Easy access and location to Dollywood

The cabin was beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay. I can’t give it 5 stars for 3 reasons. The first reason is because it was advertised as having a pool table and it doesn’t. The ad needs to be updated it has Pac-Man and a foosball table. The second reason is because the Queen mattress desperately needs to be replaced. I had a spring poking my back. I felt like I had been beaten after sleeping on it. The last reason is because while we were there some workers showed up. No one told us people would be coming to work on the cabin while we were there. That night when we got back to the cabin we found they had left ladders attached to the cabin. the trees have grown up since the photos were taken so that’s your view unless you go when the trees do not have leaves.

We enjoyed our stay at Avalon Mist. The view is amazing! The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars is that there is an intermittent humming, buzzing sound that can be heard from the bedroom. It wasn't the HVAC and don't think it was the hot tub either. Luckily we were tired enough on the subsequent nights to fall asleep anyway. I notified Vacasa using the provided address. Otherwise this home would be 5 stars!

Where are our Pigeon Forge vacation rentals?

Located in eastern Tennessee, this mountain resort city is just three-and-a-half hours from the bustling country music hub of Nashville and two-and-a-half from charming, outdoorsy Chattanooga. Neighboring towns Gatlinburg and Sevierville are full of history and Appalachian charm. And, of course, the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is only minutes away from our Pigeon Forge vacation rentals and cabins. With a location like this, our cabin rentals in Pigeon Forge are the perfect addition to a Tennessee road trip or family vacation.

Things to do in Great Smoky Mountains National Park

First and foremost: the outdoors are calling. Abundant rainfall and many different elevation levels make for a fascinating display of flora and fauna in Great Smoky Mountains National Park. You’ll have your pick of trails to hike, rivers and lakes to fish, float, or kayak, and roadside overlooks for easy mountain vistas.

From April through November you can drive about an hour from your vacation rental to Clingmans Dome for a unique way to see these breathtaking views. A very steep, spiraled walkway rises from the trees to meet an observation tower for 360-degree panoramas. Or you can drive the 11-mile loop at Cades Cove, passing lush meadows and historic, rustic buildings that are just perfect for photographing.

The trailhead to Laurel Falls is about 20 minutes from our cabins and a popular spot for families to hike. At two-and-a-half miles out and back, it’s not too strenuous and offers beautiful scenery and cascading waterfalls. There are near-endless ways to get outside and explore, so don’t miss out. And if you book a cabin in Pigeon Forge with a hot tub, you can soak your tired legs after an exciting day outside.
