Stunning Cottage w/ Private Hot Tub, High-Speed WiFi, and Washer/Dryer

It's no surprise that this stunning cottage has been featured on HGTV, and in Lonny, Cottage Living, and Bungalows & Cottages magazines - with its stylishly rustic touches and comfy vibes, the Leo Cottage perfectly embodies Harbor Country’s curated, casual aesthetic. Designed and owned by the sought-after firm of Kate Marker Interiors (whose work has been recognized by Architectural Digest and Luxe Home, and touted as one of Domino’s “20 Designers to Watch”), this home offers the best combination of beauty and comfort in the heart of Union Pier.

The cottage exterior greets guests with a charming wood picket gate and an award-winning garden featured in Better Homes and Gardens magazine. Upon entering, patterned floors and a charming palette provide the utmost in cottage comfort. Two queen bedrooms are perfectly appointed, in addition to a generous bunk room. The main bedroom/bathroom features a stand-alone claw foot tub for the kids to bathe in after a day at the beach, or for enjoying some private time with a glass of wine. The main living area features vaulted ceilings and rustic exposed beams that lend a dramatic aspect to the space. Perhaps the greatest features of the home are its two wood-burning free-standing fireplaces, one in the front family room and the other in the main suite.

The Leo Cottage kitchen has been updated to include many modern amenities while still retaining a vintage lake house feel, with newly installed kitchen cabinets, appliances, lighting, and faucets. You'll love preparing tonight's vegetables in the generous farmhouse sink! The well-equipped kitchen includes an ample center prep island with bar stools for entertaining, plus a breakfast area with booth seating. The dining options extend to the outdoors with a large furnished patio and a well-appointed screened-in gazebo to keep the bugs away. Accents of rattan, rope, natural fiber, whitewash, and shiplap contribute to the home's Lake Michigan vacation themes. Guests will also have access to a private hot tub (a great place to unwind), and an outdoor shower to rinse away the sand after a long day at the beach. The Leo Cottage comes with two portable beach chairs and a Ping-Pong table in the garage for some family entertainment. With so much to offer, this home is sure to provide your family with beautiful and lasting memories!

Beyond it's perfect location two minutes walk from a gorgeous stretch of Lake Michigan shoreline, this beautiful little cottage exceeds expectations on every level. So much character and warmth in its design, and countless thoughtful details. Much more than just a place to stay. We loved our time here.

Home was decorated beautifully as expected. Only disappointment is lack of storage space. There are no dressers or drawers or available closet space for your clothes and no where to put toiletries in bathroom. Otherwise a great space, good location.

Every detail of this cottage is more thoughtful than the last. Not only is the property stunning, private and relaxing, the interior is charming beyond words. The rugs, lighting, wallpaper are all working in harmony to create the most beautiful and comfortable surroundings. We would love to return again and again.

Every detail of the home is beautiful furnished and accessorized. The outdoor space is gorgeous and I really enjoyed the hot tub! Can't wait to stay again. Walking distance to a beautiful beach.

The Leo Cottage is a great place to get away for some relaxation. It has several outdoor spaces to enjoy & it close to the beach.

Cottage and grounds are spectacular. Well designed and beautiful. Three bedrooms, very comfortable beds, three full bathrooms, cozy fireplaces, a clawfoot tub, a Hot Tub, close walk to Lake Michigan beach. We had a wonderful weekend.
Two items to note for future renters:
First--there is not a dishwasher. So be prepared to wash all items by hand. Bring extra dish soap and sponges. The kitchen faucet is European style--so the hot faucet is separate from the cold faucet, making it tricky to get the perfect temperature unless you fill the basin with water each time you wash. And, finally there is not a sprayer. The kitchen sink is beautiful--but not as functional as you might like as a renter.
Second: The house rules state that there are three parking spots for cars. One in the driveway and two in front of the house. We parked two cars in the driveway and two cars in a niche in front of the house. However, the Union Pier police placed parking tickets for $50 each on the two cars parked in front of the house--stating that street parking is not allowed at all. A phone call was placed to the police department and we were told that 'It doesn't matter what you were told by your rental company. No street parking in Union Pier'. So--try to carpool and just use the driveway.

Every time we come to the Leo Cottage, we never want to leave. It`s truly a magical cottage. You feel yourself relax as soon as you walk into the place! Every detail is a special little treasure. There are so many living spaces to enjoy from the breakfast nook to the kitchen to the game room. The master bedroom is a dream with the most comfortable bed and linens - makes it easy to stay in bed all morning!

Cozy cottage with most everything you`d need. Comfortable beds, lots of linens, adequate kitchen. We loved being able to use all of the various cottage gathering places at the same time; it kept everyone happy!

We were sad to have cut our long weekend short due to work commitments but we loved our two nights at Leo Cottage. It was a quick drive from Chicago and we really felt like it was a nice break. The yard is exceptional.. a quiet retreat with the birds and the gardens. The interiors were amazing. Bunk bed room for kids was fab. Thank you!
