The house itself is beautiful. We did this as a winter rental so we didn’t get to use all of the warmer weather lake amenities but there were plenty available. During the winter, the hot tub with a sunset view, the fire pit, and the heated bathroom fans were perfect! The house is spacious with good sized bedrooms and bathrooms. Towels on every bed was great. There was plenty of cookware and dishes for large groups. There are even two fridges. The modular movable couch was great for our kids. There were a couple of pockets that could be updated, tidied or fixed like broken tile in some corners, a cracked countertop, some of the closets, utensil drawers but that’s being nit picky. The WiFi was very poor so streaming and kids tech didn’t really work… Regardless, this house was great and would still recommend!

Future renters beware... You are not allowed to use either of the indoor fireplaces per the instructions left IN the fireplaces. It doesn't say this online. The property is nice overall and there are plenty of beds and games. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing. However, there is only heat on the main floor and loft. You have to use electric heaters in the basement but then the circuit breakers trip if you have them on while playing on the pinball machine. If you are looking for great food in the area, Vito's is a MUST! The pizza isn't great but the pastas are phenomenal.

All the bedrooms and enough bathrooms for everyone. Enough amenities and ample space including the great big basement with two bedrooms downstairs. Making it 6 bedrooms.

At about 50 miles from Charlottesville and 70 miles from Richmond, Lake Anna makes an easy destination for city-dwelling Virginians. It’s also a popular vacation spot from Washington, D.C., which sits about 100 miles northeast. Things to Do in Lake Anna

If you’re staying at a Lake Anna vacation rental, odds are you’re here for the water. Boating, jet skiing, and water sports reign supreme here, and you’ll find ample opportunities for renting them if you didn’t bring your own. Lake Anna is also known for its year-round fishing; since its water never freezes, you can catch a largemouth bass here in any season.

Nature lovers will feel right at home in Lake Anna State Park, the local hub for hiking, biking, and beach exploring. Visitors can even try their luck panning for gold! For a rustic lakeside experience, book a Lake Anna cabin rental and take in the simplicity of your surroundings.

On the opposite side of the lake, the Boardwalk—home to minigolf, an arcade, beach volleyball, and more—remains a hit with kids and adults alike. Or, leave the kids at the vacation rental and peruse the local wineries. Lake Anna Winery is not to be missed, but if you’d rather get a more diverse sampling, try a local tour like the Heart of Virginia wine trail. If wine’s not your style, the Belmont Farm Distillery is certainly worth a visit, too.

Golf enthusiasts can tee off at the Meadow Farms Golf Course or the Tanyard Country Club. The towns surrounding your Lake Anna rental are rich with antiquing opportunities; make sure to stop by a few shops in Fredericksburg or Bumpass for a shot at finding a hidden gem. When you start to get hungry, indulge in freshly-made crab cakes or some classic Virginia barbecue.

You’ll never be bored on your Lake Anna vacation. Find the cabin or home that suits you best, and let the fun begin.
