LOVED the cabin, the decor and the property. It is comfortable, clean, so beautifully decorated. Fire pit was so lovely at night under the stars. Getting a fire permit was very easy.

My family really enjoyed our four night stay at the Tilted Barn Hideaway. The deck is the main attraction, with comfortable outdoor furniture and a great view out to Mount Chocorua. Inside the house, we found the living room furniture comfortable as well, and the kitchen was great for cooking our own dinners. There was plenty of space and the house was generally in good shape and clean. The master bedroom is large and has the same great view as the deck. The bedrooms are pretty sparsely furnished (there are no dressers, for example) but that didn't cause us any problems.

There were just a couple of minor issues during our stay, but nothing serious enough to reduce the rating from five stars. We had to wash some of the dishes before using them, as they had been put back into the cabinet dirty, and the water pressure in the kitchen sink was poor.

We would definitely return if we were looking to visit this area again. Staying in a comfortable home with such a great view made for a terrific getaway.

Would love to return. Large, spacious rooms. Fully equipped with nice appliances and household items. And the view - a spectacular view of Mt Chocorua and the associated range. A view that doesn't show up in the promotional pics. The deck is large on two sides of the property. It's wide open on the side facing the mountain rain. The other side is under cover - a great place to sit and listen to the rain in the trees. Great spot.

My family and I truly enjoyed our time in this home. There were 5 adults and 2 children 5 and 6 years old. It was large enough so if you wanted to hide from others, you could. We were on the go quite a bit, but we did enjoy our time just relaxing and enjoying the view. My brother saw a bear one early morning, it was walking up the hill alongside the driveway. One evening we heard quite a few coyote calls around the area. Never got to see a moose though.

This was my first time using Vrbo ant I couldn’t be more happy. The house had the most perfect view, it was secluded, and it was comfy. We had one issue that wasn’t an issues and we called vacasa and they were right on it I would 100% stay in this home again!

The place is lovely. The views are breathtaking. The design of the house is amazing. The place is only 5 minutes away from King Pines, which is super important when you ski with kids. I highly recommend this place.

This house is gorgeous. Golden Hour and sunsets are stunningly beautiful, the beds are comfortable, everything is as pictured on this site. While children are allowed, I would suggest no children under maybe 4. The deck is beautiful but the stars are spaced very far apart and a child could easily fall through, and it’s quite a drop. We have twin toddlers who are not quite 2 and when we’d get back to the house they’d immediately spring to run to the far side of the deck. We’d get them but littles are fast and this was truly a scary thing for us! Additionally, carpeting is under the dining room table which was a bit nerve wracking with little kids eating there.
Storyland is a short 30min drive, the shops at North Conway and many great restaurants are 20-25mins away. We also did a 90min trio to Santa’s village which was well worth it.
There was a coupon left on the counter with trash instructions that seemed as if we were all set with dropping trash off and it also said beach pass. We went to silver lake and had the pass on our dash and ended up with a $100 ticket - were told these coupons hadn’t been used in quite some time. Two hours before leaving Saturday my husband ran to the transfer station with the couple and the man working there told him it’s not valid and hasn’t been. My husband shared where we were staying and the man said this happened all the time with this rental. It was $5 per bag! Thankfully he had the cash but we never have cash and this was the day we were leaving. And not at all what the directions to dispose of trash said. These were the only two frustrating parts of our trip and I’m sharing so others don’t run into the same problems.
Property was clean upon arrival and I was thrilled to see sheets, towels, hand soap, dishwasher pods, hand towels and kitchen towels. I tried to get answers to if these things were given form vasa for days and finally was just told sheets were. I could’ve packed less. We also couldn’t locate that tv remote and finally found it halfway though the week, despite numerous attempts to reach Vacasa. A Facebook message finally got attention. We thought the tv was broken and were trying to alert someone without any reply - I got a reply to my email to them Tuesday on Sunday (we are home..). Not the owner’s issue but Vacasa didn’t impress me.
Manager response:
Hi, Meghan! Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your Vacasa experience. We are delighted to se you were pleased with the house and apologize for any disappointments you experienced. The Madison Transfer Station has recently changed their rules: the coupons are no longer available. Maintenance will pick up the trash from the 2 large barrels in the basement; this information has been updated for our guests. Thank you!

This house was really nice for our group of eight, which included two children and dogs.
PROS - Quite secluded location. Neighbors are technically within earshot, but this is a very private, multiple acre property surrounded by woods. We felt comfortable letting the dogs enjoy the perimeter off-leash with our supervision. The wrap-around deck is one of the best features, with a beautiful view of Mt Chocorua, especially at sunset. The gardens are well-cared for, with fruiting bushes on the property. We appreciated that there were two bathrooms, and the furniture and beds are basically all new and modern. The guest binder provided had lots of suggestions on activities in the local area. We also very much appreciated that the upper bedrooms and the main living room had AC. (Lower bedrooms had window fans and stayed quite cool at night even though daytime temps were in the high 80s.) The master bedroom is extremely spacious with ample room for an air bed, if one is needed. Lastly we loved being able to enjoy the fire pit outside and admire the stars.
CONS - No major cons, just some things to be aware of. As it is currently, the railing on the deck would not be safe for a toddler or small children. I understand this was just the style, but to be safe it needs an extra lower slat all around. We had some issues with water pressure especially upstairs; ie. two people should probably not shower at the same time. The kitchen contained the usual amenities and cookware. There was only one knife suitable for food prep and it was dull, so consider bringing your own.
JUST FYI- There is an uphill dirt driveway that has experienced some washout from rain. We were fine in our CRV. A small sedan could probably make it too, with care, but probably not in winter unless you have four wheel drive. (I think they mention this in the description.) The downtown area (Conway) is about twenty minutes away so quick trips to the store are not so quick, just plan accordingly.
Overall we enjoyed the rental very much, appreciate that the home owner has been kind enough to make it dog friendly, and would recommend it to others. Thank you!
Manager response:
Jada, we very much appreciate the thorough feedback you provided! We are happy to hear that you had an enjoyable stay with your pups and family. Please be aware that local staff is always available to assist if there are amenities in the home that fall short. We truly look forward to your next visit! Thank you.

Loved staying in Madison! Typically we stay in North Conway but opted to stay in Madison this time. Still 25 min from and Cranmore Ski Area, outlets...and only 3 min to King Pine Ski Area!
Kids loved skiing and snowboarding and tubing ... then relaxing back at the house playing cards and games. House has Netflix and amazon prime, cozy living room with fireplace .. open kitchen with bar and big dining room table . House is older with carpeting but all new chic decor and brand new furniture .. beds are very comfortable
Master is bright, sky lights and no window treatments but we didn’t mind looking at the stars at night! Overall a great find at a reasonable price!!
Manager response:
Shana, we are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! Please know we have since installed blinds in the bedrooms for your comfort. We truly look forward to hosting your next visit!
