If you own a vacation home in Cannon Beach, you probably know that it’s consistently listed as one of the top 10 beaches in the world. You also know that the iconic natural beauty of Haystack Rock, Ecola State Park, Arcadia Beach, and Hug Point are each a huge draw for visitors from around the Pacific Northwest and the world.
Renting in Cannon Beach is a great way to boost your income and share the beauty of the Oregon Coast with your visitors. But navigating the rental regulations can be complicated.
Your guests can expect a 1.8 percent State of Oregon lodging tax and an 8 percent Cannon Beach lodging tax. Cannon Beach allows one rental every 14 days, but homes with a short-term rental permit can enter a lottery to rent their property without limitation for five years. However, only five or six homes win this lottery annually. It’s important to remember that in order to apply for a STR permit, you’ll have to go in-person to the City of Cannon Beach offices and submit to a mandatory property inspection.
We offer a comprehensive, commonsense approach to short-term rental property management. Comprehensive means housekeeping services, extensive marketing on multiple web platforms, an industry-leading nightly rate algorithm, and 24/7 support for reservations and customer service. When you work with us, you get knowledgeable, local professionals and access to powerful international marketing. Vacation rental management can be simple, so let’s talk about what we can do for you.

In 2009, after assuming responsibility for his wife's family vacation home, our founder Eric Breon struggled to find a property manager capable of providing quality care and a satisfying financial return. This is how Vacasa began—with a vision to deliver a seamless experience for vacation home owners, through innovative technology and local staff, wherever guests want to travel.
In the last decade, thousands of homeowners have joined the Vacasa family, and we now manage more than 23,000 vacation properties around the world. We’d love to help you discover the Vacasa difference: earn more, worry less, and rent with ease.
