This is a really nice tucked away place. There are some cosmetic issues with the home. There are plenty of bed rooms, bathrooms and outdoor deck space. It is a great location for shore casting and kite surfing. It was very windy during our stay. Also, beach access is over some dunes, so you need to be active enough to climb the dunes.

We really enjoyed our stay.

This house features all the amenities you'd want in a vacation rental - fully stocked kitchen, brand new sectional couch, comfortable beds & black-out curtain, mini fridge & pool table in the game room, kids toys & games. It's a short walk from the beach, and a quick drive (or walk) to a few local restaurants, including our favorite Watermen's Bar & Grill. We love this non-commercialized part of the Outer Banks!

Beautiful location and nice decor. The house is decorated nicely but the couch needs a good cleaning and is rather disgusting. The house is clean and tidy but could use a good deep cleaning ( the utensil drawer is dirty and some of the dishes were put away dirty.
Manager response:
Hi, Pinny. Thank you for staying with us! We are glad to hear you enjoyed the home's beautiful location and nice decor but apologize for any issues you encountered with cleanliness. We have passed along your feedback to the local housekeeping staff and manager so they are aware of your comments. We truly hope we can host you for a more comfortable stay in the future.

My wife and I stayed at this house in October 2021. The house is very clean inside with a few minor exceptions. The house is big with bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd level. The kitchen is huge and very well stocked with plenty of plates, silverware, utensils, pots and pans, etc. Linens and towels were provided. No need to bring any cooking utensils whatsoever. The kitchen appeared to be recently redone as it was quite spotless and the appliances seemed new. Cabinets were like-new condition.
We rented the house for an astrophotography vacation. It was just the two of us. We selected this house because of the large deck on the top level with a clear shot pointing to the North towards Polaris and wide-open view to the East. The only view not visible was to the direct West. The neighborhood had very little light pollution and was perfect for astrophotography.
The beds were comfortable. The sheets and bedspreads were clean. The bathrooms were very clean; at least as clean as any 5-star hotel. It has 2 king beds on the second level along with 4 single beds distributed between the 4 bedrooms on the 2nd level. The top-level bedroom had a queen bed. It would have been nice to have a King bed in the top-level bedroom instead of the Queen bed. That was probably the biggest fault I could find with the rental. We would not have even stepped foot on the 2nd level if the top-level bedroom had a King bed. All the bedrooms had Roku TV’s. Ironically, the only TV that did not have Roku was the top-level great room. The couches in the great room were in horrible condition. We had to throw a bedspread over them to sit on them. The springs and cushions on the couches were shot. The condition of the couches in the great room was inconsistent with the cleanliness found throughout the rest of the house. The dining room table was huge. The thermostats were set to not cool below 72 degrees. That was not an issue in October, although it came close to being an issue on a couple of days when it became somewhat muggy. There were a couple of instances where it would have been nice to crank the AC down to 69° to take some of the humidity out of the air. Don’t get me wrong, we’d stay here again without hesitation. If the top-level bedroom had a King bed and the great room furniture were cleaner and more durable, this house would be perfect. The pool table on the first level was a great time-killer. For the price, this place was incredible.

House was awesome but if you are planning a trip check what is and what is not open, we had some issues finding places to eat this time of year.

Great rental house! It is located one block from the beach but might as well be oceanfront because the beach access is in the backyard. We had a great family vacation!
