The View

Loved the beauty of the view. Peaceful quiet dead end road. House was the traditional rustic cape cod It was hot weather and though only two bedrooms had ac there were two fans that worked well to keep air flowing as needed. We weren’t able to swim in the water but enjoyed going to nearby beaches every day My so , two granddaughters and myself really enjoyed our stay. Wonderful restaurants nearby and a trip to the Wellfleet flea market made our stay even more pleasurable!

I absolutely loved watching the tidal shift outside your cottage.
The sunsets, the setting moon, the blue herons and egrets, the Wellfleet oyster fishermen provided unparalleled enjoyment.
Thank you!

Overall this is a fabulous place to stay. The view of the bay is beautiful and facing west provides a spectacular sunset. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck each morning and again in the evening with drinks of choice. The house is well-equipped and even has a large seafood steamer available to steam your own seafood of choice. There were ample towels which was nice. Bedrooms are a good size. Be aware there is only one small double bed with the remaining rooms equipped with twin beds. It would be nice to have at least one bedroom with a larger queen bed to accommodate taller guests. Bedrooms are air conditioned. My only suggestion to Vacasa would be to provide instructions for use of the TV remotes as they can be a bit confusing. If you are considering a stay at Sandpiper Hill I highly recommend it!

The location was great! A beautiful water view from the deck. Stairs bring you down to the water. The water is great for a paddle board or kayak but not for swimming. The bedroom with a full bed did not have AC-it needed it. Close to great resturants and beaches.

Beautiful view, excellent location. Swimming possible when the tide is in, digging for clams and messing around on the mudflats when the tide is out. Biggest problem is lack of AC in the house--available in one small upstairs bedroom only. Hot sleeping downstairs, even with the loud, large, old fan. Also the light comes in very bright right through the curtains and shades in the morning, so getting a good-night's sleep was tough, with the heat and the morning light. The upstairs living area has beautiful views of the water, but is extremely hot, especially in the afternoon (with no air coming in), so we spent no time there. There are kayaks in one of the pictures, but they are locked, so there are no boats of any kind available. Overall the location and view made up for these shortcomings.
Manager response:
Thank you for staying with us! We are glad to hear you enjoyed the home. This home, as per the listing, comes with partial air conditioning, not full air conditioning. We apologize for any inconvenience this caused during your stay. Please know our guest services team is available 24 hours a day to assist with any needs you may have while in the home. We hope you choose to book with us again!

My daughter, her girlfriend, my friend from Texas, and I all spent 4 nights at the Sandpiper Hill cottage in Wellfleet. We all loved the old cape cod charm of the home and the location was outstanding! Every window seemed to have a perfect view of the serene bayside water! The house itself is located on a dead end street so no cars driving by to cause added noise. We enjoyed the location so so much. What would have enhanced our stay is if we had access to the kayaks kept under the deck. Also- we thought there was a DVD player, but there was not one. Finally- we also thought there were a few air conditioner units if the night was exceptionally hot, but those too were not available. Overall- it was a perfect getaway for a few days. Super sunsets and charming home.

Very peaceful location, gorgeous at all times of the day. Cute, charming place but be aware it's a somewhat old family summer home and shows its age a bit.

Listed as 'not suitable for children' but the adorable loft rooms upstairs seem to me they'd ONLY be suitable for children.

The house was cozy and clean and a great spot to meet up with old friends -- and watch the sunset over the water.

Great location for our relaxing Ladies Getaway! Beautiful views, lovely walking paths, plenty beds, nice deck, books, stereo, tv/dvd, minutes to area beaches, shopping and restaurants.
