No favorite spots. Our location was more of a launching point for the surrounding areas. Central to areas we wanted to visit and trails to hike.

Snowboarding was great! El Sabor is a nice place for drinks and a bite to eat after a day on the mountain. The woodpile had kinldling interspersed in the wood. Making a fire was a breeze.

We were here during the summer. I suggest taking a gondola ride to the top of Vail ski resort. The views are amazing and there are plenty of things to do (biking, zip line, ropes course, summer tubing, truck tour, and in 2016 there will be a roller coaster). There are many great restaurants in Vail Village and Lionshead Village. Check out the local breweries- Crazy Mountain and Vail Brewing Company.

We were there for a lacrosse tournament so spent most of our time with that. However we did ride the gondola to the top and did the zip line which was fun. We also rented bikes and went south from Lionshead about 5mi to the end of the trail - lots of fun but mostly uphill coming back. The highlight was our 1hr 45min hike to the falls on the Booth Falls trail which starts within walking distance from the condo. Weather was great!

East Vail is a little more remote from town that we realized. It is a nice, very quiet area for a get-away but be aware that it is around 6-7 miles from town,.
