Private hot tub, shared pool, and ocean views at this peaceful Sea Ranch home!

Plan an escape to the gorgeous Northern California Coast with a stay at this three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom Sea Ranch vacation home! Relax in the private hot tub while you gaze out at the Pacific Ocean or stay warm and cozy inside while you read a favorite book.

On the westside of Highway 1 and just a short walk from Shell Beach, you'll be able to enjoy the peace and serenity of the ocean year-round. Groceries and a handful of restaurants are about five miles away in Gualala and you can find wine tasting at the Annapolis Winery just under 12 miles southeast.

When you step inside this home, you'll be greeted by tall ceilings and clean, bright modern lines. There is a mix of hardwood floors and carpeting and comfortable furniture to sink into at the end of the day.

Entertainment amenities include cable TV and WiFi (but please be aware that Internet and cell service can be spotty), but of course, with such a lovely ocean view, you might find yourself happy to just take in the view.

The full kitchen has everything you need for home-cooked meals. There's a gas range, oven, dishwasher, and plenty of counter space to whip up some fish tacos for dinner or buttermilk pancakes for breakfast. And when it's time to eat, you'll have more than enough seating at the dining room table and the breakfast bar.

Please note that entry for this space is through the garage only, and there's a washer/dryer so that you can keep up on laundry.

While at Sea Ranch you can explore the Bluff Trail, walk down to Shell Beach, or get out on the green at the Sea Ranch Golf Links. Neighboring Gualala to the north offers two grocery stores, restaurants, and some shops/galleries. Stop by Trinks Cafe in the morning for a latte and a muffin or pick up a pie at Upper Crust Pizzeria.

Mendocino is a fun day trip about 54 miles away. Or, you might want to just stay put and enjoy exploring Sea Ranch by trail. Walk through Monarch Glen or head to one of three Recreation Centers for seasonal pools and tennis.

No matter how you spend your Sea Ranch getaway, this contemporary Serenity vacation retreat in coastal Sonoma County will make everyone feel right at home!

This is the third time we have stayed here in five years and this house is great. Centrally located (near the trails!), great layout and great for our family. The local Vacasa office is FANTASTIC and super helpful.

This was possibly our 8th Thanksgiving at Serenity. It continues to be a place of beauty and relaxation. A true HOME, well stocked beyond the basics...comfy beds...nice towels...ample cutlery and dishes. In a word: perfect.

Everyting was perfect except that the directions to the house and to the rental agency to pick up the packet were very vague and without GPS (no internet service on the road in that area) it was time consuming and irritating. Even though we had the address of the rental office if was hidden away in a complex that took a long time to find. Simple additions to the GETTING THERE part of email instructions would solve this.

From the broad expanse of windows and sliding doors you look out at a meadow and the ocean, with almost no other houses
in sight. Trails near the house take you down to Shell of the nicest at Sea Ranch. We saw whales and a bobcat !
Kitchen was well equipped, nice wood fire.
Both bedrooms are large and comfortable, but the master BR is dark and gloomy. This could be remedied if owner let you raise the blinds over full length windows and sliders..BUT blinds are unworkable and owners have put a sign on the curtains in the adjacent "solarium" "do NOT open curtains !" Don't know why! It would make a world of difference. If you are thinking of renting this home, I suggest you ask if that problem has been
The solarium is a great feature if you have children with you.
Books, games.
We highly recommend this house with the reservations as mentioned above.
Manager response:
Hi, Marion. Thank you for staying with us and telling us of your experience. We did have to ask guests not to open the curtains since the curtain rod was repeatedly being broken. We are working on a permanent solution for this and apologize any inconvenience this caused you. We hope to see you again!

4 sleeping areas, 3 bathrooms, well-appointed kitchen and a 2 car garage, everything was clean and in good working order

Serenity is a great vacation house, with a very well equipped kitchen, roomy bedrooms, a nice hot tub and deck, and a great location near Shell Beach and the coastal trail. We will definitely be coming back.

This home provides a space to unwind and relax. The views of the meadow are vast. There are deer, fox, racoons and rabbits playing about the property, which provides an opportunity to get lost in the moment. The kitchen is great; the beds are quite comfortable. I would say the room The deck has a great BBQ grill and the patio furnishings are quite comfortable. I've been renting large homes at the Sea Ranch, 1-2 times per year, for the last 25 years and this is on my list of favorites. The art, ambiance and landscape are woven seamlesly together to play host to an amazing get away!!

Fantastic Views of white water, wildlife, and sunsets. Very close to the bluff trail and seal rookery. Upstairs cozy bedroom was a real hit with my 9 yr old. Solarium was a wonderful quiet place in the home. Window seat with a book and that view was a favorite spot. Kitchen had everything we needed. BBQing dinner on the deck with the great views was amazing. Would stay here again.

So close to a great little beach that's so kid friendly with a playground very close by.

Amazingly clean and well stocked. A group of friends and I stayed over a rainy weekend. Extremely cozy and beautiful, couldn’t have asked for more.

I enjoyed the spaces....two living rooms which allows two groups of people to enjoy different activities simultaneously. The home was equipped with spices beyond necessary....a surprise and not one I imagined. The main living room was beautiful and inspired a calm....amazing lighting throughout the home. Great place for adults.

Great hot tub/deck space open to grassy area! Bed configuration was a little tricky with young kids.

I really enjoyed our stay at Serenity. The bedroom setup is a bit confusing, but worked great for us. There's one spacious queen bedroom, with a shared bathroom right outside it, one king bedroom with a large private bathroom attached to it, a "solarium" (second living room that used to be an deck, I think, and got walled off) with a futon / sofa bed in it, and a tiny bedroom with a double bed up some stairs from the garage. To use the bathroom from that room, you go down the stairs into the garage, then enter the house through the back of the garage, and the bathroom is next to the kitchen.

The solarium actually has sliding glass doors separating it from the master bedroom, but they're covered with thick blackout curtains on both sides, and surprisingly well sound isolated; it seems odd, but it works great.

The kitchen is one of the best ones I've used at Sea Ranch, in many years -- well equipped, spacious pantry, good pots and pans, etc.

The living room has a nice little pot belly stove as a fireplace that works great.

The hot tub is large, comfortable, and in a great location off the living room.

Dining table expands to seat six comfortably.

Location is near perfect -- just a couple of minute walk from the beach.

We have rented Serenity at least 7 times in a row for Thanksgiving, and it's the BEST house. It feels like a HOME, not a vacation rental. This house is loved by its owners, and it shows everywhere, from beautiful decor to an amazingly well-stocked kitchen. We just adore staying at Serenity!
Tenisha L. Sep 2018
I read other reviews before even booking this place. I seen it had some negative reviews and I have got to say don't listen to the bad reviews! It was fully stocked and had everything we needed plus more! No annoying neighbors & my son who is 4 years old had so much fun. Such a beautiful house & area! My family & I couldn't have had a better time! I fully recommend this house.
Tetyana M. Sep 2018
The house is absolutely perfect, with gorgeous views, perfectly stocked and decorated. We definitely will be back!
Myke J. Sep 2018
It was a very relaxing time with enuf room the family. Loved the close beach access & the sunsets were fantastic. It was a lovely get away but be warned, no dish towels or napkins, Take those with you. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that there is an obnoxious neighbor who watches every move you make & calls security on you for even little infractions. He ruined it for us. Kids were afraid to play outside out back!
Manager response:
We apologize we missed getting dish towels in the home for this guest and have rectified the issue. We've cared for this home for some time now and have never had a problem with the neighbors. If our guests are being respectful of boundaries and quiet hours, there will be no problem. Thank you!
Juan C. Aug 2018
The House was perfect for our family. Cozy, well appointed and well cared for.
Barbara B. Jul 2018
Nice views from living and dining area.
JOHN C. Jun 2018
Beautiful home in a beautiful location. The meadow had so much life with deer and fawns running around, birds swooping and frogs jumping. Shell beach is so nice and so close, we loved it.
Mary Anne H. Jun 2018
This home is old and is in need of repair and updating. The slider off of the dining room took two of us to open. Unacceptable. Upstairs room is out in the garage. The room is not built to code and it is not very tall. Can’t stand up in the room. We were overall very disappointed in the home for $370./night
Manager response:
We are disappointed to see this guest was not satisfied with their stay and wish they had reached out about the door as it was an easy fix. The pictures of the home do show the slanted ceilings of the upstairs bedroom; we apologize if this came as a surprise.

Really close to Shell Beach, and Seal Beach, and near One-eyed Jacks playground ... Master bedroom is huge, but dark with no view. Second bedroom is on front of house and really nice. Access to third bedroom is through garage up a flight of stairs, so not for everyone, but very private and cozy. There is a 4th room, called the Solariam that has a fold out couch and could work great for kids, or teens, or flexible adults. House is incredibly well stocked, living and dining room are great with great view. Great view from hot tub too!
Mark G. Jan 2018
Fantastic home that was perfect for our family of 3 teens, parents and friends. Instructions from owners and Vacasa were extremely thorough. Best stocked kitchen of two dozen rental homes we've stayed at over the years. Best of 4 Sea Ranch homes we've stayed at. Overall, great experience. Only criticism is that the 3rd bedroom is over the garage in a detached manner. Did not set up well for our kids.
Ellen F. Dec 2017
This house was beautiful, comfortable, and well-stocked. It felt like home, right away!
Jerry D. Oct 2017
Well equipped home, better suited for 4 adults and 4 children.
Marjorie G. Oct 2017
Large, spacious house with lots of room for many guests. Great views and very comfortable furniture.
Jack C. Sep 2017
Very happy we picked this spot for our reunion, 6 adults. The home was setup well to accommodate everyone for dining, inside and outside, as well as reclining in the beautiful living room, with a sea view.
Joseph L. Aug 2017
This was a really nice home at Sea Ranch for our family trip. The two main bedrooms were really nice and big with comfortable beds.
There were plentiful clear instructions for everything and the kitchen was well stocked. It had the best hot tub of all the homes we've rented. The home was spacious and open with a great window seat for relaxing and enjoying the view. There was a really nice wood stove that was easy to use and kept us warm in the evening.
It was a very short walk to get to the bluff and Shell Beach. The seal viewing area was really close as well.
You have to access the loft through a separate entrance through the garage and it is enclosed and doesn't open out into the main living space so it's private. However the space is pretty small and the ceiling is low but it worked well for our preteen.
The home seems good for four adults with a few kids.
Overall, we really enjoyed staying here and would love to come back again.
Ayoka T. Aug 2017
The house is gorgeous, well stocked and in a great location. The great room was absolutely gorgeous! It is where we spent the majority of our time.

there were several frustrating missteps with Vacasa that caused more frustration than we wantd on our vacation. They were accessible but not always timely.

I would stay here again, but hope that vacasa can up their capacity to support the guests.
Emily H. Jul 2017
Beautiful sunset view from this house. Very short walk to the shell beach.
Moung S. Jun 2017
We are happy with our stay overall. We love the house inside and out especially it's close to the beach. We get to see the ocean view and the mountain views. We wish we were able to stay longer but one day and night was fulfilled. It's a great getaway home so you can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Wendy O. Jun 2017
Everything was wonderful. The house is lovely and we spent a lot of time on the deck and on the window seats. It's very conveniently located to town and the bluff trails. The kitchen was terrific - roomy and extremely well stocked with kitchenware, appliances, dishes, spices, etc.

One caveat: although the house can sleep 8 and the master & guest bedrooms & bathrooms are spacious and comfortable, the other two sleeping rooms are not nearly as nice. We had 2 couples and it was perfect, but more could be a problem. The loft above the garage & the pullout sofa in the solarium would be okay for kids, but I wouldn't have wanted to spend my vacation there.

So much to see, hear, smell, watch, do...!! Very relaxing. Nice to have even a little white water view to greet us each day. Deer, birds, gophers, a fox, a hare, one whale, and two otters at the mouth of the river! The seals are fun to watch. It was very windy some of the days, but hang on to your hat and get out there anyway. Oh, and be sure to pick up a trail map at the Association headquarters.
Barbara S. May 2017
We loved this house -- nice spot, great kitchen.
Doug S. Apr 2017
We have rented many homes in Sea Ranch and would rent this one again. The location is great with a nice view of a cove and rocks with crashing waves to keep you entertained. The kitchen is well equipped and the master bed was comfortable. Lots of DVDs and games are included. Nice spacious deck area with a hot tub with a view of the ocean.
William D. Mar 2017
Great view. Very comfortable home
