Luxurious, private home with golf-course views and a pergola
Bask in splendor at this lavish and opulent Kennebunkport vacation rental. A pond, golf-course views, sumptuous furnishings - carefully chosen by the co-owner - and an amazing pergola await your arrival. With five bedrooms over two stories, it's the perfect getaway for a large family reunion or a seaside trip with a group of friends. You'll admire the landscaping as soon as you drive up. There are a stone wall and a large front yard with a pond and fountain. Enter the living room and you're transported to another time. The room is colorful and ornate, with fuchsia walls and window valances, a comfortable white couch, and a plush chaise lounge. Sink your feet in the authentic Persian rug or prop up your feet on the zebra-striped ottoman as you watch TV. The vaulted ceiling seems to go on forever and evokes images of a palatial age. The wood-burning fireplace is the perfect spot to gather around on a cold Maine night.
The state-of-the-art kitchen would make any gourmand worth his weight in salt salivate in envy. There's a three-seat breakfast bar to enjoy an early-morning nosh, as well as a five-burner gas stove to craft your chef-worthy repast. Plentiful granite countertops mean you won't be bumping into your assistant when prepping a meal and it also affords many places to savor a glass of wine. And how can we forget the beautiful crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling? They make one feel as if he or she is in an ornate mansion. There are even a wet bar and two dishwashers making nights in a joy, and cleanup even a veritable breeze. A dining room with seating for eight amid gorgeous paintings and satin window treatments means a formal dinner is something that should be on your itinerary. There's also a family room with leather seating, a Persian rug, a four-seat striped dinette set, paintings galore, and a TV. There's also half bath down the hall. Exit from the kitchen and you'll find a large patio with plenty of seating and an extending canopy that can be used for cover. There's also an amazing pergola, a cascading lily pad pond, trellises, a statue, and plentiful grass to run around in.
What about the sleeping quarters, you ask? Well, there are five bedrooms to choose from on two floors. The main suite on the first floor is as lush and decadent as one would expect. It comes with a king bed in an ornate bed frame, a plush couch, embellished chairs, and vaulted ceilings. The en suite luxurious bathroom has to be seen to be believed. You'll find only the finest fixtures here, as well as a beautifully tiled standalone shower, a clawfoot tub, goddess statues, and a walk-in closet. There's even a bidet! An exposed staircase leads to the second story. Here you'll find four more bedrooms and another chaise lounge on the landing. The first bedroom has a king bed, a white chair, a full-length mirror, and a window seat for daytime reading when it rains. A third bedroom has a king bed, striped curtains, and a blue dresser, while a fourth bedroom has two queen beds, two pink chairs, and a skylight. To find the final bedroom, pass a private study with pink chairs and bookshelves. This space is above the garage and offers two queen beds and a large leather sofa as well as vaulted ceilings. There are two more bathrooms making this home ideal for up to 14 people.

Rat droppings in cabinets, bathrooms that were not clean. Flies everywhere. We did not enjoy this stay.
Our apologies to hear about the cleaning details that were amiss. We are working closely with our housekeeping team to ensure that they are paying close attention to detail while preparing for guests and following the current COVID-19 cleaning protocols. We hope you feel satisfied with the concession offered for your troubles. We hope to have another chance to impress you in the future!

Conveniently located, fantastic property.
Rick B.Aug 2020
We loved the ample amounts of space to accommodate large parties.

Perfectly located across the golf course and yet in secluded areas with lots of privacy. Close to everything in the area, gorgeous Kennebunkport center with lots of restaurants and bars and beautiful Gooch’s beach.
House is very spacious with plenty of bedrooms.
We had 3 small children and were concerned as we read other reviews that the house is not suited for children. All we needed to do was to move some beautiful artifacts from the reach of children.
They had so much fun running around the house and watching frogs in the pond.
Will certainly consider coming back.

This is a wonderful home in a great location. Only a few small issues or it would be 5 star. The grill was not operational, fortunately we had other options so did not grill, but it was not usable. The dishwasher was missing some of it's wheels so we had to jack it up for it to work properly. Other than that it, it was a great option for my family. I would highly recommend it.

We had a group of 12 for a bachelorette and the house was absolutely perfect for a group!

Plenty of space and interesting artefacts.

The photos on Vacasa tell the story of this “Victorian monstrosity”. Our group of 13 loved the house. Kitchen is great for large groups. House is long on living spaces and short on sleeping space. All but one bedroom were very tight and if you have more than four couples, you have to be prepared to share bedrooms. Also, with only 2 1/2 baths, there can be quite a waiting line. The house is a good 25 minute walk from downtown Kennebunkport and a drive to any beach.

This home is absolutely beautiful, both inside and out! This home is perfect for large groups (of adults only) as there are FIVE bedrooms and two of the bedrooms have two beds. Having THREE AND A HALF bathrooms also makes it comfortable for everyone to not have to share just one or two.
Location is close to town where there are plenty of stores and restaurants to choose from. It's close to several beaches.
Finding a place to park is a challenge and traffic moves slowly through town. But, follow the flow and you'll love it.

We were a group of 4 couples and it felt so much like home. We enjoyed a lot.

Great house to stay in for a larger family or group gathering . Has a nice large open kitchen and living room space to entertain and the beds are very comfortable . The house is immaculately clean .

The house was perfect for our group! It's extravagant, but cozy at the same time. There is plenty of sitting and gathering space, the fire pit out back was our favorite spot. Location of the house is perfect, it's a quick drive into town. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Spent a wedding weekend in Kennebunkport at this house and loved every aspect of the experience. Great location, wonderful home, beautiful appointments, and really comfortable amenities that made it great for catching up with family. Would highly recommend and would stay again.

We were in Kennebunkport for a friends wedding over the Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed staying the this beautiful home and loved the furnishings! The location was perfect and it was so nice to be in such a beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed eating at many of the local restaurants i.e. Mabel's Lobster Claw (best lobster rolls), Alisson's for Lobster bisque and lobster rolls. We would definitely come back and stay in this property! Thank you for a great stay.

Sleeps a ton of people, lots of beds and comfy couches. Beautiful house with interested decor – almost medieval looking. Great if you need to house a lot of people.
Ernest D.Aug 2016
Great property, plenty of bedrooms and baths. Excellent back porch and yard for outdoor grilling. Not five stars but pretty close.
Vasudha T.Aug 2016
Beautiful house, well furnished and decorated. Pergola and patio is very well designed. Lots of space to hang out. Great for large families. Beds are very comfortable.

I have no problems using Vacasa in the future. I need to do a better job investigating the quality of home style that better fits my preferences.
Ann H.Jul 2016
We had a group of 10 adults, mainly women. We had a fantastic time. This location of the house made it easy to get into the downtown and to the beaches. Lots of space for everyone. The beds were unbelievably comfortable. We loved sitting by the fire pit talking late through the evening. We really enjoyed this location!

Three couples stayed here that all had a baby under two. It was difficult to make the house small child appropriate but we managed to do the best we could. I would not recommend this house for small children. I would however go back with adults only. It was a nice location near downtown Kennebunkport and the house was nice. Large enough for many people to fit comfortably. The outside patio was really nice. Overall it was a great weekend.
Anne M.May 2016
We stayed for a long weekend, the house is very exquisite. I would not recommend this house to families with young children. There were many beautiful decorations, but I would be afraid young children could not play in this home. It is perfect for adults. I would stay here again in the future.

Was a perfect house for us.Has a lot of space ,had everything that we needed.
We will rent again on the fall .
Heidi B.Jan 2016
This was a perfect property for my family to gather over the holidays. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us.
Beth M.Nov 2015
Our family stayed for an extended weekend and enjoyed the great living room/kitchen open space for family time. The space was more than enough for 3 families with little and big kiddos. Everyone commented how clean everything was and this is a family very particular with cleanliness. Location is 5-10 minute drive from shore and great, quaint shopping. Approx 30-40 min from shopping at Kittery! Outdoors was beautiful! Couple of things to prepare for: 1) be sure to read the "please note" in the directions as it gives you the last piece of directions to get to house because the house's driveway is not on river road. you need to take a left on Brookside. 2) may want to consider bringing your own DVDs/ Blu ray as the one there wouldn't play sound, 3) be prepared to have to move a lot of the decorative pieces like place settings, big heavy center pieces and other pieces as well as pillows, to get them out of the way. Overall a great place though for some family downtime and we would stay again!
Travis F.Sep 2015
Loved the house and look forward to potentially staying there next summer.
Richard A.Sep 2015
This home was overly decorated with furniture and lots of pillows. Very comfortable beds. The kitchen had everything and more in it. The grounds were lovely and it is only about a 4 min. ride into Kennebunkport so it's very convenient and very quiet right opposite Cape Arundel Golf Course. It's a very large house with a character all its own. Perhaps due to its size it might be difficult to keep it all clean, although it was very tidy. A good house for adults but maybe a little difficult for young children.

Home is clean, cozy and comfortable. Landscape is amazing! Defenetly recomend to anyone.
