amazing. Private, wooded lot close enough to conveniences but far enough out to really feel “Up North”. I can’t imagine a place having a better waterfront location than this cabin had. Shallow, sand entry, yet deep enough off the dock to jump off or tie up a big boat.

The cabin has been clearly loved by the family for generations and it shows in all of the antiques and family history you can see throughout the house. The music collection and board games kept us entertained on evenings inside.

The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, all seem to be new and in great condition. The set-up of rooms and number of beds works well for several families with kids. The bathrooms and kitchen were well stocked, there wasn’t a single thing we needed that wasn’t there!

We had a problem getting into garage to access Kayak paddles and garbage cans so we contacted the maintenance man who was out there in a very timely manner to help us out. He let us know if any issues came up to contact him. This was extremely helpful.!

The only cons I can think of are the lack of AC, but being on the lake I imagine provides a nice, cool breeze most of time. Just be prepared if you’re up there when it’s 90-95 degrees outside like we were, the nights can get warm and sticky. The lack of kitchen counter space was also tricky. We had a large group and lots of food so counter and prep space was needed.

We would absolutely stay at this cabin again. Everything went so smoothly and everyone in our group had a great time. We made wonderful memories at this cabin as I’m sure many more have done. I would recommend it.

A perfect stay in a 1920s (?) house This place has clearly been loved and cared for by a family for a long time. I wouldn't change a thing. Kayaking, swimming, sitting by a fire or just sitting on the porch are all right at your door.

This cabin has lots of character and was a very comfortable place to visit in the heart of winter. It was freezing outside but warm and cozy inside. We enjoyed our stay!
