Recent Mission Bay vacation rental reviews

We loved the location! We took full advantage of the boardwalk & beach all day everyday. I liked that I could do laundry daily which made unpacking when home easy. Having the full kitchen helped us keep food costs down as well. Overall a great place in the right location that was family friendly.

Our family of six along with two extended family members stayed for five nights. The beach house is beautiful inside and out. There are two beach cruiser bikes to use along with boogie boards and sand toys, beach chairs, umbrella, and wagon to take things down to the beach. It is about a 15 second walk to the beach. Very close! The kitchen has everything you would need to cook while you’re on vacation if you choose to. The couch on the upper floor is not very comfortable and is small. We didn’t mind though since there are also other stools and chairs to use in that room. There are no pictures of it, but the couch has a Murphy bed behind it that pulls down. The beds are somewhat comfortable. If you have guests who cannot handle stairs then this is not the right house for them. There is a lot of going up and down stairs which we did not mind and is nice to have different levels if you have some people who like to go to bed earlier than others. The washer and dryer on the bottom level is great. We used it several times. There is parking for one car in the garage and an outdoor parking space next to it. We rented a Toyota Highlander and it barely fit into the garage. Just keep this in mind. We loved having four full baths in the house. There were more than enough towels in each bathroom and beach towels also. On the upper deck has a beautiful view of the ocean. It isn’t a full view as you have to look around other buildings. We enjoyed grilling on the top deck and also roasted marshmallows on the bottom patio over the gas fire pit. Overall, this is a great beach home and has everything you need. It probably isn’t a great option though for older guests who don’t like Stairs or toddlers that you would worry about going up and down the stairs.

Cohasset Getaway was a nice property with a nice location. Close to the sandy beach, close to Broadwalk, easy access. I was happy that the other reviews I read mentioned the parking....because of that we took a midsize car to the property which was perfect. House was clean and easy to enter with the codes provided through text. Would definately stay here again.

Our Mission Bay vacation rentals are a popular choice for visitors year-round and offer plenty of options for recreation and relaxation.

Things to do in Mission Bay

While the saltwater bay is the area's main attraction, you'll find plenty of ways—both on the water and on land—to spend your days when you stay in one of our homes in this waterfront neighborhood on the outskirts of San Diego. The hardest part of your stay is going to be trying to figure out what to do first!

Golf enthusiasts can practice their swing at the Mission Bay Golf Course. Originally built in 1955, the now 18-hole executive course is the only one in the San Diego area that offers night lighting. The area's other attractions include the Mission Bay Aquatic Center and the dog-friendly Fiesta Island. Of course, if you are looking for a big city experience, you can spend your day exploring the sights and sounds of downtown San Diego.

Mission Bay Park

With 27 miles of shoreline and sandy beaches galore, Mission Bay Park draws swimmers, kayakers and paddlers, sailors, boaters, jet skiers, fishermen, golfers, birders, picnickers, beach volleyball enthusiasts, bicyclists - you name it, you can do it all at Mission Bay.

The saltwater bay is part of Mission Bay Park, the largest aquatic park in the world, so you'll spend your days enjoying the area's natural beauty. Even SeaWorld San Diego, one of Southern California's most popular tourism destinations, is located within the park. Also in the neighborhood is the historic seaside amusement park Belmont Park. With wooden rollercoasters and a variety of thrilling rides, this popular attraction promises plenty of fun for the entire family.

Mission Bay and the surrounding area

Mission Bay is side-by-side with the funky Mission Beach neighborhood, with miles of sandy Pacific shoreline, two popular boardwalks, and excellent surfing, dining and shopping. Book one of our Mission Bay vacation rentals and you'll be within reach of all the services you might need for an easy beach vacation, yet with close proximity to downtown San Diego and other popular San Diego neighborhoods and beaches, making it a great home base from which to explore the city at large. Downtown San Diego, the nightlife of Pacific Beach, and laid-back La Jolla Village are all less than 10 miles from the Bay.

With fun and relaxation to be had from sun up to sun down, our selection of centrally-located Mission Bay cottages and condo rentals are the perfect choice for your next beach getaway!
