This three-level home sits half a mile from the base of Soda Springs Resort, the longest running ski resort in California and a wonderful destination for families with children. You'll have access to the Planet Kids snow playground, the 20 runs at Tube Town, and 15 ski and snowboard trails, yet you'll also be just seven miles from the shores of Donner Lake and 13 miles west of Truckee.

Sunshine pours in through the living room windows, creating a bright, welcoming, and scenic living space that's great for unplugging from stressful emails. Come home from a day on the slopes to curl up by the gas-powered fireplace, or watch a family favorite on the wall-mounted flatscreen TV.

Whip up a few appetizers or get a head start on dinner in the kitchen, an open and beautiful space with granite countertops, a gas range, and a dishwasher to make your stay easy and stress-free. The dining room table offers seating for eight.

Spend your days soaking in the sun on one of the tree-lined decks while you admire the mountain views all around you. Each night, your family can retreat to the den to play board games or choose a DVD to watch on the second flatscreen TV.

With three bedrooms and four full bathrooms, the Lotta Crab Treehouse will accommodate as many as 14 people. The main level features two bedrooms - one with a queen-size bed, balcony access, and an en suite bathroom, and one with a twin bed and a set of twin-over-full bunk beds.

The spacious master suite on the upper level has a queen-size bed, a sleeper sofa, access to a balcony, and an en suite bathroom with a jetted tub. Downstairs, you'll find two sleeper sofas in the family room, a full bathroom, a private sauna, a laundry room, and access to the garage.

A fantastic destination for families and snow sports novices, Soda Springs Resort is the perfect combination of scenery, convenience, and outdoor fun. In the snowy winter months, you'll be blocks from Planet Kids, Tube Town, and the base of the Crystal Bowl and Lion's Head Chairlifts. You'll also find the lovely slopes of Sugar Bowl Resort just four miles down the road.

Living room is spacious and cozy, electric fireplace looks almost like natural. Kitchen is big and well organized. Bedrooms are small, but we came not to stay in beds. Dry sauna - best place after long day. Hot tub would be grate too (saw it on pictures but not on the deck).
Also would be grate to have some chairs and coffee table on the front deck.
House is clean, nice and nit - met all our expectations. We had a really wonderful time there.
We've already booked it again.

Rented while attending our sons wedding and there were 6 adults and 6 children that stayed in cabin. Accommodations were great for a large group but don’t depend on the internet/WiFi because it was very unsatisfactory, you could connect but it didn’t work at all.
Some simple basics were lacking too , no hot pad holders, no spatula, trash was still in bear box from previous week and when you have 12 people ( including 2 toddlers in diapers) there is trash‼️ Luckily we had brought a whole bag of kitchen trash can liners. Also bring paper towels the 1/2 roll that was there when we arrived didn’t last long
It also would have been nice to at least have a chair or two so you could enjoy the 4 beautiful outdoor balconies .

Very nice place to stay.

It's good and clean, but I thing this house very good for Winter season, so don't have air conditioner and we feel a little bit hot
at night. But Thank you.

This is a beautiful home. We loved staying here and the dry sauna was an added bonus. Note though, it is a lot closer to the highway than I expected and you definitely can hear the highway noise at night.

I have made a good choice

This house is solidly mediocre - with minimal decorations and a seriously substandard kitchen, the place is saved by a large sauna and heated bathroom floors. The location is great if you are skiing at Soda Springs and not bothered by the sounds from the adjacent freeway. There are plenty of beds, but they aren't particularly comfortable. This is definitely not a house for the serious cook. The equipment is very minimal. Only one cutting board, no real pasta strainer, mish mash of pots and not well organized. Bring your own pepper, as the house lacks even the most basic of spices.

With all the negatives, overall we had a great stay - enjoying the living room fireplace, ample seating, and convenient location.

We had a group of exactly 14 people (all friends) and it fit all of us with plenty of room to share. Loved that it Was so close to Boreal Resort since we rented it to go snowboarding. The private sauna after a long day of snowboarding was the perfect addition. Big kitchen and big bathrooms too.
Will most deff stay here again!

Beds and pillows are horrible. Literally felt like sleeping on cardboard! Needs a deep cleaning too. The biggest disappointment was arriving and finding out they took out the hot tub because it apparently broke earlier in the year! No one emailed us about it or called. Only refunded us $100 for the 3 nights we were there, and we payed almost 3k. Not cool.

This house is perfect for two families with kids. And since it’s close to the freeway you have so many options for exploring.

It's a very nice house to stay.

Beautiful house, really loved everything about the house!!

It is a nice house with everything you might need for your stay. Sauna and hot tub are very nice additions and make your stay more fun and relaxing. Only downside is that there's no internet or cable and DVD selection is very poor, and proximity to the freeway. Gets pretty loud at night. Despite these things, this was our second stay and would be happy to comeback.

Positives: the house is huge. Plenary of room for at least 10 people . Four bathrooms, plenty of space to sleep. Three story. Beatuful view
Negatives there is NO internet and NO wifi. Just know this and you will be fine. Also, signal strength for your phone is "iffy"

We really loved this house! Excellent location, beautiful nature around. Yes, it is close to the freeway 80, but we still slept very well after spending the cold evening in the sauna and hot tub. Both adults and kids loved the rooms, the kitchen and the living room - warm and nice, with lots of light coming in through large windows. Fireplace added an excellent relaxation to the evening conversation at the living room. We would definitely recommend this house to our friends and family.

Beautiful, spacious and clean home with great amenities including a laundry room, hot tub and sauna. It was a wonderful stay for our group of 14 and Nikki with Vacasa was very helpful in finding a great hike nearby. I highly recommened this home!
