This is a very nice, spacious, well-decorated home with many amenities (we weren't able to use the pool as it was closed during our visit despite it being in the 70s and 80s, and one has to bring their own rackets and balls for the tennis court).

Fabulous screened porch with a beautiful long view of the grounds and high ceiling! I would recommend moving the dining table in the porch to the other side, closer to the doorway and away from the traffic.

The beds were comfortable although one sister found the pillows too hard for her liking. The bathrooms were all beautifully updated and very well lit. There were travel-sized containers of shampoo and conditioner but no bar soap to use when bathing. The home had boxes of tissues in all the rooms which I greatly appreciated as someone with allergies.

The kitchen was not well lit and would benefit from under-cabinet lighting. There is a fixture over the island on a dimmer and a small light within the exhaust hood. We discovered soffit lighting about 4 days into our stay. There is a small button under the cabinet by the fridge that turns them on. A note should be posted for future renters so it's easily found. Without this lighting, the space is dark in the evening and not user-friendly.

Be aware that there is a step up into the main bedroom, and about 4 steps up to the porch. I mention this due to reading reviews of other places where guests were in wheelchairs and steps were problematic.

The lower level has two dehumidifiers running 24/7 and they are noisy for anyone using those spaces. There were also gel odor eaters here. We used the bedroom here for two nights and never used the space otherwise.

A huge negative for us was the chemical odor upon arrival that lasted three days. This was due to heavy-duty, Clorox-type cleaners. It literally seemed to be permeating the walls and floors. It was awful! We opened the windows to no avail. I understand wanting to clean, especially with Covid, but this was overkill. On my 3rd day of showering in the main bedroom en suite bath, I happened to put my hand on the shower wall. It was slimy. I used the hand-held shower head to rinse down all the shower walls. It seemed to me the cleaning solution was sprayed/squirted on but never rinsed. The odor went away in this space by the end of the day.

Speaking of cleaning, we found food and debris on top of the shelf above the stove, a used bag of popcorn in one of the bedrooms, dirty dishes (the dishwasher may not be great or there's some other issue), and debris on the floor of the front closet.

We called Vacasa guest services about the great room TV which we could not get to work. We also were unable to operate the fireplace. We were told we would be contacted by someone to get these things handled. No call came and we were busy so we didn't follow up.

The road along the front of the house can be loud at times, especially when sitting on the porch.

Overall we liked the home with the exception of the noted items, most notably the awful odor from the chemical cleaning products. We give four stars instead of five mainly due to this.
Manager response:
We appreciate your visit to our home, Kate. We are glad that you had a nice visit and enjoyed the screened-in porch. Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. Our listing notes that the pool closes in mid-September. The nights get too cold for us to keep it open past that point. We apologize that the supplies left did not include soap for guest use and that the cleaning was not to our usual standard. We appreciate that you reached out with your concerns and are very sorry for any delays in service. The house is bright and open with easily accessible lighting options in the kitchen. It does have multiple floors with stairs to enter and therefore is not listed as being wheelchair accessible. Due to the general area where the home is located humidifiers are necessary for the lower bedrooms to reduce dampness. We appreciate your feedback about the cleaning products used in our home. Each guest is used to different smelling products and we apologize for any concerns. The road near the house is a 2-lane, slower speed road in our quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed hosting you and hope to have the opportunity to have you visit again in the future.

Awesome house with a ton of amenities. Central location for all the area attractions, wineries, breweries, distilleries, and public beaches. Plenty of space for large groups. Lots of sitting areas. We loved the large screened porch. Only negative was a leaky toilet that took 4 days to be fixed, but with 3 other bathrooms it wasn’t a huge problem to be without it for half our stay. We’ve vacationed in this area for 7 years in a row, staying at different places each time. This was by far the best and most enjoyable, and the only one we would rent again.
Manager response:
Hi Jeff, We appreciate you leaving your feedback with us. The toilet has been addressed. We thank you for staying with us and hope to host you again in the future at one of our many properties!

We could not have been happier with the home and the amenities provided. Large pool, hot tub, private tennis court, fire pit, basketball hoop, pond and ample green space for playing with our kids outside! In addition, the home was well stocked with kitchen cooking utensils, plenty of games for kids, and was set up perfectly for spending time with family on the lovely outdoor deck or screened in porch. Management team was extremely responsive to requests. Five stars!! We would love to come back again!
