Things to Do in Carnelian Bay
A small town on the shores of Lake Tahoe, Carnelian Bay promises a relaxing respite from everyday life. However, you'll never be bored when you stay here! From outdoor activities year-round to eclectic shops and delicious restaurants to the annual Concours d'Elegance wooden boat show, there's something for everyone.
While each of our vacation rentals includes a full kitchen or kitchenette for homemade meals, there are a handful of delicious eateries in town that are perfect for a night out. Experience the fan favorite and ever popular Gar Woods Grill and Pier, a lakefront restaurant where you can valet your boat, or stop by CB's Pizza for a hot slice. Rent a kayak or paddleboard at Waterman's Landing, but make sure to grab a latte and a sandwich before you head out to the lake!
Outdoor Attractions in Carnelian Bay
Many of our Carnelian Bay homes boast a lakefront location and include awe-inspiring views of magnificent Lake Tahoe. Once you're lured outside by the beautiful weather and crystal waters, you'll find two state beaches along the lake to play on nearby - Patton Beach and Carnelian Bay Beach. Both beaches are pet friendly and both are great places to pack a picnic and watch the sun set at the end of the day.
Kayaking, fishing, swimming, and even polar bear plunging are favorite pastimes here. If you are visiting sans boat, North Tahoe Watersports in Kings Beach - located three and a half miles east - offers plenty of water toys to rent. From paddleboats to pedal boats, kayaks to jet skis, you'll find whatever you're looking for at this well-known shop. You can even book a parasailing adventure or charter a boat to fish for those Mackinaw trout lurking below. Although the area is known for its numerous ski resorts, Lake Tahoe summers are not to be missed!
Carnelian Woods Condos
When you stay at one of our picturesque Carnelian Woods townhomes, you'll have access to even more recreational activities on-site, including a miniature golf course, par course, volleyball courts, tennis courts, rec center and spa, horseshoe pits, and a seasonal pool! For our spontaneous and nocturnal guests, head approximately five miles east and cross the California/Nevada border. Once you're in Nevada, you'll find plenty of casino fun and a vibrant nightlife that awaits you in Crystal Bay.
No matter what brings you to Lake Tahoe, you'll find plenty of reasons to return when you stay in one of our lakeside vacation homes in the heart of Carnelian Bay!
