Recent Venice guest reviews

We loved being in a quiet neighborhood that allowed us to walk our dogs. The proximity to Shamrock Park for cycling was great. Issues were handled by the owner and Yvette at Vacasa were promptly addressed.

Location, close to great beaches and parks, restaurants, and shops but in a sweet residential neighborhood. There's a lot to love about Venice - happy and friendly people, great beaches, sweet downtown. Anything you might want to get to was 5-15 minutes away. The house had a great setup for a full family with a well equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and space to spread out indoors and out. We loved our stay!

Happy Palms is a lovely, comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and the kitchen was well supplied. The lanai and pool area was a great place to relax and read a book. We had an issue with the outside front entrance and garage lights. We reached out to Vacasa and they sent somebody over and fixed the issue that afternoon. We enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Happy Palms.

Where is Venice?

This beach community sits on the Western coast of Florida, facing the Gulf of Mexico. The lively bayfront city of Sarasota sits to the north of Venice, and Port Charlotte's parks and beaches are about the same distance away to the southeast. Take the 60-mile drive to Fort Myers and explore its surrounding parks, like the Charlotte Harbor Reserve State Park. The sights and tastes of Tampa are an easy day trip away - about 70 miles to Venice's north.

Things to do in Venice, Florida

Venice Beach, the town's crown jewel, is a certified Blue Wave beach - safe and clean for the whole family. Drop a fishing line at the beach's public pier and try your luck with the local aquatic life. Keep an eye out for dolphins playing offshore! If you're feeling athletic, bring a volleyball and challenge your friends to a game on the sand courts here. Be sure to check out Caspersen Beach to look for washed-up shark teeth - the morning after a storm often yields the best finds.

Golf enthusiasts can tee off at Lake Venice Golf Club, a 27-hole course by the water. Can't get enough of that sunshine and ocean breeze? Bike around the Venetian Waterway Park trail, a walking and biking trail on either side of the Intracoastal Waterway.

Whether you're here with family, friends, or your significant other, this cute Gulf Coast town offers the best of the Sunshine State. Book a Venice vacation rental for your next visit to this wonderful community!
