This home is clean and beautiful. However, the access road is not plowed, nor is the driveway. Given the location, it made it impossible for a 4wheel drive car with experienced winter driver to reach the house. We had to walk in through knee high snow, and calf deep puddles of water. We parked our cars, as directed in entry parking area, also not plowed but easier to get out, only to have the plow man knock angrily on our door at 9pm in the dark and yell at us. It was scary. We dug the cars out, moved them to the plowed driveway, it snowed over 16 inches and our cars were then stuck. I called Vacasa three time but no one came to plow, the snow continued and we were stuck for two days. It was infuriating.
Before coming, I asked and was told there was high speed internet, which was necessary to us on this trip for remote school and work- the internet was not just bad, it was mostly non-existent. We could never videoconference... but even email and hot spot service was almost non existent.
These factors ruined our trip.
If internet and phone are not needed and you do not plan to go anywhere - the house is beautiful... but you may never get out snd there is no followup from customer service.
Manager response:
Hi Treena, thank you for staying with us. We are glad to hear the home met your expectations. We apologize that at the time of your reservation, the area was not immediately cleared for your vehicles. The home is on a community snow plow contract and we have no control over when they come. Regretfully, this is an alpine area, and snowfall can occur quickly and repeatedly. We do caution that guests come prepared with chains and 4WD as appropriate, and if their vehicles become stuck, it is the guest's responsibility to contact a tow truck as needed. We also supply complimentary snow shovels in our homes. We're sorry to hear you had issues with the internet, during storms or heavy snowfall it is common for internet service to be interrupted, unfortunately. I have forwarded your feedback to the local manager to further address. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again, in the future, for a more enjoyable stay!

Our family, like many, needed a change of scenery and something to lift our spirits as we were not able to travel to the East Coast to see family. This cabin made our a Christmas special.

To my observation, the cabin looks 100% new construction or a complete remodel. It was so nice to be in a brand new rental property. You can tell they went above and beyond with internal furnishings and appointments trying to make a truly hassle free experiences for renters. We had everything we needed. The only thing I could not find was a measuring cup.

The three upstairs beds are insanely well bedded with wonderfully soft warm and fluffy bedding. One amazing thing about the cabin is that there are balconies all over the place too. Also, it sits on a hill which was perfect for my kids to sled down. The back yard is very beautiful with lush evergreens everywhere. There is also a very good supply of soap and shampoos in the bathrooms and all the bathrooms are completely new and clean. The eating area and kitchen are compact but 100% doable. The main floor is warm and has a couches and TV for hanging out.

I hope they add a hot tub one day. It would finish the property off well.

The property faces I-90. This is a fact of life with the very narrow strip of land between the highway snd the mountain. The road was cleared quickly by what looked like a private snow plow after we got 6” of snow. Getting from the cabin to the main road was not an issue though it is snow conditions. We brought chains and never needed them on the trip. The noise from the highway is white noise and was not an issue for our family.

We’ve stayed in lots of rentals across WA state and this was by far the best. I’ve never been in a new property like this where you can tell the owners took pride in their rental. It was also incredibly reasonable given it was Christmas time.

I recommend. Possibly will go back for Mid-winter break.

IGNORE YOUR GPS AND turn the other way on Olson. It’s NOT up that steep hill. Addresses are confusing on this street.
This house is the quintessential NW ski cabin including funky heat and cold floors!! Part of the charm! Bring your sweaters, slippers and warm jammies!
Also- dull knives could be replaced with a sharper set, a cleared driveway would be nice, but otherwise, great location and a lovely, lovely cabin! Really charming!

the property is not what is advertised. it turned out it is very close to noisy freeway. It is very bad experience. I should never trust vacasa.
Manager response:
Hi, Gaziz! We appreciate you taking the time to tell us about your stay and are sorry to read you were unhappy. We do picture the home next to the freeway on our listing and apologize if its location surprised you. There is some noise on the top level or outside, so we will be providing earplugs for our guests. Thank you!
